Five Star Dance Studios

My husband and I were looking for a studio where we could take lessons and have a first dance choreographed for our wedding. We called several studios and Five Star Dance Studios was the only place that called us back. Even though our choices were limited, we are so happy we found this studio. I have danced for many years at many different studios, and dance studios are notoriously disorganized. I appreciate that the staff at Five Star is organized and communicates clearly. The staff and the students at the studio are all so welcoming and supportive. Our first dance choreography was excellent. We received many compliments specifically about the choreography from the guests at our wedding! We are looking forward to continuing our lessons.

My fiancé and I are getting married on 12/18/2021! We have no experience in dance whatsoever but wanted to learn a choreographed first dance and wow out guests! This Dance studio has phenomenal dance teachers and staff that are very patient and you can tell they all love their jobs! We felt very welcomed from the very first moment that we walked in the door! This place is a Very positive and fun environment! We will continue coming here! To continue to grow in our dancing!

Five Star Dance Studio is the best! Fantastic instructors, fun relaxed atmosphere. Whether you just want to learn the basics of ballroom dance or become a pro, Five Star is the place to be!

Wife and I went here before our wedding. They sucker you in with low rates, get you involved in five or six different dances, and then show you the bill for if you really want to learn them. For us, the bill was $2000. That's a vacation!The instructors seemed nice enough and knowledgeable, but they seriously need to reconsider their pricing.

My wife and I have been taking lessons since February of 2011. Each of the instructors we've had have been helpful and fun to work with. Five Star holds weekly parties that allows new coming students to practice dancing in an environment where everyone is learning. This environment helps everyone build up his/her social dancing skills to prepare for a wedding, or a night out dancing at a local club in Indianapolis. Group classes are also available most evenings through the week.To ensure you have the proper expectations for your first lesson: Dance is a skill. Skills are learned through practice, and the formation of good habits. No one is born a good dancer. The skill must be taught, and learned over time. So don't expect to start dancing a week before your wedding and be Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers during your first dance at your wedding reception.What I can say, is that if you enjoy listening to music, and enjoy other forms of interpretive art, you will likely enjoy learning to dance as well. Take your time when you're getting started. Be patient, and try to have fun learning to dance.

My husband and I tried another competitor and didn't like their pushy style. We stopped in on a whim and spoke with Jeff at the Greenwood location. He was welcoming and we left there knowing this is where we wanted to take lessons. We have been there about 6 or so months and we have loved every minute of it. It has given us more confidence and we are practicing for our first public appearance in a couple weeks. My husband was very hesitant at first, but now he enjoys it as much as I do! Felt like a scam from the moment we walked in the door. The manager seemed like a scam artist, and wouldn't listen to anything we had to say. The inside of the building was very run down, it looked like it might have been an old doctors office maybe. After our lessons we were highly disappointed. We would not recommend this place to anyone.

I LOVE the Greenwood Five Star Dance Studio. The staff is so friendly, welcoming, and patient. They pay attention to your specific needs as an individual and have you dancing out the door!

Friendly knowledgable instructors and a friendly environment. They will happily work with you to help you reach your personal dancing goals. Weekly dance parties and group classes of every skill level, as well as regular dance events and competitions for those so inclined. You won't find a better group of people who want to see you grow and succeed in dance.

I went to the Greenwood location and I really enjoyed my experience there. I came knowing nothing and after a few weeks felt very comfortable with the basics of a variety of dances. I enjoyed the atmosphere there, and I felt so at ease learning. I'd wake up dancing. I'd dance when no one was watching at work, I loved it. I had to stop for family reasons, but I haven't stopped thinking about it since I left.
