This park is much larger than you see from the parking lot. It is 77.5 acres and has three distinct entrances/parking areas. Fortunately for me, there are kiosks/maps at each of the lots to show you the exhibits available at each part of the park. Note that there is a creek that runs through the park and the only place to cross by foot is on the south end.If you are bringing small kids, then the north west entrance off Edenshall Lane is the way to go. There you will find a pond, three football fields (can be used for all sorts of games and activities when no games are going on), a splash park, a playground, and a large shelter area. If you have an older kid, you might want to enter the south west entrance where there is an enclosed skate park, a picnic area, the bridge to cross over the creek, and be close to the disc golf holes. On the east end of the park, you can enter from the neighborhood and can play disk golf or attend an activity at the large pavilion. There is a lot of room and parking on the east end. I would suggest that the east end is more open space with few mature trees other than along the creek. The park seemed to be well maintained with little to know debris, even in the wooded areas.Review #743

Like a previous reviewer wrote, a lot of the playground equipment is metal or contains metal parts, so the playground might not be the best place to play on a super hot, sunny day. We visited when the sky was overcast, though, and it was perfect. The playground has some really unique features, like a balance beam that moves slightly to make it fun/challenging, a rope merry-go-round and a big swing that looks like a gong. There are two play structures: one for big kids (it's really tall) and one for little kids. There's also a huge, stand-alone metal slide that's kind of vintage-looking (in a good way -- not like it's going to fall apart or anything). There is also a big splash pad adjacent to the playground. We didn't visit it this time, but it looked like fun!

I've got to say this hasn't been our favorite park to go to. The splash pad is very basic and there aren't many activities for smaller kids in the play area. There is a tandem swing which is nice but it seems oddly placed and off to the side. It's a weird layout as well.

My kids love playing at the park. There is a playground, water facility, a river/stream. A lot of stuff to climbing. Fields to play soccer, frisbee or football. Good place to stop and spend some time.

I am newish to the Carmel/Noblesville area. While I have lived in Indy nearly 9 years, I typically stick to a 3 mile radius of whereever I am inhabiting. My husband, son and I moved to Carmel in April and I have really been exploring my new neighborhood and I have to say, I am starting to see the FULL appeal...For one thing, the MANY park options for playdates and family time, all free and very well located. Dillon Park is no exception. I went here yesterday for a Hip Mama's playdate. There is a very nice skate park for older, more active kiddos, they do live (free) music on the lawn on Thursday nights and during the day, they have a splash and water area for kids and adults with a beautiful well maintained playground area. In addition, there is a nice awning creating shade over several picnic tables. It was not nearly as crowded as some of the parks I have visited previously even on a Friday at lunch and the kids were having an absolute blast making new friends and squirting each other with the many water toys.Max is a bit too young to enjoy it by himself, but it was still nice for me to spend time with friends, watch the kids and get outside on such a beautiful Indianapolis day.Highly recommend!

An under rated discing destination. It's a little out of the way but worth a drive to check out.The first 9 holes are great. The course offers numerous challenges including 2 drives over a pond/lake(beware this lake is bacterium aplenty). But the back 9 is pointless. Its just wide open shot after wide open shot. And one usually cant play the back 9 because they have so many youth camps taking place out there. The park is pristine and has nice, clean bathrooms.....even working water fountains. I really wish Mayor Ballard could bring a park to the city like this.

I've been here a bunch since last summer, and this is a really nice park. There's a bunch of football fields to rent, so that is nice. Interestingly enough, they have a skate park here, which I thought was neat. The playground is also nice, but a bunch of the slides are made of metal. The walking trails are also quite nice as well. The main reason that I come here for is the disc golf course. Although I've only done two courses, that being this and the one at Cumberland Park at the time of writing, so I still haven't been to many courses. The front 9 are really nice, as 4 holes wrap around a lake, and 3 are in a wooded area. The back 9 are in a mostly open area, and there's a creek that runs alongside a couple holes. The landscaping in that part of the course could use some attention. However, it's still a nice park to visit. Also, the lake and creek can 'eat' your disc if you aren't aware.

This is a fabulous neighborhood venue which has splash pads and a playground for young children. Neighborhoods can hold their HOA meetings where there is some covering. You can a attend youth football game or play Frisbee golf. There are lots of neighbors enjoying this well maintained park.
