Best Mexican food in Indianapolis. Incredible service with happy people. What makes the ambiance is this feels like Mexico, the food, entertainment, everything is amazing. The restaurant is in the back. Food is authentic hot spicy good. I lived in Mexico I know.

This is a review for the restaurant, not the store. I went here for the first time. I passed by this place many times but the building didn't look so inviting (to me). But let me tell you I liked the experience. They serve chips and salsa first, like any other Mexican restaurants but the salsa was not the typical one. It was green one and a red sauce and they were both very spicy. I saw something similar in a restaurant in Mexico City before, so it felt more authentic. they have GOOD tacos! I tried the asada tacos and they came with a lot of cilantro, onions and limes (just how I like it) and they were so delicioso!I was sad to see that some things like barbacoa were weekend-only. So I need to go back on a weekend. Service was very attentive and friendly.

Service was friendly/ welcoming and pretty quick! The only thing is when we walked in, we couldn't anyone in the front to seat us. It seemed we went at a very slow time. Either way it wasn't much of a wait as soon as we got someone's attention. Would be helpful to have someone waiting in the front area at all times so when guests do walk in, they're greeted correctly. Aside from that, the food was tasty the tacos were not dry, the meat was pull apart tender, the tortillas were bit to thick for my liking, food was seasoned well too! You come here for authentic Mexican food and I was 100% satisfied with the food and ambiance. Felt like I was visiting another country that's how awesome they did with the decor!

This is 100% genuine Mexican cuisine. It tastes exactly like the meals I've had in Mexico. Not an Americanized version.Staff is perfect. They're attentive without being bothersome. The interior decor is basically a movie set for an authentic Mexican street area. I love looking around.Do not skip on this place. It's an amazing experience.

I've been to both the Pike Plz Rd and Oliver Avenue locations, but never dined in at the restaurant until this evening. I'm not sure why I've waited, because I've been missing out! My pastor enchiladas rojas were delicious, though I probably should have used the verde sauce to compliment the pork. I also ordered a "side" of rice and beans that could have easily been an entree in themselves because it was massive. Altogether, the meal was $14 and lasted me 2.5 meals. Fantastic value for the money. It helps if you can speak Spanish when ordering at the restaurant or at the meat counter, but staff are always friendly and polite as we work through any language barriers. The grocery store aisles are always organized and well-stocked. Bonus is that every time I come, I can get my favorite tortillas and chips--El Milagro--that I can't seem to find anywhere else.

In the back of the grocery store, passed the butcher shop their is large restaurant and full bar - with the nicest group of people serving their guest! Everyone we spoke w/was friendly and welcoming, we will be back to dine in but we had been out all day so we took our food to go.I had 3 tacos and a side of rice, totaling about $13 - price was perfect and the food was alright, would love to try other dishes on the menu!

So let me tell ya if you've never tried this place to dine in it's Indy's hidden gem.. the food is plentiful and the service is quick and the atmosphere is authentic Mexican (not as if I would know) but it seems pretty authentic to me! And they're alcoholic drinks are not to be played with.. when you ask for margaritas just know that is what you're going to get not watered down at all! And don't let the grocery store throw you off the restaurant is in back of the store!

First off the grocery store alone is amazing. Wall to wall produce, the longest meat counter I have ever seen and a bakery to die for. The restaurant is very inexpensive. I got a chorizo Torta. It literally had an entire avocado on it. The chorizo was not the best I have ever had so I probably wouldn't get that again. Service was on point. I felt like I was eating at a restaurant on vacation.

Food and price were great! Authentic and big portions! Keep in mind that if you do go in there, there might be a language barrier if you don't speak Spanish. Service was fast as well! Great music snd entertainment, there was even someone who would do balloon animals for the kids.
