This was a last-minute stop-in. Hubby decided that this was where we were going tonight. Interestingly, Google took us to the wrong side of the shopping mall, so make sure you know it is on the Nordstrom's side! We walked in, not full, but not dead that night. It was before 6 pm and just before the rush. The first look of the restaurant was very welcoming, and I liked how the bar was set up. We were asked if we had reservations, we noted we did not but would like a high-top if one was available. We were seated at a high-top.We were seated quickly, and we took fast drink orders! My hubby always orders vodka on the rocks with a splash of dirt. Mind you, not a martini! So he is always looking to see if they make it right and does explicitly not state martini ever. He noticed that the bartender was making it in a martini glass and was waiting for it to come over, so he resigned to drink it as made. But our waitress was terrific, noticed the error, and had them fix it before it made it to the table! WONDERFUL SERVICE! The bartender knows how to make a wonderful old-fashioned as well!Dinner was the knife and fork cobb salad with some fantastic Gold Coast vinaigrette! Wowzer, I loved the salad as it was chopped with egg, avocado, bacon, and then the fried chicken to the side! It was delightful. Hubby had the number six sandwich with a habanero sauce on the chicken. It was perfect, and I snuck a bite! The coleslaw with his sandwich was extremely good.Service was wonderful, the atmosphere was great, the food was amazing, and the drinks were on point! Definitely coming back.

Arrived at 12:50 our 1 PM reservation - we were seated at 1:05 PM with a third of the restaurant empty. Ordered apps ($22 nachos) that arrived 26 minutes later. They had maybe 6-8 pieces of "short rib" on the nachos. I would not recommend. We placed our entree orders at the same time as the appetizers. 52 minutes after ordering, food arrived. Our table had two burgers and two Wok bowls. The burgers were fine, the Wok bowls came out with zero, and I mean zero teriyaki or sweet chili sauce. Zero. We attempted flagging down our waiter for a couple minutes but it was unsuccessful. A manager came by and asked us how our experience was going. We laid out the situation and she quickly replaced the bowls with what was ordered. The staff is super friendly here but I'm afraid the kitchen can't hang. They dropped the nachos off the bill for the inconvenience which we thought was a nice touch. This is the second poor experience we have had here, not sure we will return.

I visited on 1/25 and 2/2. Both times I had the Wok Bowl. It was so delicious the 1st time I got exactly the same thing the 2nd time. The salmon was cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is Asian fusion. It's comfortable, spacious and you have have a group luncheon or a private lunch for 2. Wait staff were very friendly, attentive and professional. They are doing something right!

If I'd been paying adequate attention, I could likely tell you the background story behind Doc B's Restaurant & Bar as the very basics were explained to me when I revealed to my server, Jack, that this was my first visit to the Indy location inside the Fashion Mall at Keystone. I'd long wanted to check out Doc B's, however, a couple things got in my way:1) I'm naturally cheap and Doc B's does tend to be a bit of a splurge; and, 2) I have the fashion sense of Pigpen and it seems like just about every time I've considered visiting Doc B's, I've looked at myself in the mirror and thought to myself "Nuh uh. No way." Today, however, I decided a bit of a splurge for the holiday was in order and, well, I also decided that my L.L. Bean coat did a sufficient job of covering up my homeless chic (No, I'm not insulting our unhoused hoosiers). I entered via the mall entrance, a tad confusing but you basically go down the narrow hallway and through the bar to the streetside hosting station. Yes, that means it's actually a tad easier to just enter from the actual parking lot and Doc B's does have an external entrance and also an enclosed, heated patio that was not in use when I arrived. I will note that both sides are accessible and the external entrance has appropriate curb cuts and a couple parking spots. While I found the bar a bit tight in terms of access, I generally had no trouble getting where I needed to go as a wheelchair user. The hostess moved the chair and I was seated at a 4-top near the front. I will note that there are definitely inaccessible seating areas that either have a step up or are high-top. However, I also saw pretty decent spaces for those with mobility challenges. The interior is warm and welcoming. The music is rather generic pop (I will admit it was a bit nice to get a reprieve from the current season's holiday muzak). As I noted, my server was Jack (My dad's name, though this Jack was much friendlier). He gave a brief explanation of the restaurant's history including that it was started by Craig Bernstein in 2013 and named after his father. The menu is kind of all over the place and there seems to be some variation from location to location. I ended up going with one of their better known items - buttermilk fried chicken along with a side. The side is naturally coleslaw, however, it apparently can be changed. I decided to have that as my side as I figured the fried chicken would be a decent quantity (I was right) and wasn't looking to stuff myself. The two dishes were a perfect combo. It took a few minutes and my food arrived. Truthfully, I despise when it comes out too quickly as that usually indicates it was sitting there waiting. This was served hot and was honestly quite wonderful. I also really loved the coleslaw - a healthy amount that looked tasty and was tasty. Jack checked on me a couple times and served up an iced tea refill without my asking (and in a fresh glass - a plus). You can pay either through the usual method (with the server) or there's a QR code you can use. I will admit I found the QR code a bit confusing initially, however, it worked out fine. They do have a rewards program (the only thing that actually wasn't explained to me). This was definitely a more expensive meal than I usually go, however, the service was spot-on, the food was delicious, the atmosphere was relaxing, and it was an overall good decision for me to treat myself to a top-notch experience. The servers were all dressed quite nicely, though I did see others in jeans and overall felt pretty comfortable and wishing I'd checked out the place much sooner. I'll for sure be back.

We've been here twice now. The first time with kids. It looks, feels and tastes like a restaurant a step below Ruth's Chris' but a step above The Olive Garden. If you are at the mall and are like 'I must have a sit down dinner that is not the food court'.... then ok, Doc B's will do. If you want food that is better and is close by then try Late Harvest or Ocean Prime. Still not my favorite restaurants in Indy but I think better than Doc B's for the price.Hubs was not impressed by the cocktails at all. He and I are both very particular about cocktails however. If you just need a stiff drink in a nice atmosphere.... sure this is the place for you.

Doc B's is a solid choice and one of the better options at Keystone. I usually sit at the bar, where the experience is always excellent. However, this time, I dined with my family at a table, and the service felt a bit slower compared to the attentiveness at the bar. The food is consistently good--my favorite dish is the chicken kabobs with feta cucumber salad. The restrooms are clean, and the ambiance is casual. Overall, it's a better and more affordable option than the local steakhouses, especially if you're not dressed for Ocean Prime.

We stumbled across this restaurant during a trip to Keystone Mall, and the decision to eat there was better than any of my shopping choices! We were blown away by the quality of food and excellent service. I was feeling basic so went with their grilled chicken salad. It was executed well, with moist perfectly-flavored chicken breast. The black bean sauce that accompanied the salad took it over the top, and the cilantro dressing tasted fresh and homemade.Of course I sneaked a bite of my husband's fish sandwich - wowsa! Flaky, moist, and with a crunchy exterior crust. The service was at the level of a fine steakhouse - ready for a refill and the floor manager checking our experience. Prices were comparable for the area. Highly recommend!

We came here for a reunion lunch and unfortunately I think they were short staffed. When we arrived the place was fairly empty considering it was a Saturday afternoon, yet we still had to wait 15 minutes to be seated. We were told we had to sit in the closed in patio space because the inside had reservations already, ironically the restaurant never filled so maybe they all canceled......The menu decent, it's American style food and I think burgers are more of their thing. We ordered some kale and artichoke dip for the table and while the dip was just ok the chips were fantastic! They were light, crisp and airy and melted in your mouth! Our waitress was pretty good as well, I think she was a little overwhelmed with tables though. It took quite a bit of time for our order to actually come to our table but we did notice it took everyone awhile to get their food. Everyone at my table ordered burgers accept me, I had what I thought was a crispy Cajun chicken, but I think it turned into a decorated dry crispy chicken sandwich on a pretzel bun. Thank goodness I ordered a side of mayo when I placed my order. For my side I got the jalapeño crispy potatoes and they are not what you think they are. They are cut up and mashed down, but they come in a thick crispy pancake style. I wasn't the biggest fan but the sauce on top was fantastic! If there had been more instead of just the little bit on top, I probably would've ate all the potatoes. The crispy chicken was crispy but I didn't care for the consistency of the chicken. It reminded me of a chicken breast that had been pounded thin to mash so you felt like you were eating a crispy chicken nugget sandwich.A side you might want to stay away from are the sweet potato fries, unless you like your sweet potato fries in the steak cut style. They were too thick and you definitely missed the crispiness of a fry. They came out really cute in this criss cross design but my friend and I felt they needed less time on the cute design and more time on frying them so they're crispy and not just thick. I'm not sure I'll ever come back again but if I was at the mall and wanted to place an order to go, I would order from

Great service & the ambiance is very relaxing . We did not have a reservation and were seated instantly. We came in during happy hour and ordered a lemon drop and it was so good ! It was crafted perfectly. We got the street tacos and I will say they are good but SPICY haha ! The elote corn pairs perfectly but you can substitute your side for anything else . All food is made to order but still comes out in a timely manner !

Loved the food and atmosphere, as well as the service. I had the ribs with fries. They were excellent! The artwork is interesting and the flowers are beautiful. Parking is a nightmare at Keystone at the Crossing though. It took me quite a while to find even 1 space available - someone coming out of a space. I didn't mark Doc Bs down for the parking, but just be aware.
