"The food was amazing! I had the basil garlic bread for an appetizer and ate 5 of the 6 slices myself. So delicious. My entree was traditional spaghetti and that was amazing. For dessert I had the chocolate pudding with toasted marshmallow and graham cracker. It was good - I had never had anything like it before but it was tasty! The service was great. The server was knowledgable and very nice. The restaurant is smaller with about 20 tables inside and a bar top. Bar seating is all open but the other tables you need a reservation or can walk in. I would get a reservation for a Friday or Saturday night. We went on a Sunday evening and it wasn't too crowded. There is limited free parking adjacent to the building and I was able to find a spot there!"

You could be very COVID symptomatic and still taste the veal in these meatballs. Potent stuff really.A thought - how many different servers could you persuade to grate cheese over your pasta? I'll set the line at 3.5 for any betting foodies. The reason I ask is that our servers were generous to offer from multiple angles. Look at that dairy generosity!My toe was dipped into the nightly special seafood pasta. Beyond my never ending quest for ridiculous amounts of sauce, the noodles stood tall. To be fair you could throw shrimp into anything and it's serviceable.Would I return? For sure. Would I rush to return? "We had a large party dine in on a Sunday night and had a really wonderful experience!! The food was so so good, really wonderfully prepared and delicious. The portion sizes are pretty outrageous - 2 orders of the breadsticks and 3 20" pizzas were way too much for 15 people, but in the best way. We opted to have our pizzas party sliced (16 slices instead of 8), which worked wonderfully for our party. If you dine here, you HAVE to try their house-made ranch. Oh my word this was INCREDIBLE! One of the best decisions to have some of this alongside our breadsticks and pizza for dipping. We all agreed we would be coming back here because of our positive experience and because of how yummy the food was. Thanks Brozinni!!My experience with ADA was also decent! I have a medical alert service dog and had a relatively normal experience at this restaurant. I called ahead to let them know my party was coming, and they were very professional in handling it. They do not take reservations. I arrived first so I could get situated at my table (as getting a dog situated at a large table/booth can sometimes be a challenge), but unfortunately they were not willing to seat me early until others in my party showed up. Despite having the table ready, I had to wait by the door with my dog until a group of my friends came in. It was a bit of a struggle for me to get myself and my dog in our corner booth with everyone else there, moving the chairs around, etc., hence why I got there early to do that. It was a bit of a flustering moment, but that's just life & the world of ADA. But generally they handled having my dog & myself there positively which is good. Could the accommodations have been better? Yes. Were they good overall? Yes. Overall, thankful things went smoothly :)"

"If you're looking for good Italian food with big portions, this is the place to go! I loved how Al dente the noodles were and each pasta dish we got was so flavorful and unique. We also got the calamari appetizer which was pretty good. Wish it was a little more crispy. The garlic Parmesan bread had the right amount of cheese and garlic. Loved the softness of the bread mixed with all creamy and melty cheese. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and helpful as we were ordering. "We sat at the bar and the bartender was super friendly. Inside was cozy and perfect for our winter visit. We started with the brussels sprouts, which had bacon, parm, and truffle oil. They were quite a treat. They came out piping hot, which was also a great sign for the rest of our meal. We also got the genovese pizza which had a base of pesto and was topped with chicken, sun dried tomatoes and caramelized onion. It was delicious. I even heard a "best pizza I've had in Indy" spoken. It was also fresh from their brick oven, the crust was crispy yet soft on the inside and the toppings were delicious. It was a win.The only thing I didn't like about the restaurant was that the cocktail menu didn't have prices. That never really makes sense to me and I'm not as laid back as I'd like to be about that kind of thing lol. In the end, I got the Italian Gentlemen cocktail (Bourbon, Campari, Orange Bitters, Lemon Juice and Agave) and it ended up being $14. It was spirit forward and a very good drink so I was happy. We also got a tequila soda with lime which ended up being $9. There is a shared free parking lot and it was easy to find a spot."

There was quite a big selection of teas for my husband. We were too full for dessert. Maybe next time!My only minor gripe is the charge for valet parking. "Capri is so good and a hidden gem! We took our toddlers there and I was hesitant because it is family friendly but not many young kids around but our server Jason made me feel at ease and treated them like they were just other patrons. They make some of their noodles in house, which can't be beat. I had the spaghetti bolognese and it was a perfect portion and so good! If you are coming on a weekend I could suggest making a reservation. Since they are a family friendly restaurant I would like to see them add a changing table to the women's restroom. They are fairly inexpensive and a bummer to see they didn't have one when they do have families dining there."

"It takes a lot for me to be in the mood for Italian, but on a cold wintry night it was the best decision! We got two craft cocktails that were unlike any drink we've had. They have a happy hour we had just missed with $1 oysters so we will definitely have to be back for that. Got a Caesar salad that was pretty big and very good! I got the lasagna and my boyfriend got the rigatoni. For dessert we got the butter cake with berry compote on top. The service was very delightful always giving us great recommendations and friendly. She was one of the best servers we've had in a while! Will definitely return!"

I'll give them the benefit of the doubt with this being their second weekend back, but they definitely need to work on the hostess stand and making sure they get people seated when tables become available. Place was packed when we arrived but there were several open tables and no one being seated. Service overall slow tonight, but to reiterate, the place was swamped. Food was amazing though and worth the wait. White Devil pizza and the Pepperoni and Pistachio pizza are what we ordered. Also went with the warm ricotta dip and bread which is always incredible. Music and ambiance were average tonight. Regardless, we'll absolutely be back. Might go with a pickup order next time"

"Hands down in our top two restaurants in Lafayette/West Lafayette! We love this place. It is all about the food! The food is quality and consistently delicious. The owner has a farm and uses a lot of the produce she grows herself for the freshest ingredients. The variety on the menu is fabulous as well. They always have exceptional daily specials. It's always so hard to decide what to order!The negative is that it is only open for dinners on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. They used to be open more than than as well as for lunch (they had a fantastic lunch menu!) so that's a disappointment. The place is also clean, but I would like to see them replace their tables and chairs. The chairs are old and you sink down so low. The tables don't have a smooth surface and crumb debris gets caught.This is the only authentic, quality Italian place in town so I hope it sticks around for a long time! With her decreasing the hours from what she had before, I worry she'll eventually close. It would be a huge loss to the community if it did."

On this visit we split a loaded calzone with marinara for dipping. It was cheesy, full of meat, sauce and veggies and super filling. We also split a small house salad - it was so full it spilled over the bowl! Finally we got one of their decadent cinnamon rolls to go - perfect with a cup of coffee later in our hotel room. Don't let the gas station location fool you - Salvatori's is the real deal."

"This is the go-to spot for any canal trip! I like to bring my out-of-towners here with an accompanying canal walk circuit. The menu ranges from light bites to full meals with a little wine selection to really top off the experience. Counter-ordering service is always quick. Seating is available outside or indoors. There are just a few tables indoors and much more seating in the fenced-in patio area. Though, it does not seem like there is abundant shade depending on the time of day. I got a chocolate gelato in a size medium. They give generous portions of their gelato, so I would say most people would be plenty satisfied with a small. Nonetheless, this is a fantastic gelato, that's nice and thick and creamy, with only a mild sweetness, allowing the chocolate flavor to really come through."

When I originally saw the place online, I almost passed on it. Originally, I was saying to not go there and "oh this place looks like a dump, right?" WRONG! Our daughter liked the chicken Alfredo. Hubby liked his spaghetti and meatballs.I liked my chicken parmigiana. It was tender & moist.However, I like mine to have a bit more cris breading on it. Hubby got a beer & I got a classic sangria. Both were good.We were seated right away. Our server was good."

The food is Indiana red-sauce pasta and pizza -- it checks that Italian box.Apparently, there are a few Sal's Famous Pizzerias on the west side of Indianapolis. Sal gets around over here. This one in Plainfield has a large dining room, with tables and booth seating. The service was excellent, from start to finish.We started with the bread sticks and garlic rolls. The garlic rolls look very pretty, but I liked the simple taste of the plain breadsticks. They are served with marinara sauce.I got a Caesar salad, which was just slightly over dressed, and the parmesan looked like it was the kind you shake out of a can. You (and by you, I mean I) need freshly grated parmesan on a Caesar! No exceptions. Needless to say, it wasn't my favorite of the meal. My main was a vegetarian calzone, which was stuffed with ricotta, mozzarella and vegetables. It was fine, but the dough was just a tad too sweet and fluffy -- it tasted more like a dough for a pastry and not a savory calzone, if that makes sense.My children got slices of pizza, which they really enjoyed. If you visit for lunch, you can get pizza by the slice here, which is nice.We finished with cannoli, filled with sweet ricotta cream and chocolate chips. The cannoli were really good, and even though I don't typically enjoy cannoli, I ate the whole thing!Like I said, Sal's is a perfectly fine Indiana Italian restaurant that will satisfy a big group. There are lots of different things to order, and the menu is very familiar."
