El Cielito Lindo

We stopped here on a 5 hour road trip and enjoyed a tasty, quick meal with friendly service and good prices. I ordered the steak and shrimp tacos al a carte...the tacos lacked flavor a bit compared to some of my favorite taquerias but the charro beans and grilled jalapeños were excellent! One of my kids raved about his beef chimichanga. Definitely recommend for tasty Mexican food!

Food is always amazing here. This place gets packed around lunch and dinner time and the weekends also always packed. There's a waiter there that is always happy to see everyone come in and makes good recommendations but to be honest everything here is delicious! They also do carry out and it's pretty quick ! A lot faster than their neighbors McDonald's!

The portions are very generous. Today we had tortilla soup and chicken nachos. Could have just had one or the other. Service was good we went at an off time 2:00 p.m. Ingredients looked and tasted fresh. There was a lot of trash on the ground at the front entrance that needs some attention. Pleased that the food was so good!

We had an event in town and nowhere took reservations. We walked in with 15 people, prepared to wait. They seemed happy to have us and sat us about 5 minutes later. Our server was friendly and quick!! Our drinks were delivered quickly and kept full. All of our dishes were quick, accurate, and tasted fantastic. What an amazing find and wonderful family lunch we had. Highly recommend!!

Tried this restaurant for the first time while visiting my mom. The food was OK. Both my daughter and I ordered the chicken chimichanga. We thought that they were on the small side, and so was my mother's taco salad. The food was served relatively quickly and was hot. Service was good.

They used to be OK, but the Last meal we had , on Fathers Day of all days, was awful! It's been going down for awhile now. We want be back.​

I'm updating my previous review due to recent events. This restaurant recently posted everyone must leave 18%-20% tips regardless. We like to pick up our orders and now fee"obligated" following prompted electronic checkout procedure to give 20%. We always tip well and expect this when dinning in but not on pickup. McDonalds, Wendy's nor BK ask for this at the pick up window. I refuse to support this ridiculous practice.

With all the negative reviews I was skeptical but this place is OK. The 18% gratuity is for parties over 6. That's NORMAl. I can't say nothing bad about this place. Food was good. I ordered a beef burrito (normally I'd have steak burrito at any Mexican restaurant) So here is my negative review. The burrito was so horrible I ate it all. Wanted to lick the plate clean but I didn't want people to look at me funny. And when my glass of soda was empty the waiter refilled it for me the nerve of him I swear. Chips and salsa was fire I'm traveling thru. I'm from Chicago and for Mexican food I go to grocery store with a grill and have lunch there. This place for being out in the middle of nowhere Indiana pretty darn good if you ask me. Over all I'd visit again if I drive thru again

This is one of the worst Mexican wannabe restaurant I've ever been to.The food is only just a little bit worse than the service.I gave it 1 star only because there is no option for zero stars!
