Christos - West Lafayette

Enjoyed my experience here at breakfast, best part is they have breakfast all day!!We ordered veggie omlettes and pecan waffle toast, I asked for a scoop of icecream on the side to have with my warm waffle which was delicious! The coffee was great! Our server was a nice, friendly and super fast! The ambiance was great, especially at breakfast I'm not looking for bright big windows but instead dim lights with shades on big windows is my thing which I got there!

Ah, West Lafayette--a place where Boilermakers brew, and grudges stew. I found myself here, meeting my son, Keith, his partner, my ex-wife, and her new beau, Roger Chambliss (yes, that Roger--if I had a nickel for every time I had to sit across from that guy... well, I'd have enough to buy a small island). I'm better looking than him which makes matters even worse. Now, onto the scene at Christos - New City Grill. The parking lot was a refreshing change from the usual West Lafayette chaos--plenty of space, and a ramp made it easy for those who need it to roll right in without any fuss. The crowd? Let's just say it was a 'men in uniform' kind of morning, with police and firemen filling the place. I half expected a fire drill with the way they were packed in there, but apparently, it's just the Saturday morning norm. Who knew Christos was the unofficial HQ for West Lafayette's finest?Despite Purdue's football game just down the road, the place was busy, but not like Black Friday busy. More like, 'Roger is going to talk about how much he loves his new car for the third time, but at least there's a good vibe' busy. You get the picture.I ordered the two-egg breakfast with toast, hashbrowns, and bacon. Simple, right? Well, it hit the spot. I devoured it like I was trying to make Roger disappear. The rest of the table cleaned their plates too--veggie omelet, biscuits and gravy, and a breakfast burrito all got rave reviews. The star of the show, though, was our waitress. She didn't miss a beat, even with my four cups of coffee downed in record time. I tipped her 30%, and trust me, that's not because I'm made of money, but because she deserved it.Gerry's Score: 3.72/5So, why a 3.72/5? Because Christos is like that reliable friend who's always there when you need them--not the one who'll whisk you away to a Michelin-starred dinner, but the one who'll have your back and keep the coffee flowing. And let's face it, sometimes that's exactly what you need. Well done, Christos. You didn't blow me away, but you did make me forget about Roger for a good hour, and that's worth its weight in bacon. Viva!

The food was plentiful! Our first time visiting and the service was excellent. Plenty of room to sit with a large group.

Nice place to have a breakfast business meeting. Breakfast came out quickly and as ordered. No complaints, food was tasty and had a nice server.

A return visit and I was happy with the food and service today. Lots of appealing items on the menu but I settled on the Mediterranean omelet with pancakes. Hash browns and choice of toast is also an option for side. The service was excellent with plenty of drink refills, a plus! The omelette was big enough I took half of it home. My previous complaint about loud noise level was not an issue today. I was there at 8:30am so not a peak time. There are some plexiglass partitions between booths, tastefully done, and carpeting in part of the seating area. These updates help dampen any noise and improve the ambiance. Thanks!

I got the broken taco. It was delicious. The waitress was very nice. She took very good care of us. I recommend this place. It's nice and clean too in there.

Came in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Dining room was modern and clean. Ate one of the best burgers I've had in West Lafayette in months. The server I had was very kind and accommodating. Great place to get lunch. Good food, good service, good prices. Not much more you could ask for!

The service here at Christi's West Lafayette has absolutely cratered. We arrived around 7:35 on a Tuesday night, wondering if they had closed the kitchen already, as the last Tuesday we attempted to go here we were told that they close at 8:00.We expected to be a bit rushed for our order as the 8:00 hour was fast approaching. What we didn't expect was to be left waiting for a server for 10 minutes, and observing another party coming in after us by about 10 mins being given drinks and having their order taken almost immediately following their being seated when no one had even ventured close to our table. We got up and left. Unfortunately my partner had left his keys on the table, so I went in to retrieve them. A person who identified herself as a manager told me she understood that we did not have a good experience. I hastened to inform her that we actually had no experience, and described the debacle that had just occurred.She offered us coupons for another visit. I informed her that, no, we don't want any coupons when the service (or lack thereof) was so abysmal to begin with. Why would we subject ourselves to that a second time.?I would strongly recommend staying clear of this restaurant, unless you're ok with horrid service.For those who may be thinking "Wow, that's a bit harsh," or why not "give them another chance," or "perhaps this was just a bad night," this was our third attempt following two other visits on different days and times that both had similarly horrible service. I was trying to be fair in my evaluation, so I gave them a couple more chances before penning this pan.

Was looking for a place for weekend brunch and came across good reviews for Christos. You go into the restaurant to be put o a waiting list and they text you when your table is ready. Large selection to choose from for brunch. Since it was after 11:00am, we were also able to order from the lunch menu. The challah French toast with the scalloped apples were soooo good! The chopped sirloin breakfast was devoured by my son. The gyro breakfast skillet was delicious. We enjoyed our brunch so much we decided to return later for dinner. It is now our go to place when we visit West Lafayette!

It was a Sunday night when we decided to go dine at Christos new city grill, when we had gotten all our food, the waitress brought a refill and spilled it on my mom. The water was so cold that she screamed so loud. But the food was pretty good.
