The service was impeccable by a very efficient woman at Down on Main!We had a petite grilled and a hand breaded tenderloin, one of the best I've had in Indiana. Came with tots, fresh and hot! A nice beer to top it off. Highly recommend this bar! Great ambiance, a dark bar but

Folks lets be real.. this place makes no allusions at being a swank club. This is as it appears, a local townie dive bar. Nothing fancy here. Beer and basic shots and drinks are the mainstay. If you are looking for a complex "foo foo" drink then you need to roll out to another type of bar.One highlight is the tenderloin sandwich. The small version grilled for a lunch entree was a slick fit to satisfy the mid day hunger with an Indiana namesake. Be aware this is a bar that still allows smoking. So if you are sensitive, select another venue; this place is strong in odor with stale smoke as you can expect with any hometown divey bar.

I have driven by this bar so many times with no opportunity to stop and check it out. If you are NOT smoker, wear old clothes that you plan to wash the next day.The menu is slim, the offerings hang on a better than adequate tenderloin. The drinks were delivered quickly to our table, appetizers were delivered just as quickly. There were four or five TVs and the place was alive with customers. After having read the other reviews, you have to ask yourself, "what were you expecting?" This is a locals bar. They still allow smoking...should be every business owners options...they pay the taxes. So, if you don't like smoke, don't go in...it's real simple. The food is not gourmet...they don't pretend to be anything but a local dive. They are good at being just that... We were outsiders but were treated like locals...hence the 3 stars. Could have acted like we were aliens. It was a nice place to get a quick drink and hit the road.

The breaded tenderloins and onion rings are the best I have had. Staff is friendly and prices are low. This has become my favorite place to eat.

This place should be on Bar Rescue. They very rarely have drink specials and a number of the servers act as if they're doing the patron a favor just by serving them. The tenderloins are delicious. Too bad the attitude here sucks.
