The Hostess House
"I've eaten at a lot of places around the country, but the Hostess House is now one of my favorites!! The lady at the Quilt HOF museum asked us if we'd eaten lunch yet...and to hurry over here as they close at 2pm. I'm glad we took her advice. We're in town for the DCI event at Wesleyan College. The people in this town are so hospitable!! The mansion is gorgeous, the dining room so bright, airy, pristine. I had the turkey, Swiss, bacon sandwich with cranberry mayo on wheat berry bread...oh my...I'd go back in a minute! But the real treat is the house made butterscotch pie! You have to get lucky, we got the last two pieces of the day...mmmmm. There is a boutique upstairs...so many awesome gifts...I think my spouse is still up there!! Enjoy, a real gem!!"
