Chateau In the Woods Apts

Don't live here. Plain and simple. Management is rude and unresponsive, property is old, lots of maintenance issues and a very small unresponsive maintenance crew. The old management used to do a better job with maintenance, this new crew is terrible.Good things: location, size of apartment.

I've lived here 10 years, not 10 months. so I think i can offer a pretty good assessment of what it's really like. These apartments are affordable for the amount of space given. And they're in a fairly safe and scenic area of Indy - close to the Monon, Broad Ripple, Casteton Square mall, etc. The grounds are well kept with lots of mature trees. Heather, the manager, is very friendly and attentive. I recently had a refrigerator go out and they replaced it with a new one within 3 days. My car died back the '14 January freeze. Maintenance guy named Eric was right there and jumped my car and got me going. Good people, in general. Only thing is you can't have pets, (the furry kind any way). Give this place a look if you're in the market for a new apartment.Edit 4/29/17: Moved out after 10.5 years because I bought a house.. I got my deposit back and everything no problem. Just take care of the apartment and follow the move out steps and you'll get your deposit back.

This place is a JOKE. I would give it no stars if I could. I moved into a spacious 3 bedroom apartment that I thought was amazing. Management seemed great. Not long after we moved in management changed and the whole place went to shit. The company will only let 1 leasing agent work there. So if she's showing an apartment or has tasks to do the office is closed. Aka the office is CONSTANTLY CLOSED. Also, a few months in we had a water leak. Our carpets were SOAKED. After MULTIPLE calls to maintenance, it took them over a month to come look at the problem. From there we had 3 industrial sized fans constantly going in our apartment for over a month . We were advised not to turn them off or move them. We couldn't even sit in our living room because it was so loud we couldn't hear. After about a month they took the fans out but the apartment flooded more and MOLD began to grow on our carpet, walls, and furniture. Also the apartment above us had a leak which caused black mold in our ceiling. After 3 months of this and maintenance telling us the issue was caused by something different EVERY TIME and the only solution they tried was the fans, I finally threatened to call the health department if they didn't give me a discount on rent or break my lease. They chose to break my lease and let us leave. Today - 9/9/18, I received mail from chateau in the woods stating we owed them $50 FOR CLEANING the apartment. THEY ARE CHARGING US FOR CLEANING THE MOLD RIDDEN FLOODED APARTMENT WE WERE FORCED TO LIVE IN. This is completely wrong of them considering I badgered them for MONTHS to get this issues taken care of. The letter also stated we needed to pay by 8/31 or it was going to collections... I did not receive it until AFTER the due date.My car was broken into 4 times and there were multiple domestic disputes and police visits in the neighborhood due to fighting and more. DO NOT rent here. The apartments may be big for the price but they are falling apart and management is ridiculous.

Affordable & convenient apartment located close to Castleton, Keystone, the fairgrounds & Broad Ripple.I had a friend live here 2 years ago, and after visiting his place a few times I looked into living here when I last moved. I'm going into my 5th month of living here, and I have to say it is still a great complex.My neighbors are around 25-40 years old, and never too loud or crazy. The inside hallway locks, and there is a buzzer system to let visitors in. The parking lot fills up pretty quickly each night, but clears out somewhat on Friday nights. It's full again on Sunday by 7:00PM.The property manager Morgan knew me by name after only a month of living here, so that was really cool. She's been quick to help out with all needs. We submitted a maintenance request at 10:00AM, and it was completed before 2:00PM that same day,

the service, is great. Location, is everything. the best bet for your money! The best complex, for your money in indianapolis!!! BE SURE AND CHECK THEM OUT!!!
