Derailed At Hotel Nickel Plate

We as a group had a great time. Zoey was a great server. She had great recommendations on food and drinks. The Nickel Plate hotel bar is nice. So is the hotel. I wish they had a couple TV's in the bar. I know they're not going for a sports bar but a few more TV's would be nice and not hurt their intended vibe. The drinks, service, and food were great. Look forward to taking more people there.

The service is fantastic. Steven is a very good manager. He always makes us feel like we truly matter as customers...like he appreciates us. The food is good. I tried something new this last time - Italian beef sandwich. The peppers were too salty, but that was an easy fix. We sat in a spot in the restaurant where we could see the fireplace which was nice.

We had a fabulous time at our recent stay at Hotel Nickel Plate. After a long day at the Carmel Christkindlmarkt we decided to unwind with some nice cocktails at the hotel bar. My friend loves to drink Aperol Spritz but was also very intrigued by the cranberry spritz listed on the bar menu. Our bartender Duke asked her if he should try to create a mix of both and on the spot he concocted an entirely new cocktail! I hope he remembers the recipe because it was absolutely DELICIOUS! I ordered one as well! True talent right there! We were also helped by Micaela who was an absolute sweetheart and made wonderful Bailey's shots for us. The Old Fashioned was scrumptious as well! We had such a wonderful time and laughed so much. Thanks for being such amazingl hosts! It was an absolutely wonderful experience!

I have driven by this place several times and wanted to try it. Finally took my friend here for breakfast on a Saturday morning. We were able to get seated right away (which can sometimes be rare in Fishers on a Saturday morning). They don't have a huge breakfast menu but there is something for everyone. I ordered the BYO (build your own) omelette which included spinach, turkey sausage, tomatoes and cheese. It comes with potatoes and fruit for $15. Not badly priced and it was really good! It is a hotel restaurant so you can see people coming in to check in or people checking out but it isn't distracting because it is pretty well sectioned off. The decor is really modern and warm. I plan to come back for cocktails because the bar area looks amazing! They also have outdoor seating which is perfect for people watching if you are into that!

Decent, but not the five star experience the overall reviews seem to indicate. Went out of my way to try it for lunch. Located in the hotel lobby, it took a while for someone to seat me. Other staff members kept walking by the podium without acknowledging me and I couldn't tell who worked the restaurant and who the hotel. I stopped someone and asked if there was a host/hostess seating people and he when to find someone. The server provided good service. I had a cup of chili and the Reuben sandwich. The accidentally brought me a bowl instead of a cup of chili, but you can't really complain about that. Flavor was fine and it had tomato chunks which I do not care for. Reuben was fine, but nothing special.

I love it here. I usually come on Saturdays but today we had a group after Sunday service. Plenty of room to park. Whether you sit out by the fire and people/car-which is my fav thing to do or eat inside, you'll get quality and hospitable service. The food is good if not excellent as well!

Nice place to get a drink. The bar area has a great vibe and opens up to the outdoors which has a nice streetside patio with a fire pit - very nice on comfortable evenings. They have a nice list of craft cocktails as well as some local beers. The only complaint is the lighting level. The dining room and the bar area are simply too bright at night, and it's really far too bright for a nice dinner. They could make a dramatic improvement by putting dimmer switches on all lighting and taking it down 50% to create a much more sophisticated and comfortable space in the evening.

Deena my bartender tonight was the best. So professional and attentive. I'm so impressed with how the bar has improved since the opening. Alexander also was behind the bar and was awesome

great atmospher, great drink specials and a great place to hangout. need a few more TVs out in front of the bar.

Amazing experience! Great service (they consistenly check on you and make sure you dont need anything, awesome atmosphere! The drinks were amazing! Food was nice and hot, tasted delicious!
