The hotel is conveniently attached (via walkway) to the Convention Center. It is also easily walkable to Pacers and Colts games. There are actually rooms inside an old train, though we had the traditional room. Everything was comfortable and the staff at the restaurants and bar were friendly. We were slightly disappointed we couldn't get a late checkout (I have IHG status that allows it), citing a "mass departure and needing to get all rooms cleaned", but it didn't ruin the stay. Clean room, hot shower, comfortable bed...all good.

Came to town to visit my son and decided to stay at this hotel. This hotel is centrally located to downtown, Lucas Oil Field and Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The rooms are good size - they have a frig in the room, a Keurig Coffee Maker, and the beds are pretty comfortable. Currently going through some renovations. They are converting the old Train Barn at Union Station into this hotel. You can even book to stay in a few of the old train cars that have been converted into rooms. Looks pretty cool from the outside. They do have a restaurant on site although we did not try it. There is also an indoor pool and a small workout area.

We stayed here a few years ago and when looking to be downtown for a night, we thought this would be a good choice. The historic charms add to the overall experience. The location is good, however, there are a lot.more homeless people wandering around than I recall from the last time. I know crime in the area is up too. We woke up the next morning to a story about 2 people being shot just a block or two from here. This is a no frills hotel and it was clean and the staff was courteous, professional, and friendly. We thought it would be cool to sleep in one of the ten train cars that they have and it was. The layout is neat and different. The three stars is because of the noise. The drawback to sleeping in a train car that is on old tracks is that there are still active tracks next to you. Some reviews said it added to the ambience and I get it. It was not pleasant having trains rumble by and shake the entire room every 20-30 minutes all night long. Some reviews say if you stay in the interior of the hotel you don't hear/feel the trains. I am not sure. The location was decent I just believe I would stay in a hotel farther away from the train tracks next time.

We had such a great time staying here in the winter when we were visiting from being stationed in Hawaii. My kids had not seen snow before, so it was very exciting. We rented a train car and it was whimsical and delightful. My kids also really enjoyed All of the "ghosts." The food quality in the restaurant was very good; However, I wish they were open for more than dinner. Another time we had a family Vaca at a nearby hotel, and when our pool was broken, they allowed us to use theirs. That was extremely generous and probably saved the vacation for my two young boys. Thx for the awesome service!! Parking is plentiful with a nearby garage and the location is superb. There's lots of places to eat and the mall is across the street.

For a less than 24 hr visit to Indy my overnight stay at the Crowne Plaza was ideal. The overnight attendant was wonderful, I did not check in until 11:30pm she was extremely kind, and yielded superb customer service. I appreciated the convenient walkway to the convention center for a conference I was attending. The hotel is historic, I enjoyed seeing the trains throughout the hotel.

We recently stayed at this hotel while attending a motocross event at Lucas oil Stadium. Very convenient walk to the convention center and stadium as they are connected. There are plenty of places within walking distance to eat. Our favorite was st elmo! Valet was nice but it filled up fast and I noticed that some people had to use the parking garage across the street. We were one of the lucky ones to be able to keep our car there. The front desk was extremely helpful and our room was very clean and spacious. The kids really enjoyed the pool. It was the perfect size and very clean. Bathrooms are small but we had everything we needed.

You have 2 choices. Pay $50 a night to valet, or walk 3 blocks in the middle of the street dragging all your belongings. That's the first problem. I just wouldn't have stayed here if I would have been warned. The parking garage right next to the hotel has been deduced to rubble. None of the ice machines have any ice. So I walked my ice bucket to the front desk & asked if someone at the bar could please fill it up. A very rude woman directed me to the only working ice machine in the hotel, that was REALLY far from our room. The hotel was sold out of double rooms, so we got a king room & requested a cot. I am aware they cots do not have a reputation for comfort, but this one feels like it's filled with rocks. Oh, & also the bathroom has mold on the ceiling. Won't be staying here again. Like, ever. Not even close to being worth $300 per night!!!!! Holy cow.

Unfortunately one of the worst hotels I have stayed it due to the trains. Due to the location of this hotel, the south side rooms are DIRECTLY next to the rails. Now, obviously, the hotel had no control over when the trains run, but they could upgrade their windows and walls to help prevent the noise.I'm not talking about a little noise either. If it was only the SHAKING of the room, I could handle it but the trains screech unbearably loud and high pitched due to them trying to slow down. You know the, the noise of metal scrapping metal. ALL NIGHT.It happens ALL night long too. I'm talking about 3-4 trains from 11pm until 7am and then it's regular throughout the day. Unfortunately, we complained to the staff but the hotel was entirely booked up and their solution was to provide us earplugs. Aside from that, the rooms are okay. They have no microwaves (you have to go down to the lobby to use their microwave) and the rooms are a bit dingy. Decent beds and decent pillows though.I highly recommend another hotel as last resort because you're going to get broken sleep if you're near the tracks. Do not get the south side near the tracks.

Five star location for downtown, Lucas Oil, Convention Center, etc. Literally connected to most of these venues, walking distance to great food and sites as well. The rooms are spacious, clean and easy to find. They have a nice breakfast buffet and many other amenities like business center, meeting spaces and a bar.If you are a fan of trains, book a train car room - it's unique and nostalgic. Feels just like a private rail car, complete with king sized bed, bath and sitting area. My only complaint was that the hotel is connected to the actual rail line and several trains rolled through quite loudly at 11pm and 545am. Not the end of the world but surprising for sure. Will definitely away here again.

We were here for a convention and We LOVED the vibe of this hotel. The train cars and train station vibe was so cool. The service was amazing and the rooms were great. Our room was right by the room we had the convention in which was super convenient. It is in a great location to explore Downtown Indianapolis. The only downsides were there is no hot tub, we were really looking forward to a hot tub every night. And unfortunately our bed was very hard and uncomfortable. But besides that, we had a great experience and would definitely stay again!
