Dave's Meat Market

I've shopped here many times mostly for meats to cook out on the grill, I have bought their pork BBQ, beef BBQ, tuna salad, chicken salad, pork chops, chicken breast, thick cut bacon, beef hot dogs, sub sandwiches, various steaks, and I'm sure a few things I am forgetting. This business has been here a very long time, and I would guess it probably looks the same way it did almost 50 years ago, but in an old fashioned good way, ha. The building is old, the parking lot is small and sometimes difficult to navigate, as there is a constant flow of vehicles in and out. The inside is small and lined with meat counters in the front, breads on the right, and coolers filled with cold drinks, fresh brown eggs, milk, and other items at the rear. So there is not much room inside, and sometimes the lines are too the door. Seems most people in line just buy a few meats for a special dinner that night. While the large orders are assembled after hours and available for pick up at the side door. This is a locally owned and family operated, real butcher shop. It's not fancy like an expensive chain store might be, but what it lacks in looks, it makes up for in fresh and great tasting meats. The owner can cut you specific sizes of a meat if you wish. They stay very busy and are well known to the locals, as one of the best meat shops around anywhere. They also sell large quantities of meats in many various packages, and can custom design a package just for you. Such as 25 lbs of mixed beef, 50 lbs of pork and beef, or even 100 lbs of pork, beef, and chicken. Those are just examples, but they can fill your freezer with anything cuts of meats you want. The more you buy the lower the cost goes. I do not recall ever getting a bad cut of meat from here. It is always very fresh, a good cut, cooks well, is juicy, tasty, and ends up making a great meal. This is an authentic old time, old style butcher shop, that you normally only see in small towns nowadays, and it is worth the time to stop in and buy your meat here instead of from a large retail franchise chain store.

Been going to Daves for over 30 years, the gr.beef/gr.chuck is second to none. No grease to drain, and great taste. Ham loaf is amazing(special order). I worked at Daves over 25 years ago and if the meat brought in isnt up to Daves standards it gets sent back. Everyone loves the pre-pattied bacon burgers, pork patties etc. The pork bbq is made from extra lean pork and is amazing! The filet mignon is probably one of the favorite steaks, make sure to get them wrapped with bacon! If youre in a hurry for lunch stop by Daves for a deli sandwich, Daves famous chili! Or other daily specials

This place is great. It's a little hole-in-the-wall meat market, but they have great prices, and the meat is top-notch. I buy almost all of my meat here. No pink slime in their ground beef. The only thing keeping me from giving them 5 stars is the kinda funky smell. But don't let that stop you, the products are superb.

5 STAR MEATS! I read the reviews and see the comments about the smell. Smells like Fresh Local Quality Meat! This place is fantastic. Fresh meat at a excellent price. Also they serve lunch and it's all homemade and amazing! Dave knows his stuff and can count on my buisness. His staff is so friendly and genuilly happy to see you it's nice. They also have meat packages available in diffrent sizes! Did i forget they have SCHOOL PIZZA I REPEAT THEY HAVE SCHOOL PIZZA! You can buy a frozen sheet of it or wait for it..... They will cook u some while u wait! Talk about a blast from the past.

Love Dave's! This is a great place to buy meat. The staff is friendly and helpful. They chicken salad is delicious! The bbq beef and pork is delicious too! I usually get a big order every few months and I find it's easier to call it in. They can get kind of busy, on the weekends especially. I buy all my meat here. There price and quality blow Wal-Mart and Kroger outbid the water!

This is the best place. Building is old and looks kinda sketchy but don't let that fool you! This is Greenfield's best kept secret! The chicken salad is amazing and I love the chili. This local shop has been a huge blessing to my family through hard times. I'll always be a customer at Dave's!!

Loved the idea of having a local butcher. Upon moving to Greenfield it was one of my first places to go. Unfortunately I was quickly disappointed. Upon entry the stench of rotting meat hits your face. The selection didnt look bad but I couldn't get past the smell and left. Now you might be saying to yourself "its a meat butcher, what do you expect?" and I would have to partially agree. Just do me a favor then, go to Meat Masters near Walmart and tell me if you get the same smell. Meat Masters may be more expensive but I don't have to worry about the quality of meat.

DONT ORDER HERE Worst experience ever ordered a 4pound Prime Rib at $14 received 3 different price from the kids bad kids that work there Toughest meat I ever had ended up paying $74 for a Ribeye Called owner told him about it and he lectured me that they are the same meat NO They Are Most Certainly Not he wouldn't make it right now I am calling BBB

Dave's is Greenfields hidden gem. They have the best Chili available daily in quart size containers. They have fresh butchered meats of all kinds. They really are the place to visit to stock up. I have purchased from here for years and they never run out. They are priced below supermarket meats and taste better. I am not paid by them and I do not work for them. Thanks to Dave's Market for being here for us.

Chicken salad is so good!! It was my first time visiting--walked in having never been there before and left with the employee saying goodbye to me by name! You just don't find places like this anymore. The service was excellent, prices were great. I will definitely be back!
