I did think the price was a high considering plates and utensils were plastic or throwaway. Napkins were paper towels. Chips were a Ruffles bag. Homemade Cookies ended the meal and were fantastic and a steal price wise. I would go back though."

Richard Walton C. "Wow, was I surprised! I thought this was going to be primarily a coffee shop with maybe a couple of breakfast options. Man was I wrong! They have all kinds of breakfast selections. And their drinks menu is gargantuan! It covers an entire wall. This is a nice corner location with ample square footage. Dining in consists of five two seat tables in the front with a view of the street and a counter in the back with three chairs. From 7 am to 8 am, I observed a steady stream of customers ordering coffee and breakfast. I ordered one Biscuit and Gravy plus another Biscuit with Egg, Cheese, and Ham. Both selections were excellent. The biscuit and gravy was particularly awesome. I also ordered a Hot Chocolate. They have three choices of hot chocolate with or without whipped cream. Service was friendly, speedy and pleasant. The restaurant was clean and well stocked with coffee customizing accessories."

Kristin U. "I just tried The Haverstick for the first time a few weeks ago. I hadn't realized it existed before... maybe because it's nestled behind The Church at the Crossing? But a no fee co-working space with its own coffee shop inside sounded well worth a try!The space has a lot of seating options. When you walk in, there are long tables to the left. If you keep entering the main space, there are couches, plush chairs, and standard table and chairs to choose from. The lighting is kept kind of dim. It's moody, but may be a bit tough on the eyes depending on what you're working on. The long tables over by the door have better light!I didn't take a look at the private rooms, but I know they have those available to rent for a fee. You can talk to the baristas about it.I haven't tried the tea yet, but that's next on my list! What I really like about this place, though, is that they allow you to bring in whatever food or drink you want. It's really a space designed to serve the community. That's not something you see every day! I'll definitely be back to The Haverstick soon!"

Ken N. "I stopped here on a rainy day and was greeted by a man seated near the entrance at one of the small tables there. He asked if I was there for coffee or food and let me know the coffee was self-serve (tea cups, not styrofoam/paper). I decided to go ahead and dine in and grabbed a spot at another table. Fortunately, there was a menu on the table already as I waited for signs of someone to take my order. The restaurant is long and narrow (shotgun) and has a quaint look with lots of china/decoration adorning the space and tablecloths. After another guest came in, who was also greeted by the man seated near the entrance, the man got up and brought me water and asked what I wanted to eat. I gave him my order of a half turkey club sandwich and a side salad and then helped myself to a cup of coffee. It was very odd that he sat there while I waited (several minutes). I've never experienced anything like it. Turns out he was one of the owners. After that unusual start, the food plate came out rather quickly and looked great. The side salad looked fresh and colorful with mixed greens, but leaves where full sized and needed to be cut before eating. I did like that the dressing came on the side. The half turkey club had turkey, bacon, and cheese on toasted white bread, and though the sandwich was okay, it lacked any condiments or seasoning to add layers to the sandwich. So, it was okay, but not something I would probably order again.I will say that the drip coffee (I got Hazelnut) was really tasty and ready to drink right away which I appreciated because of the damp chill in the air from a January rain. The space was quiet and inviting. Just needs a little tweaking to service/taste. When finished, I simply went to the counter by the pastry options and let the man and another staff member (he showed up about half way through my visit) know I was ready to check out instead of waiting for a bill to be brought to me. That seemed to work well.I would suggest that this is a place to visit if you aren't in a rush to get anywhere. Maybe a place for meeting a friend and spending time chatting. They do have alcohol for evening dining and offer breakfast options for morning folks as well.Review #3527"

I got the Tacone, which is a taco shaped waffle cone filled with soft serve and topped with cookie dough pieces, caramel and hot fudge. It was so good! I also got strawberry flavoring added and it was a really nice after dinner treat. They are open a little later than some other places in Franklin so that's nice and it also looks like there's space inside if you want to have a private party. Oh well. My coffee money went to Scooter's.I just got a black coffee from the drive-thru. Scooter's has a drive-thru! The whole transaction, from pulling up to the drive-thru kiosk to ordering to receiving my coffee, was seamless and fast. The people who work here who I encountered were very friendly, too. Scooter's has a large menu of coffee drinks. In fact, there are more coffee-like drinks than there are just regular coffee. They have things like Cinnamon Toast Crunch lattes, green leprechaun shakes, smoothies, and even energy drinks. They also have pup cups (of what looks like whipped cream) for dogs. I didn't want any of that, but if you're in the mood to drink all of your calories for the day, this place will help you out with that. The coffee was good, the service was quick, and best of all, they were open."

I settled down in the corner of the shop on a comfortable, cushiony, chair and flipped through my phone. Spoke to another lovely lady who had been waiting for her coffee. It was delicious and sweet and perfectly made.FYI: The cortado comes with a chocolate-covered coffee bean, which is a nice touch. There are also several seasonal coffee drinks on the menu, as well as every permutation of coffee you can think of, from espressos to Americanos to mochas, and also teas, cold and hot.1832 Brew Espresso Bar is located in the same building as Sub Zero Nitrogen Ice Cream. I saw that Root 2 Rise had great Yelp reviews, so I stopped in. They had cute tables outside, a beautifully-tiled counter inside, and lots of artsy, eclectic seating and tables throughout the indoor space. As someone who works from home, I quickly pegged it as a perfect spot to work from. The employees immediately greeted me too, so it all-around felt like a win.Their menus include smoothies, juices, a soup of the day, and a small fridge full of mini to-go meals. I got the anti-inflammatory juice: celery, kale, apple, pineapple, ginger, and lemon. It tasted great and felt good for the body. I was also thrilled to see a small spinach salad with chicken salad and walnuts on top in the fridge. It was a little bowl and so delicious. It's so rare to find a healthy, quick option like that. They also had a few burritos and sandwiches to choose from too.I easily connected to their wifi and got some work done while I enjoyed the food and juice. Such a perfect find. Only things I'd add to this spot would be a hook in the bathroom so you don't have to set your purse or backpack on the floor, as well as a recycling option, since I had to toss my juice and food containers, even though I enjoyed both in-person."

Quinn L. "I first discovered Mariam Coffee on Instagram, where I watched a video of traditional Turkish coffee being heated in a copper pot over hot sand. I was instantly intrigued and knew that I had to check this place out for myself.I was impressed with the variety of drinks on the menu, ranging from Turkish coffee, to boba tea, to more "familiar" drinks like macchiatos and milkshakes. There was something for everyone in my group to enjoy, even the pickier eaters. Mariam also offers an array of assorted baked goods and sweets, including the viral Dubai chocolate. Unfortunately, they were out of the Dubai chocolate when I went, and the waitress said it is very popular and usually sells out before the end of her shift. I wanted something refreshing and sweet, so I tried the sparkling boba drink with mango boba and strawberry syrup. It was presented to me on a wooden tray, and it tasted just as good as it looked! I loved the mix of mango and strawberry, and the fizziness from the sparkling water. On the table, there was a QR code to scan and leave a google review in exchange for a free Turkish coffee, and since that is what i came to Mariam for in the first place, I had to take advantage of that offer. The coffee was different than anything I had ever tasted before, and I can't say I was the biggest fan of the blend of spices. However, the experience of watching the coffee being brewed over the hot sand was very fun and made me glad that I tried something new.I would recommend Mariam to anyone who wants to diversify their palate and try a specialty drink from another culture!"

Jackie M. "Hello Fellow Yelpers Today, I allowed myself a good 30 minutes to do a little midday R&R at Ascend Coffee. This was my second time visiting this cozy coffee shop and I ordered myself a Brown Sugar Cinnamon Latte with Almond Milk Substitute. There were GF/DF breakfast squares on display, as well, so I added that to my $10 order. Ordering in person is quick and easy. The menu is pretty straightforward. I am not a coffee drinker but on occasion I can really use the pick-me-up. I like the seating arrangement in this open concept space. They have several couches, lounge seating, and a few little nooks (or I like to call them *cubbies*) with bench seating in the shape of your own personal cube. I had no trouble with setting up my things in my little cube, and there are charging outlets inside for your device. I recommend using a napkin or ask for a small plate for your food items to be laid on the bench that can cross-function as a low tabletop. Customers can clean up after themselves and any soiled dishes can be returned underneath their ice water station. I like that they use glassware for dining in. I will mention that today there were a good number of people already inside when I walked in at about 12:30 PM. There is semi-soft music playing overhead, but I noticed the conversations and talking more than that. Depending on your noise preferences, I would recommend wearing headphones (or airpods) to block out ambient sounds. The talking and chatter may be a distraction if you are coming in at a busier time and need to focus or study in "silence." But this is nothing unusual for a local coffee shop that is bustling. Today, I read another two chapters in one of my favorite Emily Henry books, 'Funny Story' and took my time savoring my gluten free, dairy free breakfast bar with my hot almond milk latte. This was a great choice of space to stay warm in this frigid weather. Easy going, casual, and cozy."
