Cosmopolitan On The Canal

I lived here briefly. Within a month the garage that is "gated" was broken into. When I asked the office they said that no one had broken into the garage. When I asked why there was broken glass on the second floor of the garage they said "well of course they broke into cars and got into the garage once they had a pass from the cars they broke into on the first level". They purposefully misled me and played down the crime. They then left the "broken" gate unfixed for months, with a car that sat at the entrance. When I asked the person sitting in the car at the entrance what was going on he showed me a gun he had and said they were trying to catch the thieves who had been there (he literally showed me a gun). I felt less safe than before, they had some vigilante with a gun sitting in the garage trying to catch the thieves.I paid rent every month on time, when I moved out they charged me for damage "from an open window" . I had never opened a window. They not only claimed it was open, but magically had me admitting I had left it open and admitting the open window had caused the damage. I am not a liar. I accepted the damage just so I can get away from these conniving renters. I am a resident at a local hospital and will encourage any incoming resident moving to Indianapolis to not move in to this apartment. A lot of people post bad reviews simply because they are mad, but please do not live here or let your kids live somewhere that is unsafe.

The Cosmo is a great place to live! We recently moved out after a year and a half because we purchased a home, but if I ever need to rent again I would live here. The units are well updated, the leasing team (Sonia and Stacey) are extremely helpful and nice, and maintenance requests are always completed quickly.One of my favorite things about the Cosmo is it's location. It's located right on the canal in a safe neighborhood, right across the street from Kroger, and only a 5-10 minute walk to downtown. I highly recommend living here!

We rented a VRBO in this complex, and it was comfortable, well-appointed, conveniently located, and had great amenities.

I am a new resident and must say to date I have been very pleased. The staff in the office has been great and always quick to respond to any issues. One thing I enjoy is living on the canal and living in this location of downtown. Unlike the popular Mass Ave this area is not as busy and hectic, and if you enjoy being outside or working out this is the best place to be downtown. If looking for a place to live DT please check out this complex.
