I ordered from this spot in the city market initially because it had the shortest line. I went with a loaded hot dog but couldn't narrow what I wanted on it. The owner was very helpful in advising me what to order. I ordered the loaded hotdog and chose to add: pulled pork, cheese, tomatoes, onions, barbecue and ranch sauce. The hot dog provided a nice snap when you bite into it but the toppings were the real stars of the show. The pulled pork was flavorful and savory and the onions and tomatoes complimented it well. There are a lot of options offered on the menu. If you're ever in the city market check this place out.

Good spot at the City Market. Not long ago I had lunch at Chef Wuan's, ordering a pulled pork sandwich with fries. Pork was tender and flavorful, bun was slightly toasted, honey mustard had the right amount of sweet n' tanginess, and fries were cooked and seasoned just right. Some reviewers have noted long wait times, which fortunately wasn't the case during my stop. The chef/server had an upbeat demeanor, and the booth appears well kept and clean.Keep it up, Chef Wuan's!

This joint is located in the City Market. It is part of the Indianapolis Black Chamber of Commerce's SOUL of the City program, in conjunction with Bank of America. The program provides space for 4 first time Black business owners. The restaurant is not well marked, but is located right under the big "Soul of the City" banner and has a bunch of blue and white ballons to mark its location.Being that it is located in City Market, there is a lot of metered parking within a reasonable walking distance and there are a few commercial garages available as well. The restaurant has a compact menu, but it all sounds so good. I had to wait a bit, about 12 minutes, to place my order because there was only one guy working and was preparing the orders of 3 people that were there before me. He was taking orders up front and cooking in the back. He was very friendly though. I ordered a sloppy joe grilled cheese with tots. I saw that they had peach cobbler and had to get it. Once I ordered, it took about 10 minutes for me to get my food. You can sit in the Market's indoor dining area that is located on the upper level or at one of the tables in the outdoor courtyard. It was a nice day, so I decided to eat outside.I never had a sloppy joe grilled cheese and it was delicious. Very flavorful. I highly recommend it. The tots were good. They were slightly overcooked for my taste though. The peach cobbler was amazing though. It was one of the best I have had in a long time.A 4.5 star rating is more appropriate for this restaurant, but that is not an option and it is closer to a 4 than a 5. It could easily be a 5 star joint if they work on cutting down the time it takes to place orders during peak times. I love the concept of the program that the restaurant falls under. They have some very delicious comfort food. I highly recommend checking this spot out and supporting this business.

Chef Wuan has done it again!!!! His food is AMAZING!!! Excellent presentation, fresh hot food and the taste is....finger licking good. My pulled pork sandwich was sooooo good along with sweet and spicy barbecue sauce on the side .Go check out Chef Wuan in the City Market. Your food is made to order so it is piping hot. You may have to wait a few minutes, but it is worth it. His menu is never the same, which is a good thing. Variety in life is good. Support small businesses!!!!Support Chef Wuan !!!!

I stopped at City Market in the late morning and Chef Wuan's Kitchen was one of the few places still open. A quick scan of the menu and I knew what I wanted. After ordering, was advised it'd be about 10 minutes. Chef Wuan was the only person working and he hopped into the back and got to work! We roamed for desserts while waiting for our food. When our food was ready, it was fresh and smelled so good! I got the grilled cheese floppy joe with fries and little sister got the twisted fish tacos with tater tots. That sloppy joe tastes like my mom's Friday night sloppy joe- a throwback in my mouth. The bread was thick, crispy, and buttery, with melted cheese that held it all together. Heck to the yea! The fries were meh. Basic fries. But paired with the sand which, they did the job. Will def be back!

Amazing! Amazing! Great addition to city market. It was a little longer of a wait but, the people in front me ordered a lot of food. For being by himself at the time it was not bad at all! Worth every second and penny!

I wanted to like this place, but the service is pretty bad. I have been here waiting for a grilled cheese for 30 minutes. I'm still waiting.

We waited 45 minutes for loaded tater tot fries and a side of fries.... to then get no tater tots! Pulled pork was cold on top of the chicken and he was the cook and cashier. We were very disappointed!

This is a new place inside the city market, doesn't look like much when you walk past, but I haven't had a bad thing there! Chef Wuan (I'm assuming) is always so nice and greats you with a smile. The pulled chicken sandwich with BBQ sauce (he has others to choose from) and sloppy Joe grilled cheese are both great! The chicken has a lot of flavor!
