Food and atmosphere were freaking awesome. I absolutely loved the lights in the dining room, and the homey-ness of the bar. Such a hidden gem. Service was also very friendly and made it a great experience overall :)

Our friends own property close to the bar and was telling us the tenderloin was delicious so we all decided to walk over to the bar for dinner. The bar is conveniently located close to the lake and a nice spot to visit after a day on the lake and there are many bikers that visit during or after their rides. This is what I'd considered a nice dive bar. The interior and furniture is dark wood to create the cozy lodge atmosphere. As you enter the bar to the right is a large bar and a small seating area with all tall-top seating. To the left is a large room with a pool table and some tall-top tables. Walking through the bar and to the right is a large room for live music, karoke and darts with many tables and chairs. I think the bartender said before the virus they had karoke on Friday nights with live music on Saturdays and hoped to offer that again soon. When we stopped in they had only been reopened about two weeks due to Covid-19 and was afraid the powers that be were going to force restaurants to close again soon. For that reason the owner hadn't ordered food yet just liquor/drinks. So we weren't able to try the tenderloins but we did enjoy ourselves having a variety of beers and drinks. The menu had a nice selection of typical bar food and everyone I spoke with said it was good. The bartender was extremely nice, answered many questions and made us feel welcome. She explained with the current virus conditions she wasn't sure when they'd return to live music and karoke so call ahead if that is the reason you're visiting. We will definitely be back to sample the tenderloins and a few of their other sandwiches. The owner made us feel so welcomed and was very kind. Stop in if you're in the area.

Food was delicious. Great stop on the way to the camper for lunch. Tenderloins are hand breaded and so are the chicken fingers. Band playing on the weekends. We will definitely be back. Laid back atmosphere.

I moved to the area at the beginning of Covid and had been waiting for the right time to check out the Cataract Lake Lodge. The girlfriend and I finally decided that tonight was the night. We arrived at approximately 9:30p. There was a live band playing and they sounded pretty good. The plan is dinner and drinks. We find a table near the bar, after a few minutes of waiting, I decide this isn't the kind of place where a waitress is going to come by, so I approach the bar and request a menu. The older woman behind the bar tells me that the kitchen is closed, that they closed at 10pm. I look at the time on my phone, it's not ten yet but don't make a fuss and return to my table to discuss this development with my girlfriend. While we are making dinner plans, which included a plan to return for a nightcap after finding dinner, we see an old couple approach the bar. The waitress turns to them and asks if they would like to place a to-go order with the kitchen. I'm dumbfounded. But try to write it off as maybe this is something special for a regular. A couple more minutes pass, and a man comes out of a back room and bellows "Last call for the kitchen". Now, I'm pissed. It seems that we have simply been denied service. The whole time we are less than five feet from the bar. The bartender does not offer to rectify the situation. We find another local place to eat, and are about to stand to leave when a very drunken man stumbles into the small table we are sitting at and tumbles to the floor. I hop up and offer him a hand and am waved away. An awkward few moments later, the bartenders help him up and outside. We leave. As we get into our car to head to our dinner, we see, to our shock that they are helping the man who can hardly walk to his car. He is easily twice over the legal limit. He can't even hardly walk, and they just poured this man behind the wheel of his car. We did not go back for that nightcap. We will not be attempting this bar again. I don't even like that my way home has me passing it each day, given that they have no qualms about thier guests leaving behind the wheel in such a state.
