Had a great tour today at Chelsea Village. The units are nicely updated, neighborhood seemed calm and quiet and greatly cared for. You can tell that they take great care and pride in their community and their residents. Sydney and Jessica were both so kind, helpful, and very informative! The property manager, Cody, came out to introduce himself as well! The level of detail and care that was shown during my tour left me with an amazing impression not just with the community, but with the compassion that the leasing team has for the residence and property as a whole. Thank you all for the tour and I cannot wait to be a resident!

Chelsea Village is the first place I have ever lived in Indianapolis. I'm from Bloomington originally and moved here in July 2017 when I was forced to switch jobs. At first glance we (husband and I) loved what we saw. We had looked at at least 10-15 other places and felt comfortable enough with this one to sign for a one bedroom right away, which we hadn't felt with anywhere else. The staff was friendly and the grounds themselves are well maintained which is always a good sign. I knew that once we settled the new location/new home fascination would wear off, and it did, but I'm still super happy with this place. There have been issues (me and a couple of my neighbors were robbed in late 2017 but nothing like that has happened since. (I think whoever did it either got caught in another area or spooked by the on-site sheriff who lives in the apartments.) It IS Indianapolis though and break-ins happen everyday everywhere. The staff did replace my door that was kicked in and the locks smashed off with a more sturdy feeling door and installed stronger hardware. I don't particularly like going outside alone at night, but that is pretty much everywhere in Indy for me as I'm 5'2" and not exactly strong. I do have to leave the house at night alone sometimes of course though and I've never had any reason to believe that anything bad was going to happen and have never had anyone bother me. They have a clubhouse with the usual things and a pool, but neither is open 24/7. This doesn't bother us because we don't really have any use for it anyway, but if you are the type who needs amenities galore it's better to look somewhere closer to downtown in student living. The community itself is very quiet which I love and I've never had issues with noise from anyone- even though it's literally the 4th of July today! It is also kind of hidden off of Emily Drive in its own little neighborhood in a way and I like not being on a main road and that the community is separate from others (Pickwick is the community beside Chelsea and it's a dump but they are separated by a gate and some space.)Maintenance is good. We haven't had many problems but the ones we have had were resolved promptly. The maintenance supervisor is super nice and friendly (although I've forgotten his name) and is fun to talk to and usually hanging around. Management is really responsive to requests and emails (I haaaaate talking on the phone so I communicate pretty much only via email to them unless I come into the office) and they haven't seemed judgmental when we've paid our rent late when we were struggling a lot- still friendly as usual! They seem like genuinely nice people. I don't know about the corporation as a whole, but Justin and Mindy are the managers here and are both awesome. The apartments themselves are well maintained and I have no complaints at all with them. The walls aren't too thin either which is nice because I've had that issue with a lot of other apartments in the past. Our A/C/heat works great too and is central air. I may add more later because I'm starting to ramble but I really like it here and would recommend it to anyone with or without a family who wants to live within the 465 loop but feel like you're living outside of it. Neighbors pretty much keep to themselves and a lot of them have young children who take the bus to school, so it's definitely family friendly. It's also less than five minutes from Walmart, two minutes from Kroger, and it takes about 7-9 minutes to get onto the interstate from the parking lot! The main reason I am leaving is to be closer to school so I don't have to drive an extra hour everyday. If my situation changed in the future I'd definitely have no qualms about moving back and am sad to leave. Definitely recommend!!

We highly recommend Chelsea Village Apartments! Initially, we were looking for a two-bedroom in northwest Indy to make my commute to Purdue a little easier. We checked out The Lakes Apartments, Summerwood on Towneline, Willow Lake Apartments, Oak Lake At Crooked Creek, and Chelsea Village Apartments, and we found the Chelsea Village to be the best fit for us! It's tucked away from the hustle and bustle of 86th Street, but conveniently located to 465 and 65. The maintenance and management are top notch! The neighborhood is fairly quiet and a mix between families and couples. The grounds are well kept year-round. The grass is always mowed in the spring, summer and fall, and during the winter months, I never had an issue getting in our out of a parking space due to snow or ice. The sidewalks were always salted and shoveled, and the streets in the area were always plowed and salted before and after winter storms. When we lived their, the management had a monthly newsletter and hosted a monthly event, such as wine tastings or an 80's themed block party held in the club house. Maintenance requests were always addressed within 24 hours. The area is conveniently located to EVERYTHING. COSTCO is right down the street on Michigan Road; Planet Fitness, Home Depot, Target, Whole Foods, Trader Joe, Meijer, Kroger and shopping malls are all close by. Getting into downtown Indy is an easy drive. We usually took 86th Street to Meridian, the scenic route :) This was a wonderful place to live and we would've renewed our lease if I hadn't gotten a better job offer in Massachusetts.

I have lived at Chelsea Village for about a month now and the apartment itself is okay but the little things that are not perfect drive me crazy. Like paint on the edges of the carpet because they were not careful when they repainted before I moved in, the mirrors on the wall have chips in them from the previous renter and the bathroom walls look like they have bubbles because of the paint. One cool feature is in the kitchen there is a wall plug in with USB ports, personally though, I would have preferred that in the bedroom. I always have a parking spot right in front of my building, it doesn't matter if I come home at 2 pm or 10 pm. The patio outside of my living room is fenced in which is good for my dog and the maintenance staff said that we can do whatever we like out there. We could plant a small garden or put out a patio set. For a first apartment, it is a pretty good deal for the price. Only strange thing is that the lease length is 15 months and mine is up the week before Christmas. Overall I would give Chelsea Village a 8/10 I just wish there was a gym or at least a basketball or tennis court.

I've lived in Chelsea Village for a year and been very happy with it. The facilities are well-maintained, the area is nice, the staff are friendly, and the maintenance team is excellent and responsive. The apartments and town houses are in great condition and reasonably modern for the price. I couldn't really ask for better in the area and the price range. Highly recommended!

This neighborhood was decent until they partnered with a college. Every weekend college kids are out yelling and partying around until 5am trashing the neighborhood. Parking has become an issue because of all the college kids crammed into the town homes . I've lived here for over 10 years and this is the worst it's been . Cars are hit often and broken into because of the college kids as well . It's not a family oriented neighborhood anymore . We've all complained to the manger Cody and he doesn't care because he doesn't have to live next to them . Don't move here . Rent here is way too high for all the nightly disturbances .

This has to be the absolute worst place I've ever lived. The office staff (Sydney and Jessica) and property manager (Cody) are rude and unprofessional. They will not enforce the rules of the community or terms of lease. Your car will be blocked in by neighbors, staff and contractors on a daily basis and they will not do anything about it. The maintenance staff regularly parks company vehicles in disabled parking without permits and they allow contractors to do the same. Noisy construction at early morning hours will happen unannounced. Water shut offs happened monthly, if not multiple times a month, always an "emergency".Our AC went out in the middle of summer and we had to wait for the "on call" maintenance person to come after hours- we were told we had to wait until his (college aged)son's baseball game was over before he would come. It was HOURS.If you raise concerns with the office staff too often you will be viewed as a problem and threatened with lease violation. When our lives and our neighbors' lives were threatened by a guest of a resident, the office proceeded to warn us that causing a disturbance will be a lease violation- even after the police report was submitted showing the guest was at fault.Resident Relations is also unhelpful, failing to answer our questions and eventually just not responding all together. Regional Property Manager (Jenny) couldn't be bothered to help with any of this, even after being played a recording of the maintenance supervisor (Mark) and office staff (Sydney) verbally attacking a resident.

Do not move here unless you like parking a mile from your apartment. There is no assigned parking and some residents will have so many guests over they are taking up 15 spots just for their one townhome. When you bring it up to the office all they say is there aren't any assigned spots. Since the office chooses to do nothing about it animosity between neighbors is at an all time high. I witnessed one resident get in a vicious argument over parking with guests who were visiting. I can only assume the office did not care as usual because she moved out shortly after. It's sad when residents have to worry when they get home from second shift and not having a spot because other residents lack common courtesy and have tons of guests over taking up all the parking.
