I love their mango and cucumber lime drinks, they look at me crazy when I ask to mix them but they're sooo good! Not a lot of food options, more of snacks on the menu.

What a beautiful little gem! Been here a few times, it's been a minute tho! Great staff! Service is PHENOMENAL, everything from the ice cream, the yogurts, and any sort of Mexican sweets they sell here is GREAT! My kiddo wanted ice cream so we came to have a scoop of ice cream! Much love n glad this spot is doing well!

I'd been craving a Mangonada for a few days and boy did this place hit the spot! My beverage was sweet, salty, spicy and full of mangoes! What else can you ask for? My friend got a yogurt and it was chock full of fresh fruit, too. I will definitely be coming back again!

Stopped in for dessert after having dinner nearby. I had seen pictures of the mangonada from my fellow Yelpers, and knew I had to try one. It was so unique and good! I ordered a medium, but would have been satisfied with a small size. My husband got a frozen chocolate-dipped banana covered in coconut. The staff was very friendly and did speak English, despite what some other reviews said. We both enjoyed our treats and will definitely be back!

Delicias Jalisco is a local ice cream shop right off of 38th Street. I decided on visiting here after seeing a picture of their mangollada on a friend's Snapchat story. This mango sorbet is topped with fresh mango, tajin and chamoy sauce. Just writing about it makes my mouth water all over again. On of my friends accompanied me on this visit. Walking into the shop, we viewed the menu largely printed on the wall with ease. It was safe to assume that many of the items were freshly made just by looking through the items--that, and the large piles of fruit that were behind the counter confirmed my suspicions. I really appreciated the pictures next to the text because I like to see what I'm getting into before ordering. My friend noted that the menu was easy to read because each Hispanic food had an English translation right next to it.I got the mangollada without hesitation because I am a sucker for the mango and tajin combo, and my friend ordered an oreo paleta. Paletas are a Mexican frozen treat that are very similar to popsicles, but they are made with whole ingredients, such as fresh fruit or desserts. We decided to sit inside to eat our frozen treats because we didn't want them to melt on our drive. Plus, we were just really excited to try what we ordered.I found the mangollada to be just as good as I anticipated--sweet with the perfect level of spicy. The mango sorbet was a little sweeter than I expected it to be, but each bite incorporated some spice due to the generously added tajin and chamoy sauce. The balance between flavors was perfect. I really enjoyed the tamarind covered straw at the end because it tasted just like Pulparindo candy. It was like the cherry on top for my tastebuds. I found the $5 price to be reasonable for this unique drink, so I was happy with my purchase.Delicias Jalisco also serves tortas, hotdogs, fresh fruit juice, fruit smoothies and milkshakes. My friend and I just wanted a quick fix of dessert during our visit, but I would happily stop in again to try their food.

Updating this review! My latest visit was even tastier than the last and the staff was extremely friendly. If it's your first visit, might I suggest ordering the mangonada with mango sorbet, chunks of mango, chamoy spread throughout and a tamarind straw. There's so much flavor to this dessert (I'm a sucker for the sweet/spicy/salty flavor combination). Enjoy!

I have been wanting to try a mangonada ever since I started yelping a couple years ago and finally on a trip to the big city I was able to find a spot to get one! This place has a nice sized parking lot that is shared with several other businesses in the strip mall where it is located. As you walk in you just get a sense of all the wonderful things that are offered here. There are colorful photos all over the walls and you can see a large case with several different types of ice creams etc. They do have a few booths and tables where you can sit and enjoy your treat if you so choose however I was on a time crunch so I opted to take mine to go. The ordering was fairly simple, I just chose what I wanted and the size and within a minute or two I had my treat in my hands. The fruit was delicious and the mango sorbet was sweet with just the right amount of sour and add to that the tajin and chamoy added the spice it needed to tie it all together. I cannot wait to return and do it all over again!

My strawberry/banana fruit smoothie (licuado de frutas) was just ok...portion size made it a good value at $3.75, but nothing to make me rave about. My son got a papaya smoothie & wasn't impressed so he got a fresas con crema (strawberries & cream) & liked it far better.Lots of adventurous ice cream flavors in addition to the traditional ones. Use Google translator to help you figure out all the flavor options since some are only marked in Spanish.

Type in "desserts" on the Yelp app while on 38th street, and you'll find that the options outside of Dairy Queen are slim. With all of the awesome international options on the west side, where does one turn for an international sweet tooth fixing?I now have the answer: Delicias Jalisco.Walk into this unassuming shop in a generic strip mall, and you will be surprised at the variety of the ice cream flavors inside. All of them are written in Spanish, so make sure you have a translator handy for those of you whose mother made you take Latin in high school. You'll find your standard strawberry ice cream but also more exotic flavors like tequila. Continue your walk down the counter, and you'll see traditional paletas (not popsicles from Nicey Treat) stacked one on top of the other. All of these sugary sights were delightful to see, no doubt, but I was most enticed by the acclaimed mangollada, a popular dessert drink made with chamoy sauce, mango chunks, mango sorbet, lime juice, and chili powder with a tamarind straw. The mangollada was weird and wonderful. When you sip on the drink, you're hit with sweet, sour, and spice all at the same time. My frazzled taste buds kind of gave up on me about halfway through in trying to decipher all of strong flavors, yet I still found it very refreshing. If you're not an adventuresome drinker, then this cup of crazy-good isn't for you.I know I'm coming back to Delicias Jalisco on my next trip down W. 38th St. for sure, as I need to try the tequila ice cream and a paleta or two. Join me, Yelpers!
