"Came here with a friend after not coming here in several years. Food was great, service was quick though being short staffed, and our server was amazing. I order a grilled tenderloin with fries. We also got an appetizer, the Saganaki. So delicious! I will literally return just to eat the Saganaki again! The vibe is nice and quiet. The lower level feels as though you're relaxing with your friends in a basement with music playing. I'd recommend to others for sure!"
"The gyro is delicious. The meat was good perfectly for my taste. It was done without being dry. The American French fries were hot, crispy, and crunchy, The pita bread was different than what Im accustomed to--not bad, just different. The rice pudding dessert is divine! I loved the creamy texture. It's a good-sized portion. It has a flavorful sweet taste. Next time I'll try the Baklava or the Baklava ice cream. It was a great first experience and I can't wait to visit again."

"What an experience! I will say I was nervous about their cancelation policy that includes a $20 charge per person if reservations are canceled less than 24 hours before the reservation. We had reservations for six, with one canceling due to illness the day of. I called ahead to change the reservation, but was still worried there could be a charge. There wasn't.My reason for including all that information is this... after having dinner on a Saturday (we were there at 4:30 when they opened), it was clear they do a massive business and need every seat available. We had a plan to check in during the week with a reminder and confirmation everyone was still on for dinner. The restaurant is beautiful and comfortably upscale. Our server Brynn, was outstanding. She was very cordial and friendly, as well as being well versed with the menu. She also split our bill five ways, spreading the food across all five bills and divvying up the drinks appropriately. The food... where do I start? I'll start by saying there are things on the menu we did not order that I still want to try. Guess we'll have to go back. Darn! What we did order was well.. a lot! Everything was fantastic.I'd say we started with the Trio of Spreads, but that's only because it came out first. My favorite was the Taramasalata (cured cod roe), which had just a slight fish flavor (it's not off-putting in any way). When we go again I will just order this. The Tzatziki was lovely and the Tirokafteri (spicy feta) was indeed spicy. It was tasty, but I focused on it the least. The grilled pitas that come with the spreads are a bit like Olive Garden's endless breadsticks. This is a huge plus and was greatly appreciated.Next was the Ntakos. Brynn told us to let it sit and allow the rusk to absorb the liquid and flavors. It was beautiful and delicious. That said, I won't order this next time.Turmeric Roasted Cauliflower - Roasted cauliflower seasoned with spices and turmeric w/ creamy tahini sauce. It was not spicy and the sauce was delightfully light and wonderful. I recommend it!The Manitaria Confit, aka mushrooms, were out of this world. So freakin' tasty! Yep, you should get these. We will get them again. The Pantzaria (roasted beets served with garlic dip) was outstanding! I'd order it again and you should too.The Bouyiourdi (spicy baked feta with peppers, tomatoes and onions) was spicy. It was good, but not my favorite. If you like things on the spicy side, go for it! Best bite - Char Grilled Xtapodi - grilled octopus. I get grilled octopus whenever I can. Fillo's grilled octopus is about the best I've had. So tender, and the EVOO, vinegar, oregano and capers are the perfect accompaniment. If I was only getting one thing, this would be it.The Kotopoulo Souvlaki was amazing. The chicken was tender and flavorful. With tomatoes, onions, fries, pita and dipping sauce, this is easily a full meal. The Moussaka was perfect. It looked beautiful and it was full of flavor. They had two desserts - Baklava and Ravani. The baklava was amazing! Just half of one of the three small pieces would have been enough. Wonderfully sweet and bursting with baklava syrup. The Ravani, topped with quince, was good but probably the least favorite of all the bites that evening.I also had a Baklava Negroni. That said, I asked if they could make it a Negroski, which is a Negroni made with vodka rather than gin. They accommodated my request with aplomb and it was delicious. Oh... the thing that makes it special is baklava syrup. It's not that I could taste it specifically, but Negronis can be a bit bitter. The Baklava "Negroski" was beautifully smooth. It wasn't bitter. It also wasn't sweet. It was perfection.I can't wait to go back."
"I got the chicken Gyro plate. It had so much chicken it was enough for two days. The chicken is so flavorful and has little heat but really good. Also a piece of baklava to go. It has a small bar up front but didn't pay much attention to it. The restaurant was clean and the staff was very friendly."
"Again, this place continues to be excellent and we love it! Our service was great and attentive and the food is always amazing. Lamb shanks, labneh, grape leaves. It was all so good! If you want a group table or 6 or more people, it's good to call ahead.Prices have really gone up. That's normal these days and I understand. But probably not good for everybody considering wages don't always go up with them. Hopefully Andy's can continue to do well in this environment of increased costs. We get it! Food is still just so wonderful and we continue to return but probably only a couple times a year. But we know when we come we're going to spend a lot of money.Staff here is always been very friendly and treated us like family. We've had a couple of birthdays here and we tell them ahead of time and they always make sure we have a good space. Looking forward to coming back!"
"Food was painfully average. Service was slow and we didn't get napkins!! Frozen strawberries on the French toast were gross. Hash browns were incredibly undercooked and tasteless. When we walked in we waited for 2 min before someone finally asked us if we wanted to sit (the place was maybe 20% full. Would not recommend"
"Great customer service. Fast delivery. Healthy choice. Chill place for lunch to stop in and get a quick bite with some relative peace and quiet."
"Perfect lunch spot!Great and quick service combined with a delicious gyro and they easily accommodated our group of eight. I loved my classic gyro along with some baklava for dessert. I was very impressed by how quick the food came out, especially with our large group. Pretty awesome that they have a gyro loyalty card, too. I will definitely be back!!"
"A great local, family owned restaurant! I had the mostaccioli and my mom had the seafood platter. Didn't take pictures but the portions were HUGE. We all left the restaurant with about two thirds of our meal in takeout boxes. The food itself is good, but not great. Nothing was wrong or bad, the style of taste just fell under my preference for that mouth-watering reaction. Service was great, restaurant decor is nice and the sitting area was clean. The bathrooms surprised me in a good way. They were very clean and well decorated. Overall a nice place!"
"We was in the area and decided to stop in for lunch. It was a little early on Saturday and nobody else was in there. I'm confused as why because it was excellent. The wife and I split a gyro and a shawarma along with some falafel. My son had a kids burger which was regular size and came with fries. The staff was excellent and the food was top notch. It was all priced very reasonably. Not sure why we never stopped in before but we will definitely return."
"I was craving Mediterranean food so I ordered through GrubHub. I've never been here before but everything looked delicious. I was looking to order something on the healthier side so I opted for the veggie kabob sandwich. What I thought I was getting was not what I got but it was still delicious. I was expecting grilled veggies but it was chickpeas, cabbage, pickles, pepperoncinis and olives with cheese all in a warm pita. I added tzatziki but it was super messy with all of that going on so I'd get sauce on the side next time. The fattoush salad was my favorite. The pita croutons were yummy and the dressing was lemony and bright. Both were very filling and a lot of food for a great price for $8-$10 each."
"Great food. Scamming money!9% sales tax...Admin fee...Not cool man. I asked the employee and he looked at me like I was a cheap a$$"

Great authentic Greek food 100% the gyro sandwich was excellent very tender blends of meat and the home cucumber sauce is a great blend. The service is great the waitress (Maggie) is very attentive to our needs and prompt with refills. The dining room has an old throw back wooden benches and tables are rustic and cozy. We had desert the baklava is baked and layer upon layer of sweet phillo dough. A nice blend of filling and pecans. If you're in Bloomington for a game or weekend getaway this is a must stop right on the courthouse square. Baklava is A++‼

I rarely give 3 star reviews but my experience at The Great Greek was lack luster. As someone who is Greek and knows a good gyro- this is not the place to get an authentic gyro. My gyro was dry and some pieces were burnt. A good gyro meat spit should be juicy and moist....not dry and burnt. Unfortunately, I will not be back anytime soon. I will go to a local family Greek restaurant instead of this chain restaurant.

They will take care of you here, local or not! This is a rare restaurant in downtown Cincinnati. The food is fresh and always on point, presented beautifully and with lots of flavor. They have inside and outside seating. Inside, the ambiance is light and minimalist. But let's talk about what you really come here for: the amazing food!I have been here twice now. Here are some of the dishes I recommend: Trio Plate - three heaping portions of shareable dips. They come with herby pita, but trust me, you'll need more! The typical dips are lucious eggplant based, spicy whipped feta, and creamy tzatziki. When I went most recently, they were out of the eggplant so it was replaced with taramasalata: cod roe made into a paste. I love fish for it's fishyness so this dip was phenomenal! My favorite among the dips. Char Grilled Octopus - This is a sliced octopus dish that comes with vinegary onions, peppers, capers, and olive oil. The Octopus itself has a wonderful smoky flavor from the grilling. The texture was light, not dry or rubbery at all. Grilled Calamari - This was a domestic catch of calamari, right off of Rhode Island apparently! The pieces came whole with slices in them. It was the texture to write home about though. The owner came out and told us about the two kinds of Calamari meat you can get. Most fried stuff is the tougher kind. Not this stuff though! It was only slightly chewy and very fragrant.Kotopoulo souvlaki - We have also ordered this several times. Honestly after all the apps, this dish comes home for leftovers. The chicken is always moist. There are a lot of fries! Persephone - This was my drink of choice. It reads like it might be soapy but it is very light and refreshing! Ouzo mexata - This is a drink of choice for those interested in an authentic Greek experience.

This has quickly become one of my son's and my favorite places to eat. We've always got it to go. The restaurant is fairly small and there's a bar area. The staff is always friendly at the counter and my food is always ready when I arrive. We usually order the Lamb over Rice. The portions are large and it's so good! I do wish they add more veggies.

Just one word to sum up our dining experience- delicious! We will definitely return. We couldn't have been more pleased with our experience and yummy meal. From the amazing belly dancer to the excellent server we couldn't have been in better hands. The food was delicious. I just moved here and found it via yelp. Tom's been in this area his entire life and heard about it and not been. We will definitely return due to our experience and that we want to try so many other menu items. I couldn't stop eating because it was delicious and freshly prepared. Look forward to our next experience!

Mezedes remains a staple and one of my favorite Greek places I've found in Cincinnati! They always offer very fast and efficient service with high quality meals. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. They do a large amount of their business as carry out, but I also often eat there. My go to is the Chicken dinner as it comes with rice, mixed peppers, pita, and tzatziki. They offer generous portions, allowing me to typically get multiple meals out of it, making it very reasonably priced. They recently offered a special of a Baklava cheesecake that was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend Mezedes (and never skip the baklava)!

"Wowzers!!! The Greek Fries, The Fish Sandwich and Mediterranean Wrap was very, very, very YummyLicious!!! Definitely Ms.Kelsey is the one to take care of you."
"I've been twice, and very pleased with both visits! I was in search for the, "Dubai chocolate bars" and was able to find it there! The chocolate bar was absolutely delicious! The customer service was exceptional! I called to see if the bar was there prior to going, and someone answered and was very helpful! Both times! I would recommend!!!"
"My husband's family introduced me to this place. They are very sweet people and personable too! The food is great and I love the salad bar! One of my favorite places to eat with my family! my husband always gets their fried chicken and it comes out piping hot and fresh every time!"
"Great little Mediterranean spot in downtown Carmel. This is a small counter service restaurant but the food is absolutely delicious. The pita's served with the hummus were so soft and delicious. And they put a very generous amount of meat inside the gyro, everything was cooked fresh and served hot!"
"Really solid private Middle East cafe. It was clean, well portioned and fresh spices. I got the Noor Platter with Rice substitute for Baba Ghanoush. The plate comes with soda and pita. The hummus was good, little runny, but good. Syrian style salad and Falafel was well seasoned and cooked through. I will return."
"This is probably the 4th or 5th time that I have been to this wonderful place! Each time go, I remember just how awesome the staff is and just how amazing the food is!!! Canal Bistro is located in the heart of Broad Ripple right off the Canal and provides a great ambiance for both indoor and outdoor seating! Last time I went we ordered the Calamari for the table and I opted for the Chicken Shawarma sandwich and I of course upgrade my fries to the Garlic Feta Fries!!! The Calamari was crispy and tender which never disappoints. The sandwich was very good with each bite having a little bit of each flavor in it. And of course the Garlic Feta Fries were amazing and they never disappoint! Great place for any occasion! -- be sure to check it out!"
"Grecian Garden is neither a garden nor is it in Greece. Discuss.I'm not a huge fan of the food here. I found it pretty bland both times I came, and the second time (which was later in the day when everyone was closing up), it didn't seem as fresh as at lunch time. I guess it had been sitting out awhile. Not a fan of the Dolma or the Falafel. The Hummus isn't too bad, but in general it's not top on my "Middle Eastern Foods" list. I still might try other stuff in future because it's better than a lot of the overpriced stuff in this up and coming food hall."
"I recently discovered my love for Greek food, so when I needed to find a place for dinner before going to the Olympic trials, I knew the Greek Islands was the perfect place. Located right outside of Lucas Oil Stadium in downtown Indy, it was a very convenient place for a quick bite before going to the swim meet. My mother and I decided to split a selection of appetizers in lieu of each ordering our own meals, and I think we made the right choice because we were able to sample many different traditional Greek dishes. I loved the gyro plate, especially the tenderness of the lamb meat and the refreshing cucumber-and-mint flavor of the tzatziki sauce. My mother ordered the Greek olives, and they were delicious on top of pita bread and drizzled with olive oil. We shared the Saganaki (flaming cheese), which I expected to just be a novelty, but it actually tasted very smoky and rich. I used it as a gyro topping and even tried some bites of it just plain! The only problem was that they were out of the lemon, chicken, and pasta soup, which my mother and I were looking forward to trying. Luckily, it wasn't that big of a deal because we still had lots of delicious food to make up for it. The severs were both very kind and attentive, and the service was efficient despite the restaurant being understaffed. I had a pleasant experience at the Greek Islands, and I am sure to be back for another affordable and authentic Mediterranean meal! Opa!"
"If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. We went on a Wednesday during lunchtime. The owner took our order immediately, and told us what was popular (gyros) and what he recommended. I ordered the chicken shawarma, my friend ordered the gyro. Both orders were made fresh and we were served about 10-12 minutes after our orders were taken. The food was DELICIOUS. The chicken was tender and had good flavor, as did the tzatziki and hummus. My friend really enjoyed his gyro. Prices were fair too for how much food we got ($16.33 after tax for my shawarma and soda). The owner was super friendly too, and offered us THE best baklava I've had. Sweet, sticky, and just big enough to satisfy my sweet tooth. It's safe to say this spot made our favorites for office day lunches. We'll be back soon!"
"What an eclectic mix of offerings for a small independent restaurant (I believe so!) that serves so quickly that we had hardly any wait in the drive through lane. Amazing! Though they do have some indoor dining, we decided to get ours to go through the drive up.We both ordered Greek food, though they have traditional Americana food, and some Mexican items too. I got the Chicken Gyro plate which has the Chicken gyro AND a small Greek Salad with Tzatziki sauce on the side. My wife just wanted the sandwich. We waited until we got home to eat but the sandwiches remained hot. I forgot how large and filling a gyro can be. These portions were plenty! In fact, trying to pick them up and fold them over to eat was a challenge they have so much stuff on them. I do wish they would cut the green peppers and onions a little smaller. I like my toppings to compliment, not dominate the meat portion of the sandwich. So, after removing some of the large pieces, and adding the sauce, we were able to enjoy our meal. I will admit I settled down with a knife and fork to cut the gyro down to a more manageable size and less mess at the table. ha!Good taste and really fast service. Nice tip: Although this shop is located on a busy section of East Washington Street, you can cross lanes without worrying about being blocked by a raised median strip by the entrance/exit. Just watch traffic since it can get busy here! Nice to know that if you change your mind for what sounds good, they have multiple options to choose from.Review #3887"
"Found my go to for gyros! The tzatziki sauce was so good and the gyro meat was cooked just right. A little crisp on the ends but not burned. I also had the pleasure of tasting the half gyro half burger and it was really tasty too. And the service was really good too. Can't beat that!"
"We have eaten here and have never had a bad meal. Even though they were short staffed, as many restaurants are struggling with this, the service was great. The staff is always friendly and very attentive. The menu is extensive. There is something for everyone. The hashbrowns are always spot on. The portions are large, so you never go away hungry. If there is a wait, stick it out. It will be worth it."
"I love this place!! If I am ever considering fast food, I go here instead. The food is fresh and good, the prices are reasonable and I try something new nearly each time I visit. Chicken gyros, Greek pizza, and veggie omelet are some of my faves so far. But the coney and chocolate chip pancakes are nothing to sneeze at! This is a small, family establishment, so don't expect lightning-fast interactions. Like most of our families, some members are quicker than others. You can park at Kastoria Fur on Olivette, at metered parking out front, or on residential streets. Seriously good food here!!"
"Oh my goodness ! When I came to this place while visiting Shelbyville I loved it. It's cute and cozy inside and feels like home despite me visiting from way out of state. The service was so nice and quick and made me feel so welcomed. The food was delicious and I enjoyed every bite. When I come back to Shelbyville I'll be sure to come again!"
"Mr Gyro's is our go-to spot in the area! The staff is always kind, and the food never disappoints. We've tried several items from the menu and have enjoyed each one. The portions are generous for the price, and we often have leftovers for a second meal. But the real star for me? Their lemonade--it's so darn good! I always find myself craving it. We keep coming back time and time again, and it's always worth it. Highly recommend!"
"The food and the service were great, but on the hottest day of the year there was no AC at all. For the few minutes I stood inside at the counter ordering my food I felt like I was standing on Hell's front porch. It was absolutely horrible. Fortunately I was able to order and leave, unlike to poor gentlemen who were tasked with running the place.I'll definitely be back....in the drive-thru."
"Louie's...I worked in Kokomo for 28.5 years and ate many a coney and bake. My goodness what a good taste. Delicious and absolutely a unique treat."
"We ate here for the first time. The people that worked here couldn't be any nicer. Big plus!I got a gyro and fries and it was delicious. Fries were wam and good size gyro.I will eat here again."
"You guys never fail me! That gyro, that falafel -- you can never go wrong with. They're always PACKED with ingredients. And that chicken over rice? What is the crack you put in this?? I need to know because it's so good that I ignore my GERD and eat this."
"Two of us split the taste of Athens sampler and a galaktoboureko dessert. Not to brag, but it was a perfect order. The sampler had plenty of gyro meat, pastitsio, moussaka, dolmades, tiropita, spanakopita, potatoes, and rice to share. Of them, all were good, but the one that was the most "above average" was the dolmades. If done well, they are leafy and lame. This one was great: tender, moist, flavorful. The show-stealer, though, was the galaktoboureko. It can sometimes be too heavy and honeyed. This one was light and sweet to right where you'd want it to be. Add to all of it a great wait staff lovingly making fun of each other in Greek, and this place is not to be missed!"
"Just posted a review about a regional chain that seems to be perfecting the "slow casual" concept. Meanwhile, Birmingham-based Taziki's has the much more common "fast casual" concept well figured out. (This native Southerner knows that Birmingham's got a bigger Middle Eastern community than you'd probably imagine.)There's no getting around it: Cincinnati has a serious shortage of relatively nutritious, reasonably priced, decent dining options. On those scores, Taziki's rings it up pretty good. The wife and I love Middle Eastern and Mediterranean food, and Taziki does a nice job with a generic Americanized version of it. Fresh salads, nice thick lemony hummus, pretty okay grilled meats, solid pita sandwiches. Not only tasty, but mostly pretty healthy eating as well. If you're familiar with these cuisines, it's not nearly the best you've had (and the limited sides are quite disappointing) but it's not at all bad, either.Service when we do go (usually lunch on weekends) has always been very fast. The staff is efficient and pleasant. Atmosphere and music are kinda bland, but it's agreeable enough, and the dining area seems spic-and-span. And the prices are reasonable (and when you find the Clipp Magazine coupons, like a pre-inflationary-era steal)."
"We had such an amazing meal the first time we visited OPA!, that on a return visit to Indiana I insisted we go back. Maybe Mondays are an off day for restaurants or the second string is working? It definitely wasn't the amazing place I went the first time. I ordered the pastichio again and it really wasn't great. We still enjoyed ourselves, but the prices didn't reflect the experience."
"I'm a local and have eaten Jack's gyros countless times over the years. We have come to love Jack; if you have time and don't have a line of cars behind you, take a minute and get to know him. The gyros are consistently delicious. The gyros platter is also a nice option if you're trying to eat on the lighter side, or want to avoid a lot of gluten in the pita."
