Wendy J. "Wow, this place is just awesome. I guess that explains why they have been around 100+ years. They have a menu and plan that works . Staff is kind, efficient and knowledgeable. Did I mention food is cheap? Our entire meal for 2 people was $13.72. That included hot dogs, drinks & a piece of pie! Take time to chat with staff and learn the history of the business and building. IRS just fascinating."

Kristen S. "Checked out this place for dinner the other night. We got the dynamite shrimp as an appetizer & it was delicious! Fried shrimp & the sauce on it was a little spicy and terrific! They have quite a menu from chicken, salads and burgers. I got the in & out burger. It had cheese and sautéed onions and their signature sauce. It was double patties as well. Loved it & loved the sauce! The fries were beer battered- my favorite kind, but I've heard they do very good gluten free fries there too! The ambiance was cool! Lots of bourbons behind the bar & a classy cocktail menu. One side of the restaurant is smaller with a small bar and the other side is much larger with another bar area. Didn't try a cocktail this time just had a beer, but I will definitely be back! Our service was also excellent!"

Food is good...they have a full menu with all sorts of things, we ordered double cheeseburger, chili cheese dogs and onion rings and mugs of homemade root beer!!! Service was great and atmosphere is awesome..definitely family and pet friendly. They have a nice covered area with tables to eat and you can also just pull up and someone will come and take your order. Also a walk in restaurant next door!! Give them a try...we definitely will be going back to try other menu items."

Lien K. "A disappointing visit after reading so many great reviews. In hindsight, I should have filtered by date.I waited a while at my car after flipping the button on the menu board. The young woman who came out told me she only came out because they weren't busy. I told her it wasn't an issue and I was fine ordering inside. Maybe this was obvious to everyone else but if the in-car ordering wasn't available they should remove it from the menu board. It seemed odd to have customers walk in to order then have food carried out to my car, which is what happened. The patio seating is enclosed so there is seating "indoors". I think that would've been a better option.I was excited about their sourcing from Tyner Pond but don't think they do this anymore. The fries definitely did not match any description I read and I definitely was not expecting a small bag of crinkle cut fries. These are not worth ordering for $3.I ordered a double burger but a single would've been fine-it was quite large. It was good, but I wish the onion was sliced thinner- it made the whole thing difficult to hold and was just a lot of onion. The root beer is Sprecher's on tap. Overall a disappointment. Check out the more recent reviews."

Evan B. "I've had a number of items on the menu here and they are always made fresh and packed with flavor, but this review is going to be a little different and is finally getting posted.I recently tried Mr. Beef from the show The Bear and tried some of their food then came back home and had Chicago Beef and Dog 2 days later. 1 to 1, hands down, CBAD is just better. I tried the Italian beef and compared it - CBAD has the quality beef and bread, the spices for the au jus, the heat from the peppers... I just am blown away that the best of Chicago is right here in Irvington. And the prices are insane for the quality! All the people here are great too. You'll get the true Chicago interaction if the owner Dave is behind the counter, and Jennifer will give you the friendly Indy welcome. Either way, it's stellar customer service. My only regret is I don't have more pics of the food - I eat it too fast once that fresh food hits the table!"

Doug K. "If half stars were a thing, I think 3.5 would be perfect for Milkman. To start, you walk in and order at the counter. They have a cooler with a pretty good beverage selection. There are a handful of diner-style table for sitting and you seat yourself after ordering. The menu has 4 or 5 burger options and then a slew of a la carte toppings (each with a fee). We got a Spicy Burger and a Cowboy burger as well as a chocolate shake and a side of fries. The burgers were pretty tasty. Truthfully, they kind of tasted like Five Guys burgers, which is where my lower rating comes from. Also, the fact that each topping is an additional price can make it a relatively pricey meal. The shake was the best part of our meal, that was delicious. The fries were also quite tasty. They were crispy and well seasoned. Overall, for the price and selection, I'm not sure I would go back."

Chios were a little sweet for my taste, but good. A nice meal for a bad day. Give it a try if you're a sports fan or looking for Chicago style food."

Sarah M. "We visited here on Sunday and really enjoyed everything we tried! We stopped in at this location as part of the Yelp event they did for the Korean rice dogs, but we also ordered 2 drinks, an order of 3 cream balls, and an order of 3 Mochinut. The inside is very cute and colorful. They have 2 kiosks to order from, but there were also several friendly staff there to help with any questions about the menu or order with as well. We got a Korean rice dog from the Yelp event and chose the beef sausage covered in hot cheetoz with yum yum sauce. It was soooo good. I really want to come back and try the half beef/half mozzarella rice dog next! Everything was the perfect temperature and the crunch on the outside was a great touch. To drink I got the ube with regular tapioca and my husband got the cherry berry with jelly boba. The ube was everything I had hoped it would be. The cherry berry was a little too sweet/sugary for both of us, but still good. I think that it would have been better if it was diluted with some water. We also ordered a 3 pack of the Mochinut and a 3 pack of the cream balls. All of the Mochinut had great flavor, but since it is made with the rice dough it is a much more chewy texture than a typical donut. The honey lavender was both our favorite Mochinut. The cream balls were good, but were not filled equally- some were filled all the way and some were filled maybe halfway. The Nutella flavor was our favorite, but we both felt it was more of a chocolate flavor than a Nutella flavor. The chocolate/nutella flavor was the perfect amount of sweetness, so I think having a stronger Nutella flavor would have been too sweet for us.Overall, this is a very cute little spot for a savory or sweet treat! I would visit a Mochinut again, but I think the Plainfield location will be where we go next since it is closer to us."

Hollyann H. "I've been wanting to actually go to a Dog-N-Suds drive in for awhile. I've drunk their bottled root beer a lot for a good portion of my life now and it's one of my favorites. So when we were visiting Lafayette, Indiana at Purdue for UC/Purdue game I saw we were close to one and we had to go try it. It's actually still an old school drive in. We pulled up, read the menu. Hit a button on the speaker, a girl took our order. Then she ran out on a tray, asked me to roll my window down a decent amount and stuck the tray with all our yummy food on it on my window. We ordered a Coney Dog basket and two super Root Beer Floats. Easily the best Root Beer Floats we've ever had. Big frosted mugs. Pure perfection. The Coney was super good too. I actually liked the chili on the Coney a lot. The crinkle fries that came with the basket were typical crinkle fries. They weren't bad at all they just...were crinkle fries. We flipped the switch on the speaker and the girl came back out and got our tray. Then we headed back to Cincy with some delicious food in our stomachs. Next time we're back I'll defiantly be stopping back and hitting up Dog-N-Suds again."

Ken N. "The good news is that the food was tasty and the service (lunch time) was pleasant and prompt. I arrived a little after they opened on a Saturday and was a little confused about where to park since there aren't any painted lines. They do have a section for wait service on the north side, but nobody was parked there. (The waitress said that when they are open, they do provide curb service.) So, I found a spot around the south side of the building and walked up to the "order window". There are a variety of options for burgers, dogs, and pizzas. They also have a number of ice creams, sundaes, and shakes available too! I selected the single "Suds Burger" which comes with a slice of processed cheese, shredded lettuce, dill pickle chips, and "special sauce". I also ordered the onion rings and a root beer float. The burger had really good flavor, but I did notice that the bun felt cold. A little time on the grill or even a toaster would have made a better first impression since the sandwich felt cold. The onion rings were lightly breaded and had a nice crunch in each bite. The onions were sweet and the breading stayed on the onions, not falling off like some places. The lightness of the breading kept them from being greasy and allowed the flavor of the breading to come through without overwhelming the onions. I did find the root beer float to be the most disappointing. Although the flavor was good, the presentation in a styrofoam cup with lots of that off brown foam being all that was visible was not very appealing. There also was just a single scoop of ice cream in the root beer, so it was gone well before the root beer. I think they may have mugs, but they were not chilled that early in the day. Not sure if they would have used a mug for the float or not. At the time I went, there were no car enthusiasts on site. This place is run by classic car enthusiasts and draws them in during the evening hours. So, even though there are times when you can go to check out the cars, lunch time was not one of them. I appreciated that they kept a lot of the nostalgic look and even some of the equipment from an old drive in diner. But even with the "oldies" music playing on the speakers, I didn't capture that feeling from my boyhood when going to the local drive in was a big deal. I applaud the effort, if not the result.Review #316"

The restaurant is very clean and new with a lot of staff members on hand. Food was fresh and cooked correctly. There's also one of those fancy electronic soda fountains, but my eyes were drawn to their offerings of milkshakes.Free parking. Indoor and covered outdoor seating available. I remember the pricing to be a bit different 20 years ago, but the price that we paid today was reasonable for the amount and quality of food received compared to other places nearby. (But for reals though can the prices stop increasing 'cuz homemade cooking is looking mighty good)"
