I love it when you can drink your vanilla latte w/oat and read a book?? Dream palace books and coffee will be your new obsession. They have used books there you can get for very cheap or for a reasonable price! They also host events there like book readings so check out their socials to see what is next on the calendar.

This place was the perfect place to work from. There are plenty of tables and plenty of outlets! I worked from there in a Saturday morning and it wasn't too busy, but also not completely empty which was great!I got the seasonal latte, which was some type of spiced latte, but only came hot and with oat milk. When I get oat milk lattes from other places (ahem, Starbucks), the oat flavor of the milk is so heavy and overwhelming that I can't taste the flavor of the latte. Not here!! I could barely taste the difference from dairy milk- it was steamed perfectly, had cute latte art, and tasted so good. I did have to ask what the seasonal latte was, but the barista was very helpful and knowledgeable. I also got the cardamom and pepper scone, which was SO GOOD! I can be pretty skeptical of scones since a lot of places in the US serve them crumbly and hard, or way too sweet. This was the PERFECT scone. It was slightly savory, soo soft, and perfectly baked. I will be back for this scone alone if not anything else. They also have breakfast sandwiches and breakfast burritos, which I was happy to see, but did not try this time. They have a small selections of books, but admittedly I was just there to work and didn't peruse that section this time. There was street parking right out front that was easy to snag a spot in, and pretty cheap for the amount of time I was there.

I loved popping in here and was so impressed by the coffee and food options! My espresso shot was pulled perfectly. The ambiance was perfect for a nice calm morning and there were others reading and remote working at some of the round tables in the space. The service was wonderful as well. I really loved this spot and definitely want to be a regular here. The only two reasons why it didn't get five stars from me was because of limited parking options (unless I missed a parking lot somehow) and book selection however I'm sure a lot of thought goes into the book selection here and if I had more time to browse, maybe I would think differently. Really looking forward to coming back here!

First, this place is so cute. Love the set up- tables, seating, bar top, etc. Second, the drink menu is pretty decent for the shop. I met up with the party after they'd arrived and ordered. So the barista never asked me if I wanted a drink (whoops- which I did...) but my friends loved their hot chocolates. Maybe I'll get to try something next time!Lots of great books to choose from. Love the location. I hope they get lots of business!

I drive past this place a couple times a day since it's close to home and I have been closely watching and waiting. They are opening. It's so great to see the space coming to life again, and all of the other neighboring businesses that are popping up in the building. Dream Palace is a combination of coffee shop and bookstore, and it appears they will be having guest speakers and events on the horizon. I was able to visit during the second day and was impressed by how smoothly everything went for it being so early in their business. They're definitely going to see a lot of traffic from the neighboring high school. I was also excited to see that they carry llama delicatessen salads for an affordable seven dollars. Those salads are so good! It was also fun to see that they are offering love handle breakfast burritos which I won't be able to resist during my next visit. I opted for the signature fig latte and it did not disappoint. It tasted like fall in a mug. They use Tinker coffee, beans, which Are some of my favorite.

This coffee shop is a neat spot to catch up with friends or on work - book nerd or not. There is adequate seating and plenty of plugins if you need them. There is street parking out front which made it easy to pop in.The drink options feel so unique. I got the seasonal Banana Nutella Latte and loved it! The standard drinks (espresso, latte, cappuccino) are there too if that is more your speed. The windows and ambiance make this corner shop feel like a perfect spot to dive into a good book or just sit and watch the buzz of the city. Give it a try!

A used bookstore and coffee shop - Dream Palace is my happy place. They have a fantastic selection of used books at great prices, espresso drinks and tea selection as to be expected, and baked goods from The Leviathan are delicious. The barista was super nice. Plenty of street parking nearby.

Have you ever wanted to see a business succeed so much that you could feel it in your bones? That's how I tend to feel about bookstores in general, though I felt that way almost immediately after entering Dream Palace and Books, a new bookstore located at 16th and Penn on the ground floor of the Penn Arts building. I have a special connection to Penn Arts as my father was involved in its original renovation. A longtime construction dude, my father was involved in a variety of key projects in downtown Indy including the original Walker Theatre renovation, IRT's renovation, the Turnverein apartments at 9th and Meridian and a host of others. Oh yeah, and Penn Arts. Dream Palace is both used bookstore and coffeeshop. I worried a bit as it opened considering its about a block away from Leah Johnson's Loudmouth Books, though the two bookstores have different visions and there's easily room for both. Dream Palace has a light industrial feel with a warmth in the interior and in its employees. It's level to the ground and roomy enough to be considered accessible with the obvious disclaimer being that this is an older building. Dream Palace serves up Llama Delicatessen salads, as Brittany S. noted, along with Tinker Coffee products, Leviathan Bakehouse items, and Color Theory Tea Co. items. This is a mixed neighborhood near Herron High School and close to both residential and business. I've always been intimidated by parking here and I do consider it the biggest detractor (especially as a wheelchair user). However, I'll also say it was easier than I expected. I think it would be more challenging during busier times. Every time I drive by here (which is a lot because it's on my way to post-surgery doctor's appointments), there are people inside and I remain optimistic for this delightful little indie gem. Dream Palace is still a work in progress, though they're off to a wonderful start with friendly employees, great products, a winning atmosphere, and books galore. If you haven't given it a visit yet, I definitely recommend a visit to one of Indy's latest independent bookstores and a delightful coffeeshop.

Such a cute place!! Been meaning to study here for a while, and I had a great session. There's a coffee and seating area in the front with some books on display, and a lot more books in the back! The decor here is super cute and aesthetically pleasing, and there's a lot of natural light that flows through the windows. Lots of outlets as well, and it's open a bit later than other coffee shops--till 7 pm! Fig latte was great, can't wait to try some other flavors in the future. They have some salads, sandwiches, sparkling drinks/kombuchas, and breakfast burritos as well!

I usually save five stars for the best of a category... so I'm making a new category for dream palace because it really is unique as a book/coffee shop (which is everyone's dream, right??) anyways, popped in here before first Friday and had a hot chocolate. The hot chocolate wasn't anything special (taste wise- it did have a cute design) but the employees were friendly and the books were fun. Maybe a fun date spot with liftoff ice cream for dessert? I lived in the neighborhood while this corner spot was closed... the entire two years... so I'm thrilled for something to be there and hope they succeed!
