I can't get past the House smoked cottage bacon & House made Garlic Ring Bologna! If you've not had garlic ring bologna (think summer sausage) - you're missing out on a treat and seriously strong breath. This shop is a progeny of the original in Portland IN. (both are great)Solid service, fresh meats and cheeses (and roll butter!).Not the best parking on Walnut street side of building but all good.

I've used just about every butcher in this town from the grocery stores to the independently operated shops and nobody beats Fisher Meats service. They are fast, professional, and willing to work to meet any needs you might have. I use therm for my restaurant supplies and wish I would have started using Fisher Meats when I first opened 3 years ago. No matter what your meat market needs may be Fisher is hands down your best option

Good quality meats at a good price. Two locations Muncie and Portland. I like the Muncie location more selection. Better quality than March and other chain stores. Price is comparable.

We call ahead the day before and they always have our order ready exactly like we want it. They wrap it in freezer paper and have Never had any problem filling our orders large or small. We live an hour away! Hands down this place has the Best Meat, Prices, and service then anywhere around us. My parents went there for years and now I take my family. Portland Is the one we go to never been to Muncie's.

July of 2023 Dealt with Fisher Meats in Pennville, Indiana. These are very dishonest people. The owner named Brad Fisher cannot communicate and lies to cover his tracks. We did not get all of our meat from the cows we had slaughtered. He argues that he does not understand the directions and talks in circles and complains about the awful mess he inherited from the previous owners. He said a cow only has one bone in its body and that is the femur bone. We got 8" of the femur bone cut into 6 pieces and he said, "That is all there was for making broth." Says he did not understand the directions and that is not his problem. We paid a premium price for the slaughter and processing fee... We were ripped off!!

Clean and bright. Helpful people. Good selection of meats and cheese. I noticed there was smoked pork chops next to fresh meats in the cold case. I asked why they would do this as its not sanitary, but no one seemed to know why they could do this. I certainly won't by the smoked meats.

I love the meats. Customer service is lacking.Made my second trip (40 miles ttl) to buy Sloppy Joe mix which was in their ad.Out again this morning. Went to the meat counter, where 5 ladies behind the counter were engaged in a personal conversation. I need to mention that I was the only customer at the meat case. Three of them made direct eye contact with me but made no effort to assist me. After waiting patiently for about 30 seconds, I broke into their conversation to ask about Sloppy Joe in backstock. The one lady got onto the phone and told me that you were indeed out (again). I asked about a rain check and she said no and she turned away and ignored me. One of the ladies offered to call me when it came in. I told her that two trips from Gaston was already too many.Being in the retail business, I know how hard it is to get new customers. I always want to know why I have lost a customer, so I am doing you the favor of letting you know why.You have just lost a long time customer due to bad customer service!
