Perfect setting for my birthday dinner. Have lived in Zville for two years and finally made my way here. So very happy that I chose this restaurant. From the outside it looks small but once you step in, it is much bigger- 2 dining rooms. The lighting was perfectly set. The overall look of the restaurant was classic and clean. I order a mocktail that was tart and sweet and delicious. For dinner I came to Yelp to help me decide. Went with a crown fave The Nero. Black squid ink pasta with crab, lobster and shrimp. Sooooo good and the portion was quite large as I took home leftovers. My husband got the Ravioli with butternut squash and he loved it as well. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable and gave great recommendations. We will be back!

Came here for a girls night and I was NOT disappointed. It's situated in downtown Zionsville on such a cute little street and can be hard to miss if you're not looking. One added plus is that there is plenty of street parking as well. From the outside it looks small but the minute I walked in I couldn't help but feel this warm and inviting atmosphere. Service was excellent and we were quickly seated at a table. Our server was very kind and let us look over the menu and we deliberated over what to eat. I ordered my usual glass of Chianti and settled on the Rigatoni Funghi Salisiccia. Now let's get to the main event, the food. I will start off by saying you can tell that a-lot of love and care went into making the dish. The rigatoni tasted fresh and was the right amount of creamy without being too much. Hands down the best Italian food I have had in a while in Indy! Overall great experience, food, and service. However, I am docking one star because I was not aware and we were not offered the complimentary focaccia which I am quite sad about.

4th time just terrible... Nearly everyone at the table disliked or was meh about the food and service, again... My recommendation is to stick to the Carmel one, this one favors local usuals and forgets you exist if they don't know you. I'm sure management will say "oh we are sorry come try again" but we have and you still didn't care. My experience isn't going to ruin your reputation just be better.Like always we don't send food back. And service doesn't take away from the foods quality judgement.Cost to taste scores:1/10 Nero Risotto: Way Too tight (again), too under (again), way too salty (again) for the 3rd time6/10 Short Rib Gnocchi: Dry how do you do dry short ribs? Sauce was decent and Gnocchi could have been touched with a pan before thrown in to crisp them.9/10 Mushroom Pizza: Amazing! This is where whoever made it has the right touch at pressing out that dough and perfectly seasoning and dressing the pizza to hit all the marks of flavor across every bite.7/10 Tortelloni: Basic pasta, for fresh. Looked better than it was. Needed some work but the sauce saved it from being a 4/10.

My first time at the zionsville location. I tried the gnocchi with short rib and it was so good. I love their portion sizes here. Great value for the price. I have been to other Italian restaurants where you get like 6 gnocchi for $30 and that just won't do because I like to EAT. They have a great wine selection and I love that the wine menu even has a map showing where certain wines are from.

I came here for my birthday with some friends. Granted I've been spoiled having lived in Europe & eating the Italian food there, but this was good. Especially for Indianapolis. I always get happy when I see octopus on the menu, though this one was a bit bland and chewy. Same with Nero pasta-- it's my favorite dish! The Nero was good, not a "wow" but I would get it again. I thought the place would be a bit dressier than it was-- saw a lot of very casual wear. Service was good-- the waiter was eclectic but attentive! Overall, I'd say it was a good Italian restaurant, likely the best in Indy but again my standards are a bit unfair. I would go again.

Came back again! Love that they switch up the menu and highlight a new region of Italy with dishes to reflect that culture. This time around we got the short rib gnocchi and the apple strudel for dessert! They were both delicious and so filling! Service was great.

Our waitress sucked! There were 9 of us. I wish I knew her name. My fillet was awesome but the potatoes were over cooked and greasy.

New menu, new review. I always love coming here because of the fresh pasta and the beet salad. (If they ever take the beet salad off the menu I will be the saddest kid on earth.)Don't sleep on the gnocchi as it's the best thing I've ever had here and that saying something. The raviolis were well made, they just weren't our thing... gotta try something new sometimes. The fig and olive combination is always such a hit in my book and I don't even like olives... except here, in this dish. Their salty really balances the fig. Other new menu item for me was my dessert martini. I love their limoncello and often just pour it over vanilla gelato (btw the peach gelato was superb) but this martini uses Bailey's to give the creaminess so extra booze but still feels rich and decadent. Excellent service as always. We'll be back for more!!

My daughter earned straight As on her report card and was able to select where we ate for dinner. She selected Convivio - good choice. I had been here one other time with a work event. Then we had 16+ people, the crew did great, the atmosphere was great for a work event and all went smoothly. This time, we were with just my family of 4. And again, the crew did great, the atmosphere was great for a straight A celebration and all went smoothly. Both times the food was cooked perfectly and the presentation was art work. I want to go back to try more things! Big group, small group - this is a fine place to be....

I have passed by this restaurant and kind of overlooked it for years. Big Mistake! Service was excellent! All of their pasta, except gluten free, is made in house!!!! Delicious!!! Their portions are very generous; it's enough to share. I ordered the Nero-squid ink pasta; it was amazing. You'll love this dish if you love seafood. The table also ordered the Tagliatelle, and a spatzle dish. All were delicious!!! The restaurant is spacious; and all of the staff were very attentive. I can't wait to come back to try other dishes!
