Please DO NOT stay here. I was visiting Indianapolis for a busy convention, and there wasn't many last minute places to stay. Booked this via Hotels.com for 3 nights, and it appeared to be a decent place to stay. Upon my arrival at around 8:30 PM, there were vagrants loitering in the parking lot and the building looked pretty sketchy. When I walked in, I was immediately hit in face with the STRONG and foul smell of old, stale cigarette smoke and mildew. The lobby, hallways, and especially the rooms all had a disgusting smell that soaked into all of my clothes (when I got home everything in my suitcase REAKED with the awful smell). There were "no smoking" signs posted everywhere, but that apparently hasn't stopped anyone. My pillows were thrown on the bed with NO pillowcases and were covered in yellow, disgusting stains that I imagine to be drool. I would never lay my head on this awful pillow and opted to sleep on one of my hoodies rolled into a ball. The bed sheets appeared to be somewhat clean, but had a weird grayish color that led me to believe they were really old and worn. I wore a long sleeved shirt and pants so my skin was not touching because I felt disgusted. The comforter itself had BLOOD STAINS on it, nothing from a murder scene but still disgusting. I threw it on the floor and did not use it. There was an entertainment center across from the bed, but it was empty and there was no TV in the room. Apparently this is the kind of place who's guests would steal the TV. Thank goodness I had my laptop and could access the wifi to watch Netflix or I probably would have died of boredom since this is not the type of place you want to explore or even walk outside at night. The shower was just disgusting, and I wore my flip flops inside because I was too grossed out to put my bare feet on the floor. The shower curtain liner was stained and covered in gross black/purple stains. The shower floor itself was gross and stained and I felt dirtier after the shower than I did before I got in. I had no choice but to shower so my hair did not REAK of disgusting cigarette smoke at work the next day. I stayed here for 3 nights, and housekeeping did not come once. I had no fresh sheets, no fresh towels, my trash hadn't been emptied---nothing. I'm not sure what kind of hotel doesn't at least do the basics since there were no "do not disturb" signs to deter them and you would think they would at least try to accommodate people booking it as a hotel, not an apartment. I could not wait outside for an Uber for more than 5 minutes without someone approaching me asking for a cigarette or some change/money. Some of the people here live at the "hotel", which reminds me of a Budget Suites or a shady motel. They were even advertising on their sign that they had apartments available. Overall, as a female traveling alone, I did not feel safe here. I would not recommend anyone stay here, especially solo females or families with kids. Please avoid at all costs, this place is a total dump and I had a miserable experience.

Last rooms available in Indianapolis this weekend due to Final Four, location worked well for us visiting family in Greenwood for Easter. Price was insane but it was pretty last minute and nothing else was available by this time. Staff was very helpful and courteous. Lobby looked nice. Did not bother with pool. The room was FILTHY. The carpet and bathroom were heavy with dust bunnies. Feet were dark after walking barefoot. The shower was stained and had mildew. The curtain rods were falling off the wall. The entire hotel including the lobby had bad cigarette smoke odor. Had trouble relaxing or falling asleep as everything just felt and looked dirty. Parts of the room look as if abandoned mid renovation, trim lying loose next to wall, open hole cut in ceiling of bathroom. There were no trash cans, no hair dryer. We ended up traveling to the local wal-mart to grab a cheap hair dryer and a clean blanket which we used to sleep on top of the covers. I attempted to grab a tissue from the dispenser and the whole thing fell out of the wall. We did get neat final four souvenir cups though! I am sure this is normally very affordable but $200+ for a sleepless night and a shower that made me feel less clean in the morning? No thanks.

Whoever wrote the 5 star review most work there or own the place. After driving 17 hours from Providence to Indianapolis, we checked into the Indy Lodge. We booked our room from Orbitz, so we didn't see the motel until we arrived. At first glance, the place looks and feels dated. Like 1970s dated. As we were unpacking the car, the first thought that popped in my head was "transient living". Saw a few guys hanging out like they have been staying here for quite a while. The walls in the rooms are so thin, I heard someone fart in the next room (really!). After we checked in, I noticed that we (2 adults and 2 children) had only 2 bath towels and 2 washcloths. So, I go back down to the lobby and ask for more towels. I was told by the front desk agent, "well, you only get 2 towels per room per day." I said, "Really? You expect 4 people to take showers, and use only 2 towels?!?!?!" (Granted, I was pretty tired and cranky being in a car for 17 hours, so forgive me if I wasn't pleasant). Then she tells me that is no one in housekeeping (they left at 4pm), and she'll try to find someone from maintenance to get us towels, which after about half an hour, they did. That was the first night, a Friday night. Saturday, we were gone most of the day and night. We got back to our room around 10pm, and housekeeping never showed up, so no new towels. So this morning, (Sunday), I go down to the lobby Yet Again, to ask for more towels. This was around 8:30am, and the front desk agent apologized again, and said that housekeeping doesn't get here until 10:00am, and we can get towels then. Are you shitting me? They didn't clean our room, and we can't get any towels?!?!? I told them I was running an errand and will be back, and I want some towels by the time I get back, which they did provide. We'll see if the room is clean and we have enough towels when we get back tonight. Just came back to the room this Sunday night, and surprise! Still No Housekeeping! So now, it's been 3 days since we got here, no one has cleaned the room, and we will have no clean towels, plastic cups, or toilet paper for Monday morning! So, if you would like to stay at a hotel where you don't feel too safe at night, like seeing some shifty dudes hanging around, and don't like or feel the need to shower daily, then the Indy Lodge is for you!

This place is a dump. My husband and 2 friends booked it for several days for the Indy 500 race, the pictures looked like it was an ok place, figured the price was right, fairly close to the track, and since they wouldn't be spending a lot of time in the room thought it would work for them. The first morning he thought it strange that a school bus went through the parking lot picking kids up. Come to find out, apparently it's a lower end motel that people live in for months at a time. The second night the police were all over it, for one thing or another, (possibly drug issues). Husband and friends were talking to the police, and advised by them to find a different place to stay if possible because it's so bad around there! They are looking into it, as I type this. Hopefully they'll be able to find another place at this late date. I would never, ever recommend this place!!

If you're in town and need a nice affordable place to stay, this is your place. The people working there are very nice and helpful and the rooms are decent. I enjoyed my stay there and would definitely stay with them again on future trips.

It was.a very nasty hotel. Druggys running everywhere. There are cockroaches everywhere, and our bathtub was flooded when we got into the room. Asked for a new room and the manager almost refused to give us one until I told him if not I want my money back. Would not advise to stay here. Gross, I'm surprised that they are even allowed to still run.

We we're driving from Atlanta to Chicago and reserved this place to get some rest before continuing our trip the next morning. We were stuck in a bit of traffic and checked in at almost 2 in the morning. Well, let me tell you, when we got there my wife didn't think it was the Hotel as there were about 10 cop cars and a sheriff with a van. She mistaken the place with a Police Precinct. I'm thinking they were filming an episode of the TV series "Cops", but as I verified the address I confirmed this was it where we were to spend the night. As I walked in to confirm my reservation two young girls and a young guy were getting arrested and handcuffed in front of the Hotel. I asked the lady at the front desk (whom by the way had 7 teeth, 4 in her mouth and three in her pocket) if all was well and she responded that everything was fine as if these things happen regularly here. There were some crack head looking individuals at that time around the hotel and it was just not good. The place is dirty and the beds were hard. The bathroom had writings on the door that read "Help Me", the bed sheets were stained as well as the pillow. The room we had smelled like cigarettes and I just couldn't really sleep because I didn't feel safe. It couldn't be morning soon enough so that we can get out of there.

DO NOT stay here, we booked this place for my sister for two nights and not only was it disgusting, it had a bad smell and it did not have all of the amenities they listed like phone, alarm clock and the heat wasn't working properly....we let them know but they never fixed it and said they would take some money off after our stay but did not and as a matter of fact something didn't sound right when my I booked it, we used cash and paid the two nights and he also said he'd need $25 deposit which we'd get back but after checking out he said there was a table leg cracked so you won't get the deposit back. I guess the things we paid for and didn't get wasn't enough so we got a slap in the face when checking out because the table leg had been damaged previously. There were also some pretty suspicious characters staying around the property that made us nervous. I usually book through a travel link but this was last minute and boy did we really pay for that mistake.

Terrible management, understaffed, uncomfortable atmosphere.Turns out the hotel was overbooked and the guy at the front desk was scrambling to find a room. He also claimed that people had been checked out that weren't supposed to be. In his defense, he did the best he could under the circumstances and was helpful. Finally, 20+ minutes and two occupied rooms later, we finally got our room. It was clean and we had no problems once we settled in. It's also a 5 mile drive from the ICC which is convenient. In spite of these, I would still run far away from this place. The overall management of the place was unacceptable, and the atmosphere was uncomfortable. There were people loitering, and we later found out there were people LIVING in the hotel that were most likely drug addicts. We came back one night to find a door propped open by someone we presumed to be an owner of the place. While the door was being watched, there's no telling who he could have let in there. I would advise not traveling here if you are with small children or by yourself (some of the clientele was questionable). Will not be staying here again.

i actually have video of this place and trust me if I posted it completely, the little bit of business that they have would be nonexistent and the health department would probably get involved.. there is no way a place can function like this one was with such unsanitary conditions. the hallways smell like piss and the people wondering the halls are obviously living there so you know how that goes.. if you are a woman please do not stay here alone unless you are down for "whatever", there to get wasted lifted or faded, OK with a "night crawler".. or a one night stand. this is no exaggeration, any other motel is better than this place! THE ROOM:disgusting. blood stained sheets, feces on the wall, roaches, drug paraphernalia, bed bugs, hair, lipstick prints on lamps, drug or prostitution connection just a call away with a number on the mirror.. it was insane. i wouldn't doubt a camera hidden in the shower and a few weeks later you are on some internet porn site.. no joke. if you do stay, just please BE CAREFUL. we ended up leaving as fast as we inspected the room, took video and left. the guy working the front desk didn't even argue with us because he knew exactly what we were describing was true. there is a holiday inn around the corner, just stay there. at least you know what you will be getting and that its clean!
