Gotta love this place. Great extensive menu, lots of daily specials, large portions, reasonable prices, quick service... did I leave out anything? How about free parking out front since it is located in a strip mall. Came here with a friend for a leisurely weekend breakfast. We both enjoyed different skillets, which neither of us was able to finish. Leftovers for tomorrows breakfast. The coffee here is good too and truly bottomless.If you enjoy diners, this is the place for you.

Our foodie group came to Flapjacks for breakfast on a Sunday morning and it was a royal treat. Flapjacks is located in a strip mall off of W 71st street, and it is a huge space with plenty of seating. The ambiance is very nice with a homestyle family restaurant type setting and decor. I did feel comfortable while dining in the restaurant. Our group was able to obtain a huge table and sit together as a group. I did arrive late to the group, and everyone had ordered already, but our server came over right away and took my beverage order. After bringing my orange juice and hot tea within a few minutes, I was able to give her my food order of the protein omelette with a side of pancakes. The amazing thing was everyone else's food order came out within 10 minutes after I placed my order,and my food came out shortly after that as well. It was very fast and impressive! The presentation of the food was incredible and tasted terrific! The protein omelette was perfect and cooked with love and high quality. The flavors were impeccable. The pancakes looked thick and fluffy and tasted perfect as well! Everyone loved their dishes, and there were no complaints. Our server was excellent and took very good care of our group. She was on top of everything and demonstrated excellent customer service. Flapjacks pancake house was the best breakfast place I had been to in quite a while, and it definitely reminded me of the old family style restaurants going to as a kid with my parents such as Denny's or mom and pop restaurants in the neighborhood. I would definitely describe Flapjacks as an upscale Denny's or IHOP with better quality food and presentation. There is nothing else really to say about Flapjacks except that it is a fantastic place to go with family or friends for breakfast and it is worth the price you pay for a meal. You have to come check out Flapjacks for breakfast! You will not be disappointed! You will have a big smile on your face!

Stopped by Flap Jacks to pick up breakfast on the way home from work this morning. I was greeted with friendly customer service. I ordered a half order of biscuits and gravy, with two eggs over easy. The gravy was a thin and lacked flavor. The eggs were made perfectly.

Convenient spot with good food, reasonable prices, and a huge menu with lots of variety. It's pretty busy and potentially slightly understaffed but we didn't have to wait for a table. Friendly waitress in Jimena. Food took a bit longer to come out but came out all together. Will definitely return. Water tasted like there was a filter and not as hard as Indy water.

The service is painfully slow. On a Sunday, they had one server, but 3 people standing around. Then, they had what looked like 2 people in the kitchen, but as slow as the food was coming out, they both couldn't have been working. We ordered an order of chicken fingers and 2 taco salads. We waited an extremely long time to get our food, and the restaurant was pretty empty when we arrived, although it began to fill up while we were there.I really wanted to like this place, but the slow service kills it. And the food is NOT worth the wait.

A decent diner spot with a wide variety of options. We were hungry one morning and wanted some breakfast before starting our day. Found this spot not too far and decided to give it a try. The ambiance is a family friendly semi-quiet spot. It's easy to see people coming here after church or just for a breakfast. They do close at 3 PM so make sure you go at least by 1 PM for the best quality in my opinion. We got the pancakes which were just ok. For a place called flapjacks you would think they would be mind blowing. The Belgian waffle was also pretty standard. They have a variety of toppings you can put on the waffles or pancakes as well. The grits were delicious and reminded us of some home cooking. They also offer egg white options as well as tater tots, French fries and hash browns. The sandwich, at least the one that came on croissant, came at a good size for the price. Service was pretty good we were sat immediately even at what I would consider peak time for brunch. Our waitress was very attentive and never too far to refill our drinks or to make sure we were satisfied. The other waiters were always only an earshot away. I'd give it 3.5/5 if I could but I rounded up to a 4.

Service at this restaurant was once a miss for my husband and I, but since then, it's been a hit! We enjoy going for a filling meal for under $14 for each of us. The servers are friendly, but sometimes it can be a wait for your food or a refill on your coffee. Not too busy on a weekend before 12:30pm, but I think it picks up around then. If you like thick fluffy pancakes, this is the place for you!

Friendly service. I got the "kitchen sink" skillet (Ham, sausage, bacon, peppers, onions and two types of cheeses) with a side of pancakes.
