Three steak tacos and three fish tacos could not have gotten a better meal anywhere in Kokomo
This is much bigger than it looks. It could easily feed two people.

Wow! Found this place on a whim yesterday when my husband and I were passing through Kokomo walking the Industrial Heritage Trail, which is a short walk away. I order the Tacos Al pastor to-go. Definitely the best I've ever had! The restaurant is tucked in the back of their grocery store and also has very nice seating. The staff is very friendly. I'll definitely be back!

El Borrego is actually a grocery store with a restaurant inside. We had a hard time finding it because Yelp directions take you a block out of your way. There is actually easy street parking in front of the building. El Borrego is a favorite of the locals in Kokomo. The tables and chairs are carved colorful tropical scenes. The dining room is not fancy, but functional. A generous portion of complementary chips and a fresh salsa come out quickly. Our server was friendly and attentive. They serve traditional Mexican favorites and I was in the mood for a couple tacos. You can buy a platter of 20 mixed tacos for $69 or order them individually. I selected the soft shell Tacos Supreme, one chicken and one shrimp. The tacos were very good with lots of cheese, meats and lettuce. I also picked up some tortillas in their grocery store. They carry an impressive variety of spices and dried peppers. I return and recommend.

The restaurant is attached to a store. Seat yourself style with typical bright colored decor. The menu was large and had lots of things I wish I could have tried. Found the flavors of the chorizo I had and the rice great. Their salsa is delicious and their sauces are great I would buy a bottle of all of it if they sold it. Friendly staff . Highly recommend

If you have not been here to eat, you are missing out. Incredible food, homemade fresh salsa. You could really taste the cilantro and onion. Our food came fast and the service was with a smile. Am making this place a weekly destination!

Best authentic Mexican food in town. I have no complaints. Fish and cow tongue tacos are amazing. The beans have lard in them so if you avoid pork like me, skip the refried beans.

People in front of me got over charged and I was kicked out for having my service dog with me I didn't even get any type of customer service. They could at least brought the menu to the grocery side where they said I could stay with my service dog and place was crowded with empty shelf's and over priced food.
