Our friends who are locals took us out of towners here for dinner one night. Jade was a great server very attentive. The best part of dinner was the artichoke and spinach dip appetizer. Enough for 4 to share and we could have made a meal out of it. But we didn't. Everyone had some kind of pasta dish. My fettuccine was terrific and the ravioli looked like I should have ordered it instead! Even the coffee at desert time was delicious as was the cheesecake. Roll me out of here. I'm done.

So I went to DeAngelo's, after reading a few posts about good experiences. It's been several years since I've been there. I stopped going to D'Angelo's because of three back-to-back bad experiences about six years ago. There were three people total in the entire restaurant. Another couple and myself. I asked for bread, but was told they were out. The calamari was tasty. My salad was just OK, as it lacked flavor. I waited for 10 minutes, hoping that the waiter would come back and refill my water and bring me my check, but alas, I had to flag him down. I understand when there's not that many people in the restaurant it's good to catch up with coworkers but also extremely important to make sure that the guests that are in the restaurant don't need a refill or anything for that matter. It's rather dark in D'Angelo's which I guess some would call ambience, but I found it a little bit depressing in the middle of the day. I'm glad other folks have had good experiences but after today, I don't think I will be dining there again. It's a great place if you you want to you want to go sit with some friends for a quiet conversation without being rushed out.

i've come here twice now, with such mixed results that i don't feel inclined to come back because i wouldn't risk another bad experience. we had a reservation for a party of 10 for a retirement party. there was one server who was doing his best, he was obviously new and just trying to get everything done. there was also one cook. for a saturday this was an odd staffing choice (i worked in a pizza/italian place for 6 years). it was apparent he had not been trained well, which again is not his fault. the first time i came i got the mushroom ravioli which was decent but was overpriced for the portion. today i got the margherita pizza and it was so disappointing. it was the first time i got cheese pizza with raw tomatoes on top and called margherita pizza. almost no one finished their dish and no one wanted to take their food home. i saw the owner say on other reviews they are currently understaffed (which in a college town is surprising) but i wouldn't go back until they were fully staffed again.

Everything was fine. I will say food items are expensive! For the food to be this expensive I expected it to taste dang near amazing. I didn't feel that way but maybe others will. Chicken Parmesan was $18 (sheesh). There was only one waitress which I could tell had allot on her plate but she tried her best to be kind despite seeming overwhelmed. Inside there were quite a few seats and tables as well as for groups. Seemed clean. Thank you for your service!

Do not let the strip mall fool you, this place is a gem! I've been here for lunch through the week, dinner and weekends-always great! The Alfredo is superb! The interior looks and feels like an Italian restaurant, like you've stepped away from the hustle and bustle of the busy day into an oasis. The food is always outstanding, with plenty of delish options. Mushroom ravioli, lasagna, Alfredo-all excellent choices. The have great bread/oil/garlic that comes with and it's one of my fav things. The kids menu is extensive and makes it easy to take kids to a nice place.

One of Bloomington's most underrated restaurants!Every time is delicious and amazing quality. We had a really nice server on Christmas Eve Eve and they were starting to close but didn't rush us by any means and gave my family a nice experience and time to catch up and eat together as a family for the holidays.

First time here and we were early for dinner. Our waiter took great care of us. The roasted garlic in olive oil dip for their crusty bread was a delicious start. Wife enjoyed her Tuscan Salad, and my house salad was fresh and featured red leaf lettuce, and homemade Italian dressing. Tomato Basil soup was on the spicy side, and my Chicken Parmigiana (photo) was perfect. Tender, crusty, cheesy, lots of sauce , spaghetti on side. Classy and affordable. Recommend highly.
