We had gone to Diavola for a night out, somewhere where we could have a nice multi course meal. Diavola is situated in SoBro, just off the Monon trail. There's off street parking in from the of the restaurant. Spaces can be tight on the weekends and certain evenings. We served by Christopher, a pleasant man who served us well and put a candle in our dessert as a way to celebrate our 6-month anniversary. Service was 5/5.The sauce is really good, and we started off with the Eggplant coquettes followed by pizza and calzone. Partly came here because we saw that they offer vegan cheese as a substitute ($3 up charge). My wife is vegan and made her own pizza. I opted for the calzone. Mine was pretty good. Just really big, so there was plenty to take home.I would say food was 8/10. The tartufo dessert was very decadent. Ambiance was nice. There are some vintage posters on the wall, and ambient lighting covering the place. I would advise to make a reservation if you plan to come here on the weekends. The place was packed. Overall, I'd give Diavola 8.5/10. The food was really good but can be pricey if you make substitutions. There is a legit Neapolitan pizza oven in the place. The vegan cheese used melts really well, and the pizza visually and taste wise was appealing. Please come back again. Support local.

We sat at the bar and the bartender was super friendly. Inside was cozy and perfect for our winter visit. We started with the brussels sprouts, which had bacon, parm, and truffle oil. They were quite a treat. They came out piping hot, which was also a great sign for the rest of our meal. We also got the genovese pizza which had a base of pesto and was topped with chicken, sun dried tomatoes and caramelized onion. It was delicious. I even heard a "best pizza I've had in Indy" spoken. It was also fresh from their brick oven, the crust was crispy yet soft on the inside and the toppings were delicious. It was a win.The only thing I didn't like about the restaurant was that the cocktail menu didn't have prices. That never really makes sense to me and I'm not as laid back as I'd like to be about that kind of thing lol. In the end, I got the Italian Gentlemen cocktail (Bourbon, Campari, Orange Bitters, Lemon Juice and Agave) and it ended up being $14. It was spirit forward and a very good drink so I was happy. We also got a tequila soda with lime which ended up being $9. There is a shared free parking lot and it was easy to find a spot.

The Pera salad was so amazing. I will have to try and recreate it at home. The pears with arugula paired very well. We also got a pizza to share and it did not disappoint. Try the spicy Pomodoro sauce!Service was great and it was no issue to walk in on a Monday night. We will be back!

Diavola makes some of the best wood fire pizza! I love trying all of their different specials and we never go wrong with the classic pepperoni. I think it's a little pricey because they attempt to provide a more upscale atmosphere but the cleanliness and service don't stack up. We recently took some family and had some issues. They didn't take my sisters food allergies or religious preferences very seriously. She doesn't eat tomatoes, tree nuts, or pork and we had some issues when our order first came out. They also have the middle tables too close together and the people behind us kept elbowing us and scooting their chair into our backs. Not the best experience this time.

Such a lovely spot for date night or to grab dinner with friends. My husband and I decided to share a pizza and salad. Everything was absolutely delicious! They have so many options, and it's fun to order plates to share. The restaurant has an upscale vibe, and a great atmosphere. During the warmer months they have tables outside as well. It's easy to make reservations and I would suggest doing so on busy days. Definitely can't wait to come back!

Mark my words: Diavola has the best pizza in Indy!!If you're looking for amazing pizza, you need to try it out. It's a smaller restaurant so they tend to be very busy, but we love ordering takeout and eating our pizza at home. The wait staff is super friendly and attentive. The inside is classic dark Italian vibes. Best pizza around!

Pizza was absolutely delicious, everyone in our party enjoyed their pizza. Large enough to split between 2 people or order one for yourself and likely have leftovers. Truffle Funghi pizza was flavorful and a perfect combo of ingredients. Atmosphere was a tad loud but to be expected the day before Valentine's Day Service was great!

When you're craving a wood fired pizza, Diavola should be at the top of the list! Although they offer delivery and carry out, this pizza is best enjoyed in their small but energetic dining room with views of their bold red Italian wood fire oven. Let's get to the most important part - the pizza! This is neopalitan style crust baked in a wood fired oven with a variety of toppings and sauces from traditional italian to unique American. I'm a crust person and this one does not disappoint. It's what I expect from an Italian wood fired pizza, slightly charred and blistered on the outside that only comes from that hot guy heat wood fired oven, while maintaining that light chewy texture. I ordered the chicken BBQ, the less traditional choice, but all of the toppings were perfectly cooked and distributed. The bbq sauce was Smokey and sweet. My husband ordered the Pera Pesto which was also delicious, and much more rich with the pesto and white sauce flavors. The cocktail list is thoughtful with Italian twists on classics. I am not a wine aficionado, but I was pleasantly surprised to see the list of reds include several Italian varieties that were reasonably priced (low end $38) if you're looking to make it a special night. We also had to do dessert because unfortunately Indianapolis seems to be lacking in Italian bakeries. The cheesecake was true New York Style and the berries were perfect. The tiramisu was light and fluffy. I personally prefer more espresso flavor but my husband insisted it was perfect - so tiramisu lovers, just give it a try!

This restaurant experience was one of a kind and I'm so glad I got to try it. It's a beautiful space inside with lots of different seating options but the front dining area where we were was a bit compact. I ordered the chicken penne and it was very good, especially the chicken. We also got a few desserts to share and they were worth every penny! I would absolutely recommend that creme brulee. Plus our server was able to split the desserts across everyone at the table which was super nice. This is a go-to place for a special dinner with friends or it would be perfect for a date or even business meeting.

Went on a Thursday evening and it was very busy. We did not have a reservation and waited about 30 minutes so I do recommend making a reservation. There is not much room to sit in there if you're waiting for a table. It is a pretty cool vibe and I do like that you can see the pizza oven and watch them making the pizzas! It has a classy vibe without being too expensive. One pizza would be enough to share for two people but we wanted to try multiple things so we went with the Pancetta di Maiale e Ricotta and the Maialina. Both were excellent. I especially love the dough. Only issue was that we ordered two pizzas at once, however they arrived at the table at very different times. We were halfway through the first one before the second one arrived.
