Dos Molinos Mexican Grill

Out of all the Mexican restaurants in Kokomo Dos Molinos has a special place in my heart. This place is a little hole in the wall, not any real big signs, and doesn't look glamorous outside. They recently redid the inside a little and added more seating which is a huge plus. The service here has always been great, never a bad experience and I've been probably 10+ times. Always incredibly friendly and quick. I am moving on to hands down the most important part of this review the food. I will say I've only ever had one item and this menu and it's the glorious Beef Fat Burrito. Now if you don't know Dos Molinos runs a special Friday - Sunday for a $5 Beef Fat Burrito. This thing is a STEAL for $5. It's been a top 5 discovery for mankind finding this thing. I hold it dearly to my heart. The feeling I get from this dish is how it must have felt when the Patriots found Tom Brady. A true sleeper. Highly recommend this place!

Food was absolutely delicious and they truly DO have the best horchata!! Great service.

The food is ALWAYS fresh, delicious, flavorful, and authentic. The service can be dicey sometimes, but that's just about everywhere now. It's a quiet, small place, but the food and atmosphere will bring ya back. Highly recommend.

Went here tonight for dinner and everything was super tasty. My boyfriend's parents live about 10-15 minutes away and know the owner.I originally was going to get the taco combo plate, which comes with three tacos, Mexican rice, and beans, but the meat choices were chicken or beef, so instead I did three a la carte tacos with chicken, carnitas, and steak. The steak one was my favorite of the three. They were topped with raw onions and cilantro, and served with some grilled onions that were on the side. The tortillas themselves were traditional corn tortillas.My boyfriend got a burrito with steak and chicken, which was topped with shrimp and served with queso, and he said it was very good too. We also all split a pitcher of frozen margaritas which were good, and you can choose flavors too although we just did traditional lime.We did have to ask for glasses of water a few times, which is not a big deal. Overall the food and drinks here were tasty, though.

A smaller, kind of hole in the strip mall kind of place. The server was VERY attentive (and busy). This is the first Mexican restaurant that I have found in Indiana that actually reminds me of what I found living in Corpus Christi.They make a point to as as you are seated if you want hot or mild salsa - but even the "hot" isn't really something I would think of as hot. The menu isn't as big as some of the other places nearby, but seeing Jalisco Tacos, and a few other not fully Americanized items (OK. I didn't see Lengua or Menudo, but this is Kokomo)For Kokomo, this will be my go to spot for Mexican

I was surprised that this restaurant has lunch specials over the weekend. The best was the complimentary crunchy chips and salsa! So, I am giving this place 4 stars.I have been wanting speedy gonzales. The beef in the taco needed seasoning so I poured on some salsa. The rice was kind of plain - yes, no peas! The chicken enchiladas was average, too.

Too salty to the point that you will be thirsty the rest of the day. Decent stash though. Yet too dark dine area

I'm sorry but I just had the worst Mexican food ever. Looked like last nights refuse. I'm not exaggerating. Half inch of liquid like substance in the bottom of the taco salad. Don't waste your money. Was home delivery.

We frequently eat At Dos Molinos because the food is always well prepared. The have a few items on the menu that we have not found at other Mexican restaurants. The staff always makes us feel welcome and special. Dollar tacos on Tuesdays and Thursdays! They have recently reopened the section that was closed during the pandemic.

Good food, good prices, great staff! What more could you want? They even have dollar tacos on Tuesdays AND Thursdays. Not a "full blown" taco, but great for the price. Lots of options on their menu, too.
