Great food with a long time tradition in the town of Rochester, IN. Unique tacos and great salsa/hot sauce that you can also buy by the quart.

My all-time favorite burger is at Dick's. Double Cheeseburger prepared by the hardworking crew of this legendary drive-in. There's nothing on the menu that you won't enjoy. And, you'll like the slightly quirky choices offered. I love everything about this place and it feels like I've been a steady fan for my entire life, which may be true. As a teenager, I remember cruising this place in my '66 Mustang and I'm 75 now. Just go, you'll be glad you did.

As a kid I would go to Dick's Drive In on a regular basis. I was in Rochester recently and stoipped by for a couple tacos. The recips is still the same and the service was very quick. This place brings back so many childhood memories.

This is the drive in from days gone by. It's older than the hills and not much to look at except for it's historical stature and the disbelief that the place is still standing. At one point in the past, Dick's almost closed their doors for good; but the public outcry from die hard patrons near and far was deafening. As recently as the penning of this review, Dick's is alive and well and still serving the tacos people just can't get enough of. I'm going to be honest, you will either love them or hate them. They are real corn tortillas filled with a saucy meat mixture topped with a little cheese and lettuce. Your choice of mild or spicy. When you eat them, if you don't catch it, the sauce drips down your hand to your wrist and to your arm. It's inevitable. They are small. I suggest you try one, and if you love it, you can probably eat two for every one taco you eat at the usual chains. Check for hours and season before you go because just this year they reduced their open hours, and they are only open from Memorial Day to the end of summer.

Was so excited to see Dick's was open again, but was very quickly disappointed. we pulled in and waited for the car-hop, she left one car and then went and was visiting with a couple. So we tried to call in an order, we let the phone ring approx 12 times, no answer, so we tried again, still no answer, we got the number off the inside menu. Another point if you are open turn your sign so it reads open.

Great service! Food came fast it's a road side dive that has excellent food! Regular drive-in choices with the addition of Tex-mex was an added bonus. Prices were reasonable. It's a drive-in so don't get too excited but food is good and it was clean.

You can't go wrong with the spicy original tacos. They are the most unique tacos I have ever had with the meat in the sauce and the corn flour slightly crispy tortillas.

This is a summertime hit. An old school drive in serving some of the tastiest tacos, tostadas, nachos, and root beer around. It's nothing to look at, but the food will bring back memories of childhood. Typically open May-Sept. Don't pass it up!

Once again another summer ends and Dick's Drive-In closes. This summer was a great one, & although they did have an abbreviated season , all the food was good . Things were a little different because they changed hands , but Laurie Dawald was on hand at least in the beginning and throughout the season the food remained as true to Dick Dawald's secret recipes , as I've ever seen or tasted... and I tasted it all. KUDOS ... A very great job by the Werkings and success in the future I'm sure will follow...!!~Brad Baker
