Although there aren't many amenities to draw a tourist to the park, for the folks who work downtown, this is a great location, just south of the court house. The park/plaza has an arcing pergola that offers shaded bench seating for anyone wishing to eat or relax outdoors. In the middle of the plaza is a small gazebo with a table, and hanging flower baskets off each of the six corners. The middle of the park flooring is a circular pattern of brick. Concrete spreads out from there to the bench seating, and the rest of the park is either trees/lawn or flower gardens. The gardens were in bloom and well maintained to make the park look great. So nice to see color and life tucked away among the buildings of downtown.Street parking was available (free) for up to 2 hours on three sides of the park.Review #1104

What a neat little park! I was surprised to see this little park when I was checking out downtown Anderson. It's very small but seemed well kept, but that wasn't the main draw. There is a piano and a bench under the gazebo and I just had to play it. This would be a great park to eat lunch or just to chill at, if there were more to do downtown. Stop by this one if you're in the area.
