A unique and slightly upscale from the traditional Mexican restaurant. If you are expecting the traditional Mexican-American style place, you may be dissatisfied pointed. They have fewer but better curated meals. They are more pleasing to look at and the food was good. I must say, the queso Condit was awesome. I could have stopped there. My shrimp enchiladas was ok (shrimp was a bit over cooked) but otherwise good. My wife liked her combo as well. Drinks are good. We had the skinny margarita special and the presentation was very nice. Service was solid.

Grabbed lunch here with one of my girlfriends and ended up chatting away for 3-4 hours. Their servers were super attentive of all our needs and even offered us a free dessert. The food was absolutely delicious and although I didn't drink, my friend said their drinks were good too. The interior of the restaurant is so cute and updated as well.

Estrella de Oro is definitely one of my favorite new restaurants in Carmel.Estrella de Oro stands for "gold star" in Spanish, which is true to every aspect of the restaurant.The inside has a fresh new look. Their staff is very welcoming and professional. The food is second to none! It's obvious in each bite that they're using fresh ingredients in their dishes. Their menu is truly beautiful with actual authentic Mexican dishes that haven't been Americanized. Trust me when I say that you need to come visit soon!

Food tasted very good but in my personal opinion the food was slightly overpriced: they gave me my steak medium well when I originally requested it to be medium rare, service was excellent and whenever I was running low on drink or chips my waiter refilled them right away, the ambiance was very chill and mellow.

Had lunch on Friday based on review I saw on Instagram. The service was great I had the Carnitas Michoacán and my spouse ordered the Combo #2 with a cheese enchilada and a steak taco. Both were delicious. The environment was clean and spacious and our server Bryan was very attentive and helpful. We certainly will be returning.
