I moved into College Courts of Nora at the end of September this year, and so far, I am very pleased with my experience. I have had to request maintenance several times, but they have always been on time and responded in a timely manner. They have fixed my issues and have had no problems. The rental office staff is great and does a good job communicating issues and/or complex news on a regular basis. The security alarm feature in each apartment is terrific and I utilize it on a regular basis. I love my hardwood floors and new appliances. It is very quiet and I enjoy the complex. My neighbors are nice and keep to themselves. I would recommend this apartment complex to anyone looking for a new place. The prices are reasonable and the staff are terrific!

I realized after I had recommended this complex for the 3rd time, I had never gone on here and written a review. While I moved out in July of 2019, I still recommend this complex whenever anyone is looking in the area! You are within a great location to 465 as well as 31 which is super convenient! You are in a very safe area though! There are also so many great restaurants and shops within a very close distance as well! They have renovated nearly all of their apartments to have hardwood floors now which is very nice! I personally had carpet but they did offer a free cleaning if we renewed our lease. They also gave us $500 off 1st months rent and a free rental washer and dryer for 13 months! The office staff was always super friendly and approachable. There was one specific office staff that remembered my name and I loved that! They have a nice pool as well as sidewalks to walk throughout the complex which is super nice to have. You are also within very close range to the Monon Trail, YMCA, and a soccer field. They do not allow pets unless it is emotional support, so that is important to know. All of my neighbors were super friendly and helpful if ever needed. You get your own private patio/balcony though if you like your own space. I never had a problem with maintained either. They came quickly and always fixed the problem or explained what they needed to fix the problem if they couldn't fix it right away. I highly recommend this complex!! Check it out if you're looking in the area!

Rated it terribly before for previous bad management, but they've taken great actions and care for their residents again. It's in a great location of Indy. Very safe and close to everything you need including about a 20 minute drive downtown. Newer apartments look nice and they keep the area clean.

I lived here for fourteen months on a rent special that saved me fifty dollars per month on rent if I signed a fourteen-month lease. It's in a decent location on the north side that's close to Target and Kroger and several gas stations as well as 465. It was also not far from the Monon Trail. It was nice to live in a place that has free access to their pool and have a place with a balcony.Aside from that, that's about where the perks ended. It's a large complex with the typical equipment for cheap, standard apartments. My cabinets were falling apart, the walls had been nailed into and filled in countless times, and the balcony was a shared balcony with my neighbor who frequently used my part of the balcony on her phone call pacing adventures. It is fairly quiet, but it is possible to hear the alarm that goes off at the elementary school nearby about once a week. Every noise in the parking lot can be heard, and I could hear my neighbors watching TV or talking on the phone. Not to mention, my lovely downstairs neighbor with lung cancer who chain-smoked day and night inside the apartment. I had to sleep with my bedroom door closed--when I opened it in the morning I was hit with a wall of pungent smoke. While this doesn't have to do a lot with the management, I was disappointed when they didn't do a whole lot to correct things that were wrong with the complex. When the water circulating system broke in the pond, it took them weeks to remove it, so children were playing in the pond full of stagnant goose feces and what I'm sure was a mass culture of different insects and parasites. Maintenance is fairly responsive and they get things done quickly, but it's always a quick, cheap fix. It's a decent place to live, but the neighborhood is going downhill due to neighboring complexes only accepting Section 42 residents. I felt very safe when I first moved in, but there were a few break-ins and some people who were mugged in my last few months there. If the price went down, it would be OK, but it was not worth what I was paying to live there anymore.

The complex is convenient to 465 and Meridian. Lots of good shopping and restaurants nearby. That's the good news. The bad news is that the maintenance folks are super slow to respond. I mean super slow! If the office has paperwork specific to you, they leave it on your door even though there's a stamp that says "leave WITH Tennant or place INSIDE" so my personal info is left just sitting on the door. Slide it under the door for crying out loud! At times there are vehicles left in the parking spot for months! Management does zero about this. My lightbulb in the microwave is out and management says they have to order it. 8 weeks later... still no bulb. Ridiculous! Rents keep increasing and this is my last year there after 4 years. They are losing a good tenant.

Just another greedy corporation that doesn't care about their tenants. They don't let you know when maintenance enters your unit. I came home to find things out of place; obvious sign that someone had been there. No work order left to notify me. No phone call or text. I called the office and they don't even know what's going on. I don't feel safe. I have the smallest unit; 475 sq ft that I share with appliances, closets, furniture and fixtures. I do not have a balcony or patio. I. The last 2 years my rent has been increased over $100 each time. The pool is only opened when the office is opened so is the gym. If you want after hours access it's an extra charge. Therefore these amenities are of no use to me. The carports are rarely cleaned out are always filled with dead leaves. The carpeting in the vestibule is filthy and smelly. This was a nice place when I first moved in 4 years ago. Not any more.

Great location. Nice apartment. Nice amenities. But... u have a pool, but it closes at 6. So no one can use it. The rent was raised over $200 in 2 years & it was over $1000 when we moved in. Maintenance is ok, but sometimes you have to ask them to come back, but they get the important stuff done. Office staff is ok, turn over seems pretty high, so you never know who to talk to for issues. Issues like when ur apartment smells like Pot super bad cuz Cheech n Chongs long lost son moved in full time downstairs. But no worries, they will be on ur improperly parked car like lightning. I used to really love the apartment & location. But now the lack of access to amenities + the dramatic price increase has made it no longer worth the hassle.

I'm living in an apartment at College Courts, leased for 5 months while my home is being built. I'm paying a large amount of rent per month, which includes an extra $75 per month because it's a short term lease. The problem is there are animals living in the walls. They are nesting and are extremely loud, making it impossible to have a conversation or watch TV in the living area and they are also in the wall of the Master bathroom. The scratching and bumping in the walls is so loud and nerve racking, that we spend all of the time living in the bedrooms or staying with relatives. I've complained at least five or six times to the office staff, and to the property manager. They say traps were set and they've sealed vents, but the animals are still getting inside the walls. You can hear the loud scratching as they scratch through whatever was used to seal the hole or vent. The noise keeps me awake at night as they are also in the Master bathroom wall adjacent to the Master bedroom. I've sent a letter regarding this issue, asking management to call me regarding this. I did get a call saying they would find and seal the entry. I was told there would be a follow up call. It's been over two weeks. No follow up call. The animals are louder than ever. I suffer from autoimmune diseases, and my daughter has allergies. I've called the Indiana Health Dept. and am now consulting with a lawyer to see if I can break this lease and recoup some of my money. DO NOT CONSIDER THIS APARTMENT AS A GOOD PLACE TO LIVE! We also had a broken and leaking refrigerator, broken garbage disposal, no water pressure in the shower/tub, and a clogged dryer vent the first week living here. We've now only lived here for 1 1/2 months but it seems an eternity!!! Save your money and rent elsewhere. I'm so sorry we chose this terrible place! I'd give them 0 stars if possible! I'm going to keep reporting them til something is done!

Do not move here.As long as you do not have to interact with the leasing staff this place is nice. I have been here for almost 2 years and like the property and apartment, the maintenance staff is also very friendly. In stark contrast the leasing office (with the exception of Joann)is very unprofessional and unhelpful. Maintenance issues like a squealing AC keeping me up at night took at least 4 visits and 6 months to fix, broken oven 3+ months. There is a general attitude of of distrust whenever I bring them an issue(3 times in 2 years). I pay early every month and will be leaving at the end of my lease due to the outright disrespect and complete lack of assistance when my vehicle was vandalized repeatedly in the parking lot and again while parked at the leasing office right next to the resident officers police cruiser. The property and office has no security cameras or patrols. I was told on 3 separate occasions that the property manager Kelly would reach out to me to assist and never got any call or help. An Indianapolis police officer requested a garage for the vehicle for a few days and was flat out told no in a very rude manner. I really am floored by the very poor attitude of the leasing staff, when I take perfect care of my place and always pay early. If you are an excellent tenant, College Courts does not deserve your business until they employee better leasing people.

A new low...Renter's Beware. I have been here since July 2013 and year after year I have regretted that decision. This was the only complex with a vacancy (now I see why) and good thing I now have enough to buy a house so I can move out of this poorly ran complex. Instead of making sure an apartment is safe to move in, instead of upgrading the dated interiors of these poorly made buildings, instead of following up on numerous complaints about drug use in the building which eventually led to a break-in, instead of making sure the apartment is clean before a renter moves in like promised, even when they check the day before to make sure it will be clean on the promised move-in date, instead of completing thorough checks to make sure every apartment has smoke detectors, instead of fixing the pavement, instead of making sure apartment hallways are cleaned consistently and instead of taking action to prevent crime the staff of this complex chooses to restrict how you park. Yes, you can't back into a parking spot. So if friends or family come over warn them they could be towed. Parking is already bad enough because the parking lines are not evenly drawn. Drive through the complex around 6:00 pm-7:00pm when everyone is home and you will see how close cars have to park. If you don't park on the edge you're guaranteed some door damage. The staff claims they can't tell if your vehicle is abandoned or not so they are tagging and towing cars that back into parking spots. This staff is so incompetent that it can't tell an abandoned car from a car that works so they decide to tow all the cars if they can't see your license plate. All the problems I mentioned above are problems that I have experienced. I would not recommend this place. In addition to the incompetent staff, you have to provide a 60-day notice instead of 30 like normal apartments because they want to make it harder for you to move. Plus, it's hard to save up for a house because rent increases by nearly $30 every time you renew. When I moved in back in July my rent was $644. As of the date of this posting my rent is now $721 and when they offer the new lease in July I'm sure they'll be tacking another 30 on that. Plus staff changes like a revolving door. Bottom line, the only pro to this complex is the area, but there are four other complexes literally within walking distance and one has free gas heat not the electric heat that goes right out of these cheap single pane windows. I know most people will say "why don't you just move?" because moving is hassle in between working 40+ hours and going to school. Now that I have the chance I will be moving and letting others know about this place so they don't make the same mistake. DON'T MOVE HERE!!!
