Eating Fresh

This is the best restaurant in Indy. I've been ordering from here for at least two years and it never misses. I shouldnt have taken so long to post a glowing review! Favorite dishes are the spicy beef noodle soup and the duck banh mi!

This was my first time here! (As a Vietnamese American!!)Looking at the reviews and bad reviews (from mainly yah know... a midwest state you'd expect a certain crowd) so i knew not to really trust those lol. BUT if you want a honest review from someone who lived in San Jose, is VIETNAMESE, and who has traveled to Chicago, Vietnam, Texas, etc here is the honest review!!Going in, i knew this restaurant was from Vietnamese background and authentic. The menu is very easy to read and is allocated to the population (midwest, people who are not exposed to other cultures) so those who are used to being in California/Texas you wont see "pho Dac biet" but has something similar to that!! Service is a bit slow but could be due to lack of business. Food wise, very very authentic flavors, didnt taste fake whatsoever compared to those small random pho places in Indy where you just taste MSG. I tasted the brisket, beef balls, and any cuts of meat in the Broth. I also got the Spring Rolls which was very refreshing and exactly what i was expecting. Overall, i would recommend giving this place a try!! If you want to step out of your comfort zone or try different culture's cuisine, this would be a great start!! Fresh ingredients, bold flavors, authentic, and vibes give you a bit of traditional Vietnamese pho restaurant!

We had a great time at Eating Fresh. Wonderful drinks (wine and sake) and good food (fried rice and pho). Service was prompt and friendly.My serving of shrimp fried rice was plentiful and tasty.The only weird thing is our table was in the back and was a tight fit for the walk to and from the restroom. It interrupted us often with people squeezing through.Overall, I recommend the food and drink and service! I would come back.

The most important thing I can tell you is that there is free parking behind the building. Also, everything is delicious... don't sleep on the pork and egg dish though my porkchop was also delicious. They were also very accommodating about my allergies which is great given that a lot of Vietnamese cuisine has nuts and shellfish.

Had a very disappointing experience here. We went for Dim Sum- unlike other Dim Sum places they do not have it cooked, they cook it to order. While that may sound like a good thing, the food took forever. We were there for 90 mins despite ordering promptly, and still had to take the desert to go. I ordered a second beer at the beginning of the meal; it never came despite asking twice for it. When we finally decided to cut bait, I asked the server to take it off the bill. Instead of an apology, I got snarky attitude from her. She also couldn't be bothered to refill our waters. And then there's the food- nasty. I usually love Bao. These stood out for tasteless filling, and being overcooked and chewy. Same for the shrimp dumplings. And the flat rice dumplings were a tasteless trainwreck. And to top it all off, it was on the pricey side. I will never eat here again.

This spot is very lovely, nice & clean and has a good vibe all around. Service was friendly. For appetizers we tried the garlic butter fried chicken wings, which were really tasty & had a perfect crust & crunch. For our entrees, we tried the spicy beef noodle, special pho & the lemon grass & chicken Banh Mi. The spicy beef noodle is absolutely delicious, it's good as is but i opted to turn up the heat a bit & added sriracha & chili oil. I did not care for the slices of pork in the dish. The special pho & banh mi were very tasty. For dessert, we had coffee flan & the honeycomb cake....we do NOT suggest either one. The texture of them both is very strange & they don't have much taste & the taste you do get it not very pleasant. I will go back & try more, I'm especially interested in the hot pot options, for those you have to let them know you are coming 4 hours in advance.

Had a wonderful dining experience before attending an event at the Vogue. I had looked at the menu before and was super excited for all the unique items. The thing I was most excited for was the Milk coffee. The lady explained the whole process of it and what makes it unique. It was a cool experience and the coffee was delicious. My friend and I each ordered a bao bun . It was one of the best bao buns I have ever had. I was really looking forward to trying the a couple of the unique desserts they had on the menu but we were told they were not available because they didn't have time to make them. But just shows how freshly made everything is. I was super impressed with the quality of the food and the service. Make this a must do before you head to a concert at the Vogue.

Overall the food was good but I was very surprised at the high food prices in comparison to the size of the soup. In terms of taste, the soup broth was 10/10. Unfortunately the seating is not very comfortable; all of the tables have a large box in the center and your knees run into it. All of the staff were friendly and food came out quickly.

Love what this restaurant is all about! I will say, it takes time, so don't rush the process.. sit back and enjoy. I appreciate the effort and all that goes into what they're doing. You can't find restaurants like this anymore. So glad we have one close and that's accessible. Thanks for all you guys do. Support restaurants like these!!!

The food was good but the service was horrible! We arrived for dinner before a show. When we were seated there was one other table seated and only three tables were seated while we were there. They were not busy. It took 20 minutes before anyone came to our table. We ordered starters and mains right away. Another 20 minutes goes by and the waitress brings out our mains! When I asked about the starters the waitress said "Oh, you want those now?" What? We finished our starters and again waited. We barely finished our meal before we needed to leave. The food was fine but the 90 minutes, most of it waiting for service was unacceptable.
