College Inn

Given the circumstances, I was undecided about the rating to give.I had a phone reservation for two nights, but found a bedbug on my first night, was moved to a different room in a different part of the building, canceled my second night and went somewhere else. So that wasn't great. The owners, however, handled the situation excellently, and were even gracious and pleasant when I arrived in the office at the buttcrack of dawn to cancel my second night. So I don't want to give them one star, but the idea of bringing a bedbug home freaks me right now. (The creepy little things are EVERYWHERE these days, including nice hotels, movie theaters, and hospitals. UGH. So it's not necessarily a mark that the motel is horrible, either.)

We booked 2 months in advance and where quoted $45 a night. We didn't need anything fancy, just clean and cheap since we would be on a work trip. They would not send a confirmation.When we got there we paid with a credit card for the $45 a night rate. The next night we got a knock on the door and the owner (who had checked us in the night before) demanded an extra $200 immediately or we would have to get out. I checked for other vacancies in town online and there was nothing!So we decided to pay so we at least had a place to sleep the rest of our stay.He suddenly couldn't except a credit card and demanded cash!Besides this sleazy dealing the room was small, the bed was hard as a rock and only had a flat sheet and a thin blanket, the heater was broken and only blew cold air (it was 40 degrees at night!) there was a hole in the bathroom wall, and the tub was so slick I could hardly stand up to take a shower and I'm under 30 years old! The internet did not work, no coffee, ice machine was turned off or broken, and the parking lot was so tiny you better be driving a Prius if you stay here.The only plus I can give is the TV was new and it actually had a fridge and microwave in the room!

Its a lot cleaner than it was when we got here our house burn down i work in greencasle so we dicided to come here we been here almost 4months while were looking for a house since my wife starded working here its been getting better wont happen over night as anybody that has a business knows but it come a long way in the wright direction

This place is ridiculous! My husband and his buddy stayed there from Feb 22 and checked out today the 25th. They were there for a moose state pool tournament. Two people, 2 beds and one towel . My husband asked for more towels because the housekeeper never serviced the room and once again given one towel. This place is a dump and the desk guy is either on heroin or something. Gets pissed because you ask for towels and actually double booked their room ! They were there 3 days and not once was the room serviced. Save you're $ and spend it some place else. I don't understand how this place is even rated 3.1 stars (Its gone down since his reservation) It deserves a -0!

Objectively speaking, nothing bad happened. It wasn't an overall negative experience, but it wasn't a pleasant experience. The wife and I stayed here two nights on account of there being a family event in the area. This place can be better, and I firmly believe that.Review in Summary with a Pros/Cons list: Room 119, King sized bed.Pros:-Cost is relatively low ($123 and change for two nights).-Free/complementary WiFi (WPA2 w/password).-Bathroom has a built in space heater (its actual working status is unknown).-Has in wall fan A/C unit. -AC provides enough cooling to keep occupants from being uncomfortably hot/warm. -Towels and washcloths provided.-Friendly staff. Very approachable.Cons:-An unfamiliar, ambient smell in the room.-No complimentary hand soap. -One towel per person is provided, or two towels provided. Additional towels would have to be requested. -Toilet is very close to the wall. -Bathtub/Shower is smaller than standard (maybe 2/3s what I consider normal size). -Shower curtain is small and doesn't cover wall to wall. It is a bent shower curtain rod that wraps around.-Bathroom has no vanity space, though there is certainly enough room for one, or even a makeshift table next to the sink.-No bathroom rug/matt, you'll have to use a towel.-A/C unit at maximum cooling does not provide enough cooling. Compressor may be artificially limited, or cooling may be limited. No temperature gauge, just 1-10 turn dial.-No visible electrical outlets in the bathroom, which means one cannot use a hairdryer in the bathroom. There is one small 2 prong AC outlet at the light fixture over the sink (actual working status is unknown). -Hairdryer not provided. -All trashcans are mini-trashcans. No medium/large trashcans. -The doorway is not sealed/insulated. You can see the sun shine through at the bottom of the doorway. An ant was spotted in the bathroom, however it was dead. This place can be better than it is, but what it is as of year 2017, it is sub par. Explore other options, unless you're good with paying less.
