"I've been coming to Stone Creek since it opened more than 20 years ago. The food and service are consistently delicious and the restaurant is beautiful inside, filled with art. I received an email from Cunningham Group yesterday, who owns a series of restaurants, inviting me to come for a birthday desert. Who could turn down that offer? We made reservations. We arrived and sat at their beautiful bar. I had a Goose martini that was cold and delicious. I had the Shrimp & Linguine, which arrived hot with lots of Parmesan cheese. The shrimp were large and cooked perfectly. The sauce is a wonderful blend of spices and garlic. The asparagus was super fresh and tender. I ate every morsel. My husband had the Spicy Chicago Beef Sandwich with Parmesan fries. The sandwich is huge on a hoagie roll stacked with a generous portion of spicy beef. He devoured the entire meal. The complimentary bread comes with the best tomato infused dipping oil, that keeps me coming back. The bread is hot and fresh. True to the email, I was offered any desert on the menu and chose the Cream Brûlée, which is amazing. Creamy, smooth with a dollop of real whipped cream. John, the bartender was attentive and had our orders in quickly. John went above and beyond to make my birthday special. I've trusted Stone Creek for most of our family celebrations and even hosted work events in their private room upstairs. Monday-Friday, they offer Happy Hour specials and have an Early Bird menu. Make reservations if you're coming peak hours. There's plenty of parking and everything is handicapped accessible."
"Finding an elegant and delicious place to dine in rural areas of Illinois can be tricky, but this place would exceed your expectations even in a larger city! We have eaten there several times enjoying their balsamic steak salad, caprese chicken, and other entrees -- all were very good. The service was exceptional and warm. They make a great ole fashion as well. Don't miss an opportunity for a nice meal at a fair price"

"Excellent food and service. Menu is excellent..sushi as well. Fish .. fried rice. Japanese beer."
"Had a lovely dinner here! Love the cozy moody ambiance, giving haunted mansion vibes. The cocktails are very good; ordered the old fashion twice (one of the best I've had)! For appetizers, we had the baked Brie and the lobster cocktail - both were very yummy (although I would suggest a softer bread). Ordered the center cut filet for dinner and was really good quality beef - perfectly cooked and seasoned. For sides, we had the broccolini and drunken mushrooms. The whole meal was a real treat! Would definitely come back! Wonderful for a romantic dinner with loved ones."
"We came here w some friends. First off no credit cards so make sure you have cash. Our server was super polite. Got our drinks right out to us. The menu ranges from $3 for a grilled cheese to $30 steaks. I had the tenderloin which was ok but I wouldn't order it again. My daughter had the 6 oz filet and she said it was delicious. My other daughter had the fried chicken and she said that was good. My husband had the a prime Rib and did not like it. He said it was tough. We might come back. It has a local small town feel. I would rather give my money to restaurants like this than a chain."
"The food is incredible. The loaded baked potatoes with bbq pulled pork are to die for. I think about them way more often than I'd like to admit, haha! In terms of gluten free options, your best bet is to order sandwiches without the buns or stick to potato-based meals or salads. They have a full bar with seemingly endless options. This place isn't the nicest on the inside, and it smells extremely strong of smoke. With that being said, it is a bar, so that is a bit expected. It's just not a very classy place, which is fine if you go into that expecting it!"
"We had an exceptional experience for our first time at SOB! Our server, Matt, was very knowledgable about the steaks and gave us great recommendations for each course. We ultimately went with the Japanese crab cakes for an appetizer, the domestic wagyu filet, the Brussel sprouts, the au gratin potatoes, and the go bananas dessert. All of it was phenomenal, though our winners were definitely the crab cakes, steak, and bananas dessert; we found both side dishes to be a bit oily. From start to finish, our dining experience did take about 2.5 hours due to a large party that night, and the wait for food felt a bit long because there wasn't music playing for most of the time we were there. The friendliness of the waiter and the quality of the food will have us returning!"
"Reliable and sometimes, sublime, the Philly cheese steak is truly a good sandwich. The wings are good but don't leave without hot sauce. It's a safe enough place by light, but be cool if you show up there at 1145 pm. You're a visitor, be f'ing cool and don't hassle the neighborhood folks."
"Friendly and unique local place. Down home food for reasonable prices. Interesting decor and definitely a "local" place if you're in the area. We came in a Sunday morning and it took 30 min at least to get our food. We weren't in a hurry but it felt long, so if you don't have a lot of time you won't want to come during a busy time. They were apologetic and the kitchen was busy."
"We are from out of town so first time here. We had 20 in our party and they were able to get us in and handle the large party with ease. Melissa was our server and she was great. If we lived here we would most definitely be back. Give them a try."
"A locally owned and operated steak house. Conveniently located on the east side of town. This place has a wonderfully attended salad bar. The food is terrific. Prime Rib is the best in town. Friendly staff and clean restaurant."
"Tried Rivertown for the first time while in town. Food was mediocre. The burger was OK. It tasted like a froze. Patty- I don't know that it is- just on the same par. It had a very strong pepper taste. I ordered it without the bun. Our party had the Ruben as well and it was ok- it was compared to Arby's and Arby's winning. The positives: service was GREAT! Our waitress was very nice, friendly and attentive. It was reported that the crawfish étouffée was "very good." The dill ranch was good as well! It was pretty quiet and there was only one other table. I could see it being a fun place to have a drink or two and meet up with a friend. If you're looking for a place with good atmosphere and service and don't really care about quality of food, this place is right on par!"

While in town for work, my group put me in charge of finding our dinner option. This place had excellent reviews, so we decided to check it out. Our server was Carlos, and he was excellent. He really took the time to answer our group's questions. I had the sirloin steak, and it was excellent. It comes with baked potato and asparagus. It was a little oily, so that would be my only criticism. Also pictured is the house bread. It has sundried tomatoes (unfortunately, I am unable to eat, but the group said it was tasty). Carrot cake (3 of my colleagues ended up splitting because of the size!) They said it was really tasty. The restaurant looks dark on the outside, but they are open! Friendly service, I would recommend if in the area!

I was looking forward to checking out River Oaks in downtown Madison. I've eaten at their sister restaurant in North Vernon and it was excellent, so I had pretty high expectations of River Oaks. Upon entering the restaurant, there were multiple empty tables. We were greeted by the hostess who began to take us to a back room. When we inquired about sitting towards the front of the restaurant, we were told that was not an option. Those were for people with reservations. We had reservations, scheduled our reservation over 3 weeks ago. So....not sure. The back room felt like an afterthought, overflow at best. It was stuffy and the tables were too close together. Our table on the day of the KY Derby. A large TV was hung on the wall but staff indicated the TV was broke and not operating. The restaurant just opened..... The food, we ordered 2 sharables and all carte steaks. One person ordered 12 oz filet cooked medium-well and his steak was more medium, all pink. Another person ordered the ribeye to be cooked to medium rare, which was good. Crispy on the outside, pink on the inside. I ordered a 12 oz filet cooked medium, my steak was raw on the inside. Not warm, cold and raw. I ate the outsides of it the filet as those were cooked more. No no one came back to ask us how our food was until the end of the meal. At that point, I asked for a box. We ordered creamed corn which was great and cacio brussels which was nothing special. Some brussel sprouts were too hard, some were too mushy. There was a little bit of charred brussel leaves at the bottom of the bowl; those were really good. Needed more seasonings. If River Oaks is trying to be a serious steakhouse, they need improve the experience. River Oaks prices the food like its a steakhouse; we spent $80/person (or $240 total). Other steakhouses with similar price points offer bread, salad, and have a much better ambiance.

The service great. Our waitress was so sweet and helpful and gave her honest opinion on the menu options. We ordered the short rib croquette (needed seasoning but was ok), the potato soup (very white cheddar heavy) which we didn't like, the salmon (very good), and sea bass which was also good. The restaurant was clean and romantic and I'd go back again.

My husband and I have been on a mission to hit eateries in the area surrounding Crawfordsville. We stopped at the New Ross Steak House on a Friday night to enjoy good food and a friendly environment. This steak house definitely has a small town feel. You can look around and see which locals are probably their regulars. We shared the fried cheese balls appetizer. I loved it! They were little balls of deliciousness that were served with a side of ranch and some other dipping sauce. I had the fried shrimp dinner. I chose the sides of fries, a salad with house made poppyseed dressing, and a dinner roll. Everything was just decent. The fries and shrimp were just pre-packaged frozen foods. The homemade poppyseed dressing was mostly mayonnaise. On the other hand, my husband ordered the prime rib dinner. He was very impressed with the prime rib. He said it was the best he has had in a while!

I have drove past this place for 10 years now. Always stopped at the light looked over, wondered, and never stopped. But then came date night, poor time management, and I needed food that was packed and ready to eat at the drive-in. I took a leap of faith and then kicked myself for not eating here before! The place is small, a whole in the wall. You can't really dine inside. It's a take out place. So really there's not much to say about environment or customer service. You just call in your order or put it in at the counter. They just call your name when it's ready. But the food is a whole other story. THE FOOD IS SO GOOD!! I got the supreme philly chicken sandwich, boyfriend got the supreme philly cheese steak. Both with fries and a can soda. Under $20. The car smelled sooooo good. I was ready to eat it. Fast forward to the drive-in and there was a lot of "mmmmmmmmmmm" "mmmmhmmmm" "yup" noises. I ate all of it. Which was a lot. The sandwich is so big and full of goodness. So good that we watched one movie and couldn't get to the second one because we were so full and sleepy. Please don't be like me. If you are wondering about this place, stop by!

"We've eaten here twice and had great meals and service both times. You can tell they are adapting to feedback and putting a lot of effort in as a new restaurant - I appreciate that! Food ordered has included: bbq carrots, pizza mushrooms, wedge salad, French onion soup, reserve cut filet, ribeye, miso greens, pine purée, panna cotta. There wasn't a bad dish - it was all amazing. Unique spins on classics, and nice execution. The red wine demi is to die for. As was the reserve cut filet- soooooo worth it. The French onion soup was also killer. I appreciated our servers patience as I selected a wine during our second visit (he brought me tastes of a couple of the wines by the glass so I could select). And our servers were also accommodating to my gluten allergy - helping me navigate nuances (cocktail sauce not GF). We'll be back and wish Lone Pine success!"
"this restaurant serves the best Japanese food and drinks of all kinds. they fry and cook your dinner in front of you. You can feel the heat from the flame and smelll the food as they cooking it. I think cheaper than most all other steak resttaunts and service is fast."
"I can't say enough about The Haven! You really don't know what to expect when trying a new restaurant with little or no reviews but so happy we did!Nestled in the beautiful Hickory Stick Golf Course Community, it's a fabulous addition to the CG/Bargersville/Greenwood area. Beautifully designed and very inviting. It's a perfect setting for a night out with family or friends or in our case an impromptu date night. We did not have a reservation but they are recommended. Greeted by friendly and welcoming hostesses, we were seated in the bar area which is lovely and appears to be abundantly stocked with choices galore! We decided on sharing a few items and narrowed down to the pork tatchos, house salad and cheeseburger. First the tatchos left me speechless! The portion was way more than we expected and loaded from end to end. Could have easily been a meal or shared as an app for 4! Delicious and we had to take half of it home! Salad was fresh, crisp and plentiful for 2...and the hot bacon vinaigrette dressing was perfect! We are always in search of the perfect burger and this one did not disappoint! It too was large enough to split, especially after the tatchos! It was cooked perfectly and generously topped with veggies (no condiments required)!Overall The Haven is a 5/5! I did not witness "new restaurant" pains with regard to staffing, timeliness nor organization. Definitely owned/ran by those of experience! Thanks for bringing a wonderful new dining choice to the area and our Hickory Stick community as well!"
"Came here for a sponsored CE dinner while in town. Entire staff was super accommodating when they ran out of seats and they ran to get us extra cutlery and seats to listen to the presentation. Delicious food-lobster tails and cocktail shrimp were fantastic! The chocolate cookies were fabulous too, super indulgent.Great experience!"
"This is an amazing place to get cocktails. The ambience is fantastic. The service is fantastic. Every time I've come everything is always perfect. I do have to say I've never ordered food here because they are on the pricier level. But definitely ask for Jonathan the bartender he will take care of you every day all day. He has a great attitude makes things perfect and always is very attentive."
"Fantastic BBQ!! My husband loves the ribs & I love their burgers!! They have great loaded baked potatoes & other sides. We really love them & they are Christian run, which is really nice."
"Always enjoy visiting Lahody's I've had dinner for 5, no issues at all.. food was wonderful, out server (Tory) was very attentive/pleasant..Also had the Friday shrimp cocktail (3 of them, 5 large shrimp each) and it's a pleaser. I'll be back, thanks"
"Ohhh wee this food be good in the nayberhood you feel me? The only reesin im givin 4 starz is becuz the servus is kinda crap but the food be deleeshus. Just make sure to get the stakes medium cuz if you do medium rare it gonna be redder than lipstick. Plus you can gamble 2 feet away. My girl plays the machines but I like blackjack cuz thats for gentlemin.Edit: No, nope, get yer stakes medyum rare cuz while the meet is good, these dum dums dont always know how to cook it to temp."
"Everything was cooked perfectly. The facility was clean, waitress was great, and they let us park the bobtail behind the establishment. Cant go wrong eating here. Also had a bar with alot of cocktails."
"Came here for a wedding event. Everything was amazing. We loved the sweet potato casserole so much and the salmon was perfectly cooked. They also had them cater at the wedding and my favorite thing was the wild rice. It was creamy and kinda sweet? I've been daydreaming about the rice ever since. The restaurant has a very historical, classy feel which is relaxing and quaint. The servers were walking up and down those steps (poor things) and still were on top of things."
"The staff definitely remembers their regulars which is rare these days. Everything we ordered was perfect. The wedge salad is amazing, steak cooked to perfection and dessert always hits the spot!"
"Service was acceptable, probably because we knew our waitress--acceptable but not outstanding. I had the berry fruity salad with grilled chicken, which was acceptable, but again, not unique or interesting by any means. Overall, I'd say it is pricey and not a place I need to return to anytime soon."
"... An extra star is worth how I felt being there and why it has made itself into my top 5 favorite spots. Maybe it was just what I needed in that moment, so everything hit just right but does there need to be a reason to happy? It's located on Mass Ave, off to the left, as you are walking towards the garage. I love the decor. It's dark but full of Amber lighting and colors. It's retro and vintage. It had me at hello as soon as I walked in. We were greeted & got a seat immediately on Saturday afternoon which was wonderful! The hostess was personable, helpful and very friendly, also wonderful. We didn't know we could get hot towels at request so we took advantage of that and it really made me feel like I was treating myself! I loved that it came with lemon for a fresh clean feel and scent. Definitely get it!The food... I got the wagyu burger and whoa was it tasty. It was very tender & lightly seasoned. It would have been even better if it had a chargrilled taste but still was juicy and the compliment of the bacon and jam... it was good. It came w/ fries but I opted for garlic truffle fries and this was the only place where the garlic was not overpowering. The French toast is loaded with all the fruit's & caramel. Which was surprising but all the fruit went perfectly. I didn't stop there, I ordered chocolate cake to go that comes with coffee ice cream but it melted before I could eat it but the cake was great too! It came with gold flakes and popcorn. It was not heavy, it was smooth and delicious. I'm probably going to be here every other Sunday lol Please go try them for yourself!"
"I hate to post this after I've heard so many good things about the brunch. But here is my experience.... First if you have food allergies, just say no. Nuts are located in like two spots and I got sick because of cross contamination. They have a lot of breakfast choices but none of the eggs seem to be whole eggs, just egg mix and lots of carb items. We were seated in a section with no server, so that was disappointing since we had a hard time getting anyone to bring us drinks. Everyone was friendly but the lack of organization was disappointing. Over $40 a person for the brunch, which is what I paid for an all you can eat seafood buffet in Myrtle beach."
"Overall, the experience was great! The food was delicious and the service was fast and friendly! The building is from the 1800's and they still have it set up to kind of feel that way which I appreciate! They are currently fixing up the 3rd floor to open up rooms again as it was a hotel at some point. We had the ribeye, mac and cheese, green beans, wings, lava cake, salmon, and a couple sandwiches and everyone said their food was really good! We'll definitely be back."
"It was an awkward experience with an amazing steak. We were celebrating a milestone birthday and were placed on a high top next to a pole near the entrance. From this viewpoint we could tell there was not a dress code as people with T-shirts and jeans were entering without issue. For the price point, we expected some level of decorumThe manager walked by several times without asking how we were. The restaurant was half full. The appetizer bread came out hard, was not free and without plates. No issues with service or the food thereafter. The 16oz Strip with perfect and the birthday cookie was a nice touch."
"If you are looking for a great steak off I-70 stop here! We started with a couple salad bars that came with our meal. Everything was so fresh and tons of variety including dessert options. My husband got the 16 oz Ribeye and it was huge! He said it was cooked perfectly along side a real baked in the oven potato! I had the chicken strips which came out with 7 on the platter along with a baked potato. Very friendly waitress"
"Was on the way to nearby logansport Indiana. Thankfully this place was open till 10pm on a weeknight (Tuesday). Since it was Tuesday, Dillinger's was serving tacos. I got a chicken, a steak, and a fish taco. My buddy got a Dillinger burger. All tasted pretty good. And the bartender was really nice."
"Hungry Heathen has one of the best breaded tenderloins around. It was so tender with a nice medium thickness and the breading had just a few spices and not overly breaded . The Heathen Bowl is good size with some very delicious bbq pulled pork with creamy macaroni and cheese. It does have onions in it. Our server was very polite and attentive. We will definitely be back and recommend to others."
"I've had a lot of enjoyable meals this years, but this was probably the best yet. It's started with a very nice fresh baked bread, followed by an equally good side salad. Then I had a great ribeye steak seasoned just right and cooked to perfection. The mashed potatoes were equally excellent. Someone with me got a fillet that was also amazing."
"Wow! If you haven't been here stop what you are doing and go now. This is a small spot in a strip mall, simple and good. No, really good.Even though the space is small they fit in enough seating to get you in, fed, and happy. The service is friendly and prompt and the food was oh so darn good.I ordered a BLT with a side of tater tots! I love tater tots! They are the worlds best catsup transportation device I know. The BLT was perfectly prepared and there was about one pound of bacon on this sandwich! I am not kidding. I could only eat about half of the sandwich and the tots and it made for an amazing second meal. My dining companion ordered a breakfast bowl, and yes it is exactly as it sounds. Think way too many breakfast foods in a bowl and that's it.Home cookin', diner eating, friendly service, good prices."
"I had a taste for chicken today so I came here for lunch they have a great lunch special 6 wings and fries and a drink for $6.50 I would give them 5 stars but they give you a generic drinks which is krogers brand if I pay for my food and it comes with a drink I expect to get a name brand drink. The customer service is ok no smiles no hello how are doing they kind of just rush you out the door."
"We had the best experience here! Not only was the food great, but we took the shuttle that the owner (Blake) was driving to go to a concert close by. The staff was kind and attentive. We will definitely be back!"
