I tried the rodeo fries once over a year ago and have been hooked ever since. The combination of the cheese, bbq sauce, and fried onion pieces on top is spectacular. I finally caved and decided to try something else and tried the vegetarian and vegan tacos and they were very good. The simple mixture of its contents were nice and and 2 tacos were enough to fill me up. I look forward to visiting this truck whenever i can....and also Carrie is super nice and remembers my order:) lol.

They would come to Fransican when I worked there! I loved trying to twist on the tacos! I was pleasantly surprised when I went to a doctors appointment at Community health and they were outside. I had to stop without question! The staff is always quick and friendly!

I got the Firecracker Chicken loaded fries. You can get this with nacho cheese or shredded, and I opted for shredded. This has popcorn-like style chicken, fried jalepenls, and firecracker sauce. The portion is huge! Fries are crispy and seasoned. This was a heavy lunch for sure, but was quite tasty.Pro tip: You can get any taco version as loaded fries.

This was my first time trying this truck as I hadn't heard about it until today, but man it was amazing. I myself got the Chomp'z Rodeo Burger and it was fantastic, especially with those onion strings that seemed to have a chicken fry to them. Absolutely going again

First things first - how could you turn down BBQ Chicken Bacon Tacos?! Once I spotted this deliciousness on the menu, I knew I had to rearrange my lunch plans and give Chomp'z a shot. I hadn't heard of Chomp'z before which leads me to believe they're relatively new to the food truck game. From first glance, it's hard to pinpoint what kind of food they're known for. The name (and the truck) doesn't provide any indication but after reviewing the menu it appears that tacos, fries and nachos are their thing. Yum! The prices were reasonable for the portion size, however, my tacos that I had been dreaming about all morning came out cold. Such a disappointment! The fried onion ring in the taco was the coldest part, which made the taco weird to eat because of the texture of the cold breading. They were still good but definitely would've been much better if served warm. The nachos were served warm and were decent as well - nothing extraordinary. I would like to give 5 stars for customer service though, everyone was so friendly!Overall Verdict: I don't regret getting Chomp'z for lunch but will likely consider other options first next time.

The Statehouse Market, a weekly farmer's market that sets up in the plaza at the Indiana Government Center on Thursdays during the lunch hour throughout the summer, welcomed a new truck to their scene this week - Chomp'z Truck. Having not heard of Chomp'z and always wanting to try something new, I quickly browsed their menu that included a hand-breaded tenderloin sandwich, grilled chicken teriyaki tacos, BBQ chicken bacon tacos, and chicken bacon ranch tacos with prices ranging from $8-9 and the ability to add fries with a meal for $3. They offered sides of fries for $4 or cole slaw for $2 along with the usual $1 drinks (water/soft drinks). It's not really clear how long Chomp'z has been around. My sense is that they are relatively new,as in under six months, and their website is fairly primitive at this point and even the truck design is pretty straightforward. The employee that I met was super friendly and appreciative of my giving their truck a chance, especially with a statehouse market that tends to have several other options including the area's most popular trucks. The truth is that I'm always a touch cynical with the whole breaded tenderloin scene and finding a good one on food trucks. I have a friend who writes a tenderloin blog, though, and I'm always looking to steer him to a new possibility. While I did, in fact, tell him about Chomp'z last night, my overall impression was that the sandwich was pretty middle of the road. First of all, yes, it truly is a hand-breaded tenderloin. That's a beautiful thing in a world where some of Indy's most acclaimed tenderloins are nothing more than fritters. It comes on a standard issue bun (Boring!) with lettuce and tomato. They offer you options like mayo, mustard, etc. I tend to have a fairly fragile system and avoid a lot of the usual veggie toppings because, weirdly enough, I'm allergic to a lot of them. The meat was far bigger than the bun, pounded a touch thinner than I usually like as it tends to leave a couple tougher spots, but the slightly peppery flavor was nice and the texture was enjoyable. I noticed that the bun got kind of soggy rather quickly, though it wasn't unbearably so. I enjoyed the tenderloin. At $8, it's on par with what one expects from a food truck in terms of price and it was a nice alternative to the massively over-rated Edwards Drive-In. It wasn't the best tenderloin I've had in Indy by a long shot, but I enjoyed it and would likely order it again. I didn't order fries and can't speak to their quality. I can say that the folks at Chomp'z were friendly and the food was served quickly. Given the statehouse market largely serves those on their lunch hour, it's always nice when you don't have to spend 30 minutes waiting on food. It was a chilly day, slightly rainy and not the greatest day for a market debut but it was nice to see this newbie on the scene and I look forward to their continued presence and hopefully being able to up their score a notch in the future.

The best food truck I've had! All staff were observing Covid-19 protocol too! Anyone that respects my airspace, as I theirs is awesome!! The food choices are delicioso and endless. I gave 5 stars because a few dishes are a little pricey for what you get. I could not even finish my chicken nachos the portion was so big. My son ordered firecracker tacos and the 2-small tacos had him lunging at my nachos!!! Lol I will definitely be getting food when I hear Chompz is in the area!

I'm pretty sure I told everyone in a quarter mile radius how good these tacos were. Seriously. Don't bother with the nachos (meh)... run, don't walk, to the truck and order all the firecracker tacos you can eat. Crispy chicken, cheese, fried jalapeños, and a homemade sriracha sauce that married it all together. Two are plenty, but you're going to want more.

Chomp'z came to the school I work at and I was very impressed! Was able to email my order to them a few days ahead of time which made it so nice to run out, grab my order and enjoy my food in the 30 minutes I had between classes! The tacos and nachos are exceptional, I wish they would come at least once a week.... do not miss the opportunity to have them come to your place of business or to have them cater for you. The service is amazing and the food is awesome!

Food truck day at work again! Which is always a good day! Chomp'z Truck I have always heard about but never had the chance to try, and I've not run into them at a first Friday or anything like that. The truck is sleek and black with green details and the people are really friendly! I was impressed they had such a happy attitude on such a hot day! There are a lot of different choices of tacos and you can add slaw as well! Which sounds like an interesting taco combination but it works! Thankfully they also have coke products which made me very happy.I decided on 2 different tacos which thankfully you can mix and match, to get a variety of choices, the buffalo chicken was tasty, and to have it as fried chicken was a different flavor combination. My second taco was the firecracker I liked having the jalapenos with chicken, something I had never experienced before. The whole truck is very reasonably priced so id say check them out if you have the chance they do not disappoint
