Brenda J. "This restaurant has been around forever. When it opened, it was known for low prices, fresh food and a chocolate fountain surrounded with gargantuan strawberries, marshmallows along with other fruits to dip. While the huge fountain doesn't erupt from the restaurant's center at lunchtime (it maybe dinner only) there's still something for everyone. They have steak, spare ribs, sushi, dessert crepes made to order (limit 2 per person), a full salad bar, soups, pot roast, quesadillas and so much more."

Dale B. "This review is hot pot. Hot pot can be served but a reservation is required as hot pot dinning is an experience to be enjoyed over time. I think there is a minimum of four dinners for hot pot. The cost is a flat rate for all you can eat.The team here was excellent as hot pot is a process. The main server was very good at explaining how hot pot works. He was very friendly and welcoming. The support team was good at clearing the dishes in a timely basis and getting you more items. The hot pot unit is a burner placed in the middle of te table. The pot is split into two sides. One side was a mild chicken broth. The other side, which we selected, was a spicier broth. The spicy broth does have a bit of kick that will hit you after time. The broth comes with dumplings. The dumpings with shrimp and fish inside were tasty. The meal came with thin slices of lamb and beef. These cook in about 30 seconds and are a nice add to the meal. You can cook other items like noodles, mushrooms and other vegetables. These have less taste and appeal but they are part of the experience. The meal comes with two house made sauces. Both are very tasty. One is a lot more spicy than the other.I would encourage you to give hot pot dinning experience a try. It's not your usual Chinese food option."

Katherine A. "When you walk in and hear Frank Sinatra singing and see photos of Marilyn Monroe, you'll know your in the right place. Imperial Palace is a locally owned family business featuring traditional Chinese cuisine. During our visit, the owner was working alone and the dining room was full. They have only seven tables and those can fill quickly with the lunch crowd. He worked quickly to bring beverages and take orders. I had the Kung Pao Chicken and my husband had the Beef with Broccoli lunches. The food came out in about 15 minutes. Everything is prepared fresh. The egg roll was delicious and light. The ingredients in the Kung Pao Chicken were super fresh and the spice level was on the mild side for me. I wish I had requested more spice. But the freshness of the food made up for the lack of spice. There were two generous portions of rice. The lunch was delicious. My husband loved his Beef with Broccoli as well. They open at 11:00 am and serve lunch and dinner. There is plenty of parking in the strip mall. He does a robust service carry out as well. I'll definitely be back and I recommend. It's a fun little place."

Sam R. "Felt like I should update this since it's been four years. Asian Grill used to be one of my favorite restaurants, and it's definitely still good, but just not the same. They've completely redone the entire concept. No longer a sit-down, waiter-comes-to-the-table situation. Now you order at a counter, or even at a kiosk, and you go up to get it when your number is called. This has all sorts of ramifications...smaller menu (many of the best items slashed, like avocado soup, samosas, etc.), no ability to subsitute things or ask for things to be left out (they will tell you no). Theoretically this is supposed to make it all go faster, since one of the common complaints with the restaurant before was the slow wait time. My parents said they've been there a few times since the remodel and it was quick, but last night we went and it was not very fast, so makes me wonder whether the conceptual change accomplished what it was going for.Food is still good, I just don't feel strongly about it like I did back in the day. Partially because a lot of new, great restaurants have come into the area since the years when I frequented Asian Grill (~2013-2015ish)."

I ate in store from their dinner menu and I think that results in better quality food than takeout, so look at other reviews for takeout disappointment! I thought everything was pretty good, and not a bad deal either. The crab rangoon was frankly heavenly. I ate 6 of them and could have eaten twice that without a second thought. Staff were nice and quick, they aren't there to mess around! I was pretty sad to see they haven't gotten their buffet back up and running since COVID. Based on what I saw, it appears they don't have intentions of going back to a buffet for quite a while, or ever."

Wanda M. "We've been doing carryout from this family owned and operated restaurant for a long time. Golden Dragon went through several changes during the pandemic from being closed entirely, to carryout within the restaurant to pick up through an outdoor window where you weren't allowed inside the restaurant. They are now back to carryout being picked up inside the restaurant at the counter. Golden Dragon is located next door to the Marathon Gas Station/Village Pantry on the corner of Country Club and Crawfordsville Road. A few parking spaces are in front of the restaurant and spaces are only full for a couple minutes since this is carryout only with no dine in or delivery.Golden Dragon offers a lunch menu 7 DAYS A Week from 11:00am - 3:00pm for $6.75. They offer 29 different lunch options served with Pork Fried Rice or White Rice and choice of Soup (Egg Drop, Wonton or Hot & Sour Soup) or Egg Roll. Several items on their menu is automatically made hot but you can select any heat you prefer per dish. Just let them know when ordering. My favorite Appetizers are the Veggie Spring Rolls (2 per order), Crab Rangoon (5 or 10 per order) and the Steamed Dumplings (8 per order). Often I'll order the Steamed Dumplings or Crab Rangoon with a Spring Roll as my dinner. All of the soups are good from the Wonton, Chicken Rice, Chicken Noodle, Egg Drop, Hot & Sour or the House Special Soup. We've ordered all of them and it just depends on what we're hungry for at the time. The Soup can be ordered by the Pint or Quart. We always get the Quart so I'll have leftovers. One option we enjoy is called the Daily Special on the menu. It is much easier to understand on the menu but here goes. It is 5 meat options that can be ordered separately (called plain) or with 3 different additional side items. The Meat options are Three Wings ($4.95), Six Fried Jumbo Shrimp ($6.95), Ten Chicken Nuggets ($4.75), Ten Fried Scallops ($4.75) or Boneless Spare Ribs ($7.25). You decide if you want plain (just meat) or add one of the following sides of FF/Fried Rice, Chicken or Pork Fried Rice, or Beef or Shrimp Fried Rice. Each side dish price varies with the type of meat ordered. We like the Ten Fried Scallops with Shrimp Fried Rice which is just $6.75. Fried Scallops with FF/Fried Rice $5.25, Chicken or Pork Fried Rice $5.75 or Beef/Shrimp Fried Rice is $6.75. You get the idea. It is a lot of food with Ten Scallops and Shrimp Fried Rice. Sometimes my husband eats the Scallops and I have the Shrimp Fried Rice for just $6.75. Deal! The regular menu offers the standard Chinese options most Chinese restaurants offer but with a few twists. Most of the entrees can be ordered by Pint or Quart from Chow Mein/Chop Suey, Lo Mein, Chowder Mei Fun, Egg Foo Young to Fried Rice. Poultry, Pork, Beef, Seafood or Vegetable options are available as well. My husband orders the Pork Lo Mein most often, my son the Orange Chicken or Beef with Broccoli Combination. The Combination Plates offer 28 different options plus served with Fried Rice and Egg Roll for $8.95. The Chef's Specialities offer twelve options ranging from $10.95 - $14.95 and served with Fried or White Rice. A few of my favorites are the Four Seasons ($10.95) with Sautéed Shrimp, Chicken, Pork and Beef. The Happy Family ($13.75) is one of my top favorites with Jumbo Shrimp, Slices of Chicken, Lobster, Beef and Pork with assorted vegetables in a delicious brown sauce. My first choice is the Hunan Triple Crown ($13.75) with Scallops, Lobster, Jumbo Shrimp, Chicken fried with assorted vegetables in a Spicy Brown Sauce. I love spicy brown sauce on almost anything but they do have a White Sauce on the Seafood Combo ($14.75) if brown sauce isn't your thing. The carryout orders are usually correct including the sauces and rices. We often order several different entrees with appetizers and soups and it has been a very long time since we've had an error. The order is always packaged well in sturdy containers. It is your responsibility to pick up your own soy, sweet and sour and hot mustard sauce. We enjoy the food, polite staff, well packaged to go items and the fast service which will continue to bring us back."

It was a little busy at the time so it took a few minutes to place my order because there was only one waitress. I ordered hot tea, crab ragoon and Kung Pao Shrimp with white rice. The crab ragoons were huge the filling was not good at all and had no crab and were flavorless. I received my order with fried rice and it took two attempts to get the white rice. My meal was just okay. The entrée was bland. There was no Pao to my dish. I asked for spicy and definitely was not. Didn't taste authentic, more cooked from frozen. I had plenty of food leftover but left unfulfilled. Although I was the only one in the restaurant at the time, I didn't see her again during my meal. At the end she appeared and asked for a to go box. Once she gave it to me I started writing and finished this review and decided she wasn't coming back. I stood up and she was behind me watching something on her phone and eating! She was surprised to see me! Although lousy service I still tipped, less than normal!! It came with 2 side and I went with the egg roll and plain lo mein. The beef was pretty tender and the sauce had a great flavor to it. The broccoli was cooked just right and still had a bit of a crunch to it. The lo mein was a bit oily but tasted fine. And the egg roll... well it was tiny! I have never seen an egg roll that small. Bobby Y. "I didn't expect this place to be this good! It's great, actually. And the "New York Style" claim on their menu is pretty damn accurate. Having visited New York City well over 100 separate times throughout my life (and eaten upwards of 1000 restaurant meals there, about half of those being some kind of Asian cuisine) - I will attest. This mom & pop Indianapolis wok kitchen has skills! Their food is always well-seasoned, hot, and generously-portioned which makes it an amazing value. And their homemade hot chili oil ($1) is really potent. It's beautiful. If you order your food 'extra spicy' they don't charge you $1. They only charge you if you ask for the oil on the side. The leading indicators on whether I deem a Chinese take-out restaurant worthy of even trying is the color of their fried rice (even though I don't typically order it). If it's yellow, I'm out. If it's light tan, I'm in. Same with the Lo Mein: if it's yellow, I'm out. If it's light tan, I'm in. Easy peasy. I trust my process. Both items at King Dragon are light tan. Check and check!Ridiculously reasonable lunch specials in the six-dollar range come with a can of soda. This is eat-here-every-day pricing. I haven't been, but then again I don't live here and I've been frequenting a bunch of different places (like K Town Hot Pot and Cafe Patachou).Literally everything I've ordered has been delicious and as I would receive from the average Canal Street Chinatown wok shop in NYC. Indianapolis shouldn't sleep on this fact. They very well might as there are some super country folks around these parts."

The room is small but has plenty of booths and tables and is tastefully decorated with Chinese lanterns and fans.A fried dough with sauce was brought out to us as a free appetizer which was nice. They have lunch specials for a good price but you can order anything off the menu all day.I got the vegetable delight lunch special which came with my choice of soup, an egg roll, rice and the veggies in a sweet sauce. Not knowing much about Chinese food I might try for something more 'exotic' next time but this was flavorful and filling. The egg drop soup was a bit thick for me, but it had nice flavors. The veggies were crisp and a variety which I loved. Others got beef moo shu and loved it. I ordered the crab ragoons since it was a buy one, get one free special through Uber Eats, and the sweet and sour chicken. The crab ragoons were delicious, but nothing to write home about to your parents. The sweet and sour chicken is the same, but tasted great. I called ahead for takeout and the gentleman who answered took my order quickly and efficiently. I was quoted 15 minutes for pick up, and it was ready timely. I arrived and a man behind plexiglas retrieved my order and cashed me out (pro tip: to go condiments are directly behind you as you're standing at the counter). It appeared to be a busy place, as I could see several people cooking in the back with large woks. The small restaurant was steamy! My bean curd with mixed vegetables and hot & sour soup both smelled great all the way home. Once I got in the door, I couldn't wait to try the soup. It was still hot, and as flavorful as any H&S I've had but there was just a hint of a different taste. Not bad, but almost a processed flavor, like soup that comes from a can. Not saying this is the case, but it's the best way I can describe the flavor. Nonetheless it was still good. My bean curd (tofu) dish was different that what I was used to as well. At other restaurants I've had the same dish with a clear sauce. This dish had a brown sauce...it was not unpleasant, but more oily that I was used to. Again, perhaps just a difference in interpretation. Nonetheless, the portions were large for the price and this meal easily made 2 servings. CW was worth trying and all in all a quick, decent take out meal."

But since I had been in my car most of the day, I wanted to get out. So, I placed an order for gyoza (6 small pork dumplings) and the Teryaki Chicken Bento Box which comes with a choice of soup or salad (Egg drop soup for me).The soup was lighter in color and maybe a bit thinner than other soups I've had elsewhere, but the flavor was full of egg (and a bit of salt). The gyoza was next and came with a dipping sauce. The plate was colorfully presented with shredded carrot ribbons in the pinwheel center. Nice balance of crispy outside and tender inside. Good flavor! The bento box contained a single, but large, crabmeat rangoon, a 4-pc California roll, about a cup of mixed rice, and a decent lunch sized portion of chicken and veggies prepared in a thin Teryaki sauce. The chicken was a little bit overcooked, but not enough to ruin the meal. The veggies were also thoroughly cooked beyond al dente. The service was efficient and got my food out and check processed so that all too soon, I was back on the road.Review #2246"
