Wanda M. "We've driven past Queso weekly but, for some reason, never stopped here. This evening we decided to change that. They are easy to find, located behind Belle Tire and across the street from Andy Mohr Ford on US 40/Washington Street/Main Street in the small strip center. Parking is shared with the other businesses in the strip center. A nice patio area will be opening when the weather permits. Queso is a family-friendly restaurant, and they take reservations.Lunch is served from 11a - 3p, Mon. - Fri. and a kid's menu is available. They have live music on Friday and Saturday evenings with seating close to the stage. We received a friendly greeting and immediately shown to a table in the bar area. The bartender was our server and arrived promptly. My husband ordered a Dos Equis Amber, and I had the house margarita. They have full bar service and serve many types of margaritas and hand-crafted cocktails. Both our drinks were extremely cold, and the house margarita had a nice flavor. Many non-alcoholic beverages are offered, including Pepsi products. The menu isn't extensive, like some Mexican restaurants we've seen. However, several unique items seldom seen on others' menus are served at Queso. Several specialty entrees are on the menu as well. I'm looking forward to trying the Street Corn, Quacamole Molcajete, Ceviche, and Chicken Tortilla Soup. The menu offers authentic Mexican food with 8 types of homemade salsas. Daily specials of food or drink are listed in the entrance or see the attached picture. Chips and salsa arrived at the table quickly. The chips are very thick, and we weren't fans. The server was patient as we were indecisive on what to try first. My husband opted for the 3 Ribeye Tacos (no mix and match) served with one side, and his side choice was charro beans. He loved the steak tacos.I ordered the Chicken Enchiladas served with two sides, which were charro beans and plantains. We both enjoyed the meaty charro beans, and the plantains were lightly crispy but with a sweet, soft center. Our server was attentive, friendly, and efficient. Our order arrived timely with a nice presentation. The atmosphere is casual and a perfect spot to celebrate a birthday. 2 birthdays were celebrated while we were there. Their birthday version is very loud. Fun spot to celebrate, good food, live music on weekends, and several types of margaritas."

Katherine A. "I can't pass by a small town tavern without checking out the tenderloin sandwiches. This locally owned bar/grill is located in the heart of Napoleon, Indiana. The place is not fancy, actually a little dated, but clean and welcoming. There is a full bar with photos of the regulars hanging around. Electronic games, a jukebox, an atm, tv monitors and more are scattered around the various rooms of dining tables. Country music fills the air.Our servers were friendly and attentive. The food took about 15 minutes to prep and appear at our table. The servers checked on us frequently. We ordered breaded tenderloin sandwiches with onion rings. One of the servers told us that the pork was locally sourced and hand battered. Other regulars, next to us, recommended the onion rings as a side. The tenderloin was not pounded thin, but thick and juicy. The breading was light and flavorful. The bun did not hold up well, but it was fresh. The onion rings were amazing. The helping was generous and the breading was a light beer batter. It was a great meal made with local ingredients. The building is smoke free, but there is a patio that appears to allow smoking behind the main building. The rest rooms were super clean. There is street parking and and plenty of parking behind the building."

The inside has been completely renovated and there's a nice upstairs and separate pool room. I tried the black bean burger with fries and it was good. My girlfriends had the classic burger loaded with onion rings and enjoyed them. The prices are reasonable and there's plenty of parking. The service was good, even though we were definitely there on one of their busiest nights of the year during the harvest fest. I hope the new owners have fun and keep up the good momentum. Nice cocktails"

Joel B. "Great service, great location! Came here after another restaurant in town that had "river" in its name was closed for the day. Good thing too because it turned out the other spot did not actually have a view of the river. Was out on our anniversary and the owner and waitress were so accommodating and helpful, even allowing us to sit upstairs and helping us to surprise a dear friend that we were paying a surprise visit too while passing through the area! Food was fairly standard fare with pretty much everything under the sun on offer within the menu. The menu unfortunately had some pretty unappetizing photos of the food on it, but fortunately the food tasted better than it looked in the menu. It was actually the owner and his staff and the location that are the standouts here. They also offer the free use of the riverside volleyball courts for anyone eating at the restaurant and also allow non-paying customers to also play for a small cover charge. Our friends kids had a blast after dinner, playing volleyball on a court all to themselves while the littlest one collected shells on the shore. Given this was a Tuesday night, a Friday night crowd might be different, but we sure enjoyed having the outside almost to ourselves and we couldn't have chosen a better spot for our anniversary/reunion and hangout spot after! Thanks so much guys!"

Parked around the back. Fried pickles were nice. The loaded fries were the highlight. The fries stayed crispy and the generous with the toppings. The bbq dry rub wings were crispy and meaty. I do wish they came with a side of clue cheese. Draft beer could've been colder but still hit the spot. The service was attentive and great. The food arrived quickly. I want to go back for a game."

Jen P. "The entire reason I visited One-eyed Jacks was because I heard so much about their breaded pork tenderloin and it did not disappoint. The tenderloin was thicker than you find in most places, which means it was also moister. The breading was perfection. I ordered mine with lettuce, mayo, onion, and mayo. I just took the bun off because it was pointless. I think this will be four meals out of one sandwich. It's excellent value. Service was spot on. This place really should be a pilgrimage for anyone who craves Hoosier Breaded Pork Tenderloin sandwiches. I will visit again."

The owner was sitting at the bar and said they have no glasses so I would have to buy a bottle of water. I have no problem buying a bottle of water but you are telling me that at a BAR you have no glasses? Not to mention I can very plainly see the stack of glasses behind the bar. I wanted ICE water so I refused it. I don't appreciate being lied to and refuse to give any money to him even if it's just a couple dollars for a bottle of water."

Once seated, our server came over pretty quickly and took our drink order and brought us water. We then put our order in. It took a while for our order to arrive, but keep in mind that the restaurant was super crowded. To accommodate us, our server gave us complimentary guacamole and chips. To be honest, the chips and guac was extremely bland. We couldn't eat it. I'm so glad my food was good, lol! I had the bacon cheddar burger with fries. The burger was delicious and juicy. I also had the beer battered fish. It was good as well. We luckily arrived during happy hour and was able to sample multiple drinks at a discounted rate. I had the watermelon mojito. It was one of my favorites. Then I had another cocktail that was just as good. Loved it!"

There are more tables than there used to be under the previous ownership that focused more on carryout. My wife and I stopped in for a date night and sampled various dishes on the menu.We started with a wonderful cheese board ($14 for 3 kinds of cheese and accoutrements). The selection of cheeses was a great mix and we really enjoyed this delicious start to the meal.My wife spotted others snacking on the truffle popcorn ($6) and had to give it a try. The flavor was definitely unmistakable, and while it's not my favorite thing, it was at least worth a try.We split the smoke chicken sandwich ($14 with a choice of side dish). This adds pickled jalapeno, white bbq sauce, shredded lettuce, and Dutch's unique "American" cheese crumbles. This was a big sandwich and was very good. The potato salad on the side was a nice mixture of local red potato, mustard seed, and mayo.My wife also had to try their butternut squash bisque ($6) which she declared the best she's had. The TOMBSTONE PIZZA which is the only food item available? The bartenders and servers who are actually pleasant and seem to enjoy their jobs?Or, maybe because the place is named after the 70's porn classic "Behind the Green Door"?The only thing I regret is not having discovered this little oasis until recently."

Servers and bartenders are friendly, however, we were given the wrong credit card one time and the other customer had our card as well.
