"We met an out-of-state friend for dinner and landed here at the half way point. The town is super cute, but save the sightseeing for after dinner, you will want to get here early. The location is Teeny tiny, with only a handful of booths but does not feel cramped once seated. It seems to be a family business as their sweet little children were playing in the booth closest to the kitchen and helped deliver sodas at times. The ambiance was laid back and comfortable. I've never been to a Japanese restaurant and was excited to try something new. We got crab Rangoon appetizers and they were consistent with any other I've ordered. We ended up trying the hibachi meal that comes with soup and salad. We tried Miso Soup and our friend substituted clear soup. I've never had Miso soup so don't have anything to compare it to but it was DELICIOUS! And the salad was a small portion with a delicious dressing. No idea what it was but I loved it. I was worried I'd be full from the soup and salad but the food took a LONG time to come out. We were not in a hurry and had plenty of time to catch up. When the food came out there was so much!!!! And it was SO good!!!! I got the filet, my fiancé got the strip steak and our friend got chicken. All were equally delicious. If it would've been proper I would've licked the plate! Even thought this place is two hours from home, I would make the trip again. When we left they were packed in line with people waiting. I can't wait to try something new."

"I had this on my list of places to try since it opened here in Plainfield. It is a small location but has several dine in tables too. With a comprehensive sushi and Japanese menu they also had a few asian food options. I ordered the shrimp teriyaki bento box and was very happy with it. The bento box is a generous serving of your protein with rice and vegetables with two crab rangoon's and 4 pieces of California roll. The food all tasted great and all of our food for four people was ready in under 10 minutes. The price was also very reasonable at $12. All soda and Japanese soda are in the cooler caned and bottles only."

"Right off Allisonville and 116th, Okaya is a great local spot for sushi and more!We are always greeted with a smile and warm welcome. When we bring our toddler, they are nothing but sweet to her and take interest in her jabber. So kind! Every waiter or waitress we have is nice and accommodating. The restaurant is incredibly clean and inviting. The food is fresh and has such good flavor. The sushi is impeccably made! The best I have had in the area!I also love their egg rolls and almost always get them as an appetizer. I agree with another reviewer that there is absolutely no smoke smell, even tho the restaurant is nestled between two smoke shops. I've been at this establishment a handful of times and have never experienced any smoky odor.FYI: They do not prepare hibachi in front of you. It is all cooked in the kitchen. Don't let that deter you; the food is great!"

"Minazuka Sushi Bar celebrated its grand opening a little over a month ago in a little strip mall near 421 and US 465. The dining room is upscale and lovely with pastel Japanese kimonos and pink cherry blossoms decorating the walls. There is a mix of booths and tables and a small sushi bar in the back. Gentle Asian music plays in the background. Our server was charming and friendly. She brought water, checked on us and food came out quickly. For lunch, we each had two sushi rolls and salad. The salad is large with the most incredible freshly made mango dressing. The spicy crab roll was creamy and tasty. I loved the shrimp tempura roll, which was filled with four large shrimp, lots of cucumber and a sweet sauce. My lunch was delicious and filling. Prices are very reasonable. They have applied for a liquor license to serve beer, wine and saki. The parking lot can be challenging to get in and out. I highly recommend and will return soon."

"We happened upon this place when looking for a place to eat for dinner. It is located in the old Bob Evans near 465 and Franklin Rd on E. Washington St. All the old seating is still in place inside. We were sat right away, with only a few other tables occupied. Our server was very friendly and attentive. He was able to explain things on the menu and came to check on us several times. The menu is pretty extensive, with lots of options. The portions are large and everything tastes great. The best part is the BellaBot that brings your food out to you. It is a talking robot kitty!The only dissapointment was the fortune cookies. While they tasted great, the "fortunes" inside were more like proverbs, not fortunes. They have seated tables and also a sushi bar at the front. They serve chinese dishes, soups, appetizers, sushi, and desserts. We all had plenty of food to take home as leftovers. We will definitely be back!"

"This is our go to spot for fantastic sushi in Franklin. We always get the pick three for $13. You also get soup or salad. (I usually get both as it's only another $2) Very tasty and delicious sides. When it opened, it was known for low prices, fresh food and a chocolate fountain surrounded with gargantuan strawberries, marshmallows along with other fruits to dip. I ended up just getting it off the buffet. They were very busy I just think they need more people at the buffet. The guy at the buffet was doing noodles and sushi. Overall the prices are pretty reasonable they had a ton of toppings for hot pot. Half I didn't even know what they were."

"Stopped in on a Wednesday night. This was the second time we had been here. The lobby is a little small and has a handful of tables but that is common in this strip of buildings. We were politely greeted but we're unsure what we wanted, so we sat down to look at the menu. We decided to order for appetizers crab rangoon and an order of gyoza. For our meals, we went with katsu chicken and general tso's chicken. Both came with fried rice I also order a side of spicy crab salad. Everything came out hot and delicious. The entrees and the spicy crab salad were on another level because they were so good. The portions were big too, as we took home a lot of the rice and some of the entree. We will definitely be back soon."

We went on Valentine's Day so it was busy but we got seated right away. Service was good for how busy it was! Everyone was kind of working together so it made it efficient. You can get appetizers and sushi rolls unlimited for $25/person. We got crab Rangoon, house salad, miso soup and all the sushi we wanted for a very reasonable price! And in the back of my mind its tough to go somewhere, have a poor or mid experience, and still blow a good chunk of change.But my last few times at Asaka have been great and I'm so glad for it. Ramen is flavorful and warm, with a healthy portion size. Takoyaki is just as good as ever. Sashimi, which has been a sore point before, has been top notch. I particularly enjoyed the grilled salmon, which is just slightly cooked to give it a bit of a crispy bite. This place is still very small and I would recommend coming after happy hour, where its much less hectic. Whatever funk that may have been lingering over Asaka for a while seems to be long gone, and I'm so glad I can fully recommend Asaka again."

"In town for the weekend from LA, and after a full day of traveling - because of the time difference - we decided we wanted to stuff our faces here. My wife actually planned to eat at the Anaheim location after a Disney trip with some girlfriends, but they ended up changing plans. So when she saw Hibachi Grill was near our lodging for the weekend, eating here sounded like a plan - especially because the price for eating back home was $20. An AYCE spot near Disneyland for a price that is far from commonplace these days? I figured the Indiana location had to be wicked cheap. This is largely the focus here. Value and volume over quality. It is quite easy to be critical about a buffet that doesn't cut it for style and execution. But for $15 AYCE, I believed the place served what it aimed to: plenty of options that might not blow you away, but it all tasted fine enough. And the selections were well tended to, refill-wise. We sat across from a family of six that got to eat out for less than $100. This place gives you plenty to eat if you don't feel like eating at, or cooking at home, and the ​simple reality is, you could be doin​g​ a​l​ot worse than Hibachi Grill. I got to try different combinations of new items every time I got up to get a plate. And I was happy enough to keep tasting things until it was time to go home. Yes, mostly everything could use a little hot sauce or salt/pepper to taste, but Hibachi was busy when we showed up. They'll continue to feed people who are more concerned with filling their bellies than eating exceptional food, and the approach seems to work for the operators."
