This tiny shop has delicious deli sandwiches. There are only a few seats inside with a hard working team of 2. The bread is soft and warm and delicious. They are using the freshest ingredients such as spring mix and farm tomatoes. They also use Boar's Head deli meat. Great variety of sandwiches. Enjoyed it so much we went twice! Must stop lunch spot in Indy.

Cafe Olivia is a transplant to the Regions Tower from the City Market and the folks that run it really know how to handle lunch. The cajun slaw turkey sandwich is really nice and has a decent spicy kick. Cafe Olivia is a good stop for a quick sandwich.

A City Market must try!I recently dropped by for a meal. My first choice, a shrimp po' boy, was sold out. The lady behind the counter was quick to recommend the chicken sandwich. Her enthusiasm is certainly admirable. After re-reviewing the menu, I ultimately took her advice. Topped with a unique flavored coleslaw between French style bread, it was nothing short of delicious!A staple eatery in the good ol' City Market that's well worth trying!

Cafe Olivia has some of my (and my coworkers') favorite sandwiches in the City Market! Since COVID, they also started doing breakfast sandwiches that they serve all day that are a great value, easy to eat, and absolutely delicious! My all-time fave is the li'talian which I think has changed names recently but is basically an italian sub sandwich. It is SO GOOD, I crave it all the time. The bread is wrapped in wax paper so it doesn't drip and get all messy. The bread is great, the ingredients are great, the seasonings are great. And the employees are so nice and speedy. What more could you want for a quick lunch bite downtown at the Indy CM!?

This is one of many diamond in the roughs tucked away in the City Market. The restaurant's menu is a little rough with papers everywhere. But don't let that distract you from the good food and service there. I ordered the patty melt, and it was very tasty. The line can get a bit long during the lunch rush, but it is worth the wait (10-15 minutes to get food). I love their potato salad too. I saw there was a well stocked salad bar there, but if you could not tell by now, I am not a salad kind of guy. If I was, I were I would definitely give that bar a shot.

I grabbed a bowl of Red Beans and Rice from here and it was tasty, warm and filling. They have based their recipe on one of Emeril Lagasses. They don't try to conceal that fact. It's right there on the menu. The gravy was anchored in the holy trinity of onions, celery and green peppers. It was smooth and rich with Cajun spices: I know I tasted a bit of thyme and I got the heat of cayenne powder. There were at least two types of meat in there. Perhaps a type of sausage and some ham. The pieces of meat where finely sliced into tiny little triangles almost the same size as the red beans. It was all ladled over a huge bed of white rice. This is so satisfyingly delicious. I have been trying to make an effort to support little Mom & Pop places during this time and I'll be back soon.

I think I took more time making up my mind than this restaurant took to make my lunch! When you walk up to the booth, there are banners with food (mostly sandwiches) listings along the entire length of the booth. There is also a substantial salad bar along the north side of the booth which can be tempting too!I finally settled on the Cubano sandwich (Pork, Ham, cheese, mustard, & pickle) with a side of cole slaw. I grabbed a napkin from the counter and went to the south end of the booth to A) get out of the way of the new orders, and B) find the pick up counter. Before long, they called the last two numbers on my ticket I received after paying. A plastic fork was included in the styrofoam container. Note that they have a self serve soda dispenser that you can do while waiting too.I took my order upstairs and grabbed a spot in the balcony of City Market. The sandwich was about 6" overall and sliced on a slight bias, wrapped in deli paper to keep the handling clean. I thought the bread and sandwich ingredients were quite good, but not the best I've had. They used sliced ham and pieces of pork not uniformly carved to make the meat of the sandwich. The bread was fresh and had a nice bite texture without being toasted. One thing I particularly liked was a surprise in the slaw that it had some heat to it. I'm used to slaw being either tangy from a vinegar/sugar base or being creamy. This was on the less creamy side and the bit of heat was a pleasant change from the usually cool taste I get from slaw. I definitely recommend it if you like trying something different.Overall, efficient service and good food without taking up your whole lunch hour to get your food.Review #1966

I visited Cafe Olivia for the first time and didn't know what to order. The sweet lady suggested the "Shrimp Po'Boy" and that was such a good idea! It was fantastic and I ate it so fast I had no leftovers! Or pictures. It's also housed in the Indy city market which is such a cool building with awesome vendors.
