El Lago Mexican Restaurant

This is my husband and I's got to Sunday lunch spot! The food is amazing and delicious. You must try the Burrito Marino, I get it every single time. Overall, one of my favorite places

Stopped in here with a group of 9. We stopped in at 500 and my 530 it was very busy and 600pm there was a wait. Great option for groups. The salsa is very good and has a Smokey spice. The Mexican bowels are good and large Margs are perfect!

El Lago is my family's favorite Mexican restaurant in all of Fishers! We come here for dinner at least once a week, and the menu is so extensive that all four of us can get something different every time, without repeats. El Lago also has some of the nicest staff members who are very welcoming to customers and attentive to their needs during the meal. El Lago is best known for their flavored margaritas and cocktails, they also offer a pretty good selection of soft drinks. Most of the Mexican restaurants in our area serve Pepsi, but El Lago has Coke products (much to my Diet Coke-loving family's delight!) My family starts off every meal at El Lago with their signature chips and salsa, as well as a bowl of queso to share. The chips are always served hot, which I appreciate. I also love that each person at the table gets their own salsa bowl, which makes the dining experience much less messy and more convenient. Speaking of the salsa, it is probably the best salsa within a 10-mile radius! It's light, but the chunks of tomato and onion keep it from feeling "watery", and it has a touch of spice that isn't completely overpowering. My favorite part is that every vegetable and herb in the salsa tastes fresh, and of course the chips make a perfect vessel! The queso is pretty standard in terms of flavor, but it's very thin and does not stick to the chip. My sister's favorite dish is the arroz con pollo, which is served with a side of tortillas. The idea is that customers can make their own soft tacos using the rice, chicken, and queso mixture, but it tastes pretty delicious by the spoonful as well! Tonight, I had the chicken soft tacos, and I was really impressed with how flavorful and juicy the chicken was. I loaded my tacos up with cheese, peppers, onions, tomatoes, and salsa, creating the perfect balance of flavors. My mother usually enjoys the El Lago flautas, which are kind of like hard tacos rolled into a "tube" of sorts. They are served with guacamole, tomatoes, and lettuce. El Lago never disappoints, and it is the perfect place to enjoy a weekend dinner with the "familia!"

Delish! A must try to a local favorite spot. Make sure to get the cantarita and enjoy your moment of time.

I grew up in Colorado and my family is Hispanic. This place is the real deal. I've tried numerous dishes as I wanted to make sure that I didn't have a one hit wonder. Nope... the menu is amazing! Friendly, fast service with a great family atmosphere. Any dish that has "El Lago" in the name is going to amaze you.

Food was authentic and delicious! I don't love the margaritas bc it's a pre-mixed drink but everything else is great!

My wife and I stopped by after church for some good Mexican food, and El Lago did not disappoint. Wife had the Steak bowl and I chose the shrimp salad. Both were excellent. The steak was especially tender and tasty and I enjoyed the the shrimp salad greatly. The avocado special appetizer was wonderful. Excellent service and perfect ambience. Great quality. Our favorite Mexican restaurant for sure.

Recommended to us by a friend and all I got to say is this - THE BEST I'VE had in a longtime! Food, substantial portions, service was very good, and the margaritas were phenomenal! Place was busy for a Wednesday but not too crowded, everyone was having a good time too! I will be going back for my monthly Mexican night out with my wife...Thanks!

I've never regretted coming here it's a hit everytime my wife and I come here every couple months cause it a little far from where we live

I came here with my Parents coming from Florida and I have to say this restaurant was spectacular! There were some downsides like with the chips tasting flavorless (I recommend the Salsa if you're getting chips) and how long the we waited for the food to come out! We sat there for 30 minutes!! We did come on a Friday night so they could've been short staffed or there was too many people. Overall I rated this 4 stars because their steak tacos were amazing!!!!
