El Arriero Mexican Bar & Grill

Great service and good food! Our waitress took great care of our party and made sure we all enjoyed our meals. The chips and salsa are free. The queso was very good! The guacamole was made fresh but you do need to salt to your taste.

The Chili Verde (con Carnitas) was exceptional!!!! The waiter ensured I got a spicy version as that is what I was after. Probably the BEST Chili Verde I have ever eaten!!!!!!

The Smothered Quesadilla hit the spot! We've been craving Mexican food and tried El Arriero for the first time. We were not disappointed. The Burrito Cochino was also superb. Pricing was as expected, with the quality being darn good. No problem ordering by phone for a take-away order. I was told our meal would be ready in 10-15 minutes, it was ready in 10. That's during the dinner rush too! Used a mask when entering for pick up. The restaurant looked clean and comforting; think we'll dine in at some point.

Comparing my experiences with other Mexican food restaurants in various places, I would say that El Arriiero was pretty average...pretty typical fare.....rice, beans, various familiar entrees of tortillas with assorted typical fillings. My husband liked that there were a few healthier options available, like the diablo shrimp, not just calorie-heavy items. I was not wowed by the food. Although the menu offerings were typical of most Mexican restaurants, the execution by the kitchen was not that great. My mexican rice was pretty dry and the veggies in the rice were overcooked. I ordered a steak & mushroom quesadilla. Some of the pieces of steak were fine, others were overcooked to the point of dry and tough. The mushrooms were very salty, cooked dry, and pretty shrunken up. One piece of (meat?) in my quesadilla was overcooked into a hard, black cinder, which was inedible, so I had to pick it out and put it aside. Everything also tasted extremely salty, drowning out the taste of the actual ingredients and other seasonings, if there were any. Our service was adequate and our server was pleasant. It was a bit noisy in the restaurant, making conversation at our table difficult and necessitating us to speak in loud voices to be heard across the table.

This is our favorite Mexican restaurant in Kokomo. Friendly staff, speedy service, excellent food. Even during covid this spot did not disappoint!

Well, about a week ago my family decided to dine in during this pandemic since business have been able to reopen with limited capacity. So I was excited and scared to say the least. I see they've done some renovations and that's nice. Here comes the BUT, my grilled chicken tacos were horrible. That chicken was cut up so small and dry and burnt. It was crispy. Im aware we're dealing with meat shortages, but what little meat could of been prepared better! I sent it back only to get the same thing. No 3rd try for me. The manager NEVER came over. I will say my frozen margarita was delicious, but not enough for me to go back anytime soon. If you let your customers go out the door unsatisfied then shame on you!

Beef enchilada, taco, and rice for lunch at $5.50! Also, I got chips and salsa. Drink special was great, too.Ask for their frequent eaters card.

Great place to take the family. Yesterday, I completed my 36 month edging streak. Afterwards. I got some tacos and called it a day. Waitresses were so good. Felt like I was really with our friends south of the border.

Service slow. Salsa terrible. They just emptied a can of tomato sauce in a bowl. Tacos very average. Better than Taco Bell but not much. Decor OK not overdone for sure

Absolutely the worst service in the County. With very limited ethic cuisine choices in the area they have the audacity to act as though they do not want nor appreciate African American patrons.
