Bub's Burgers & Ice Cream

I have read a lot about this place either via Yelp or Only in your state that I get daily emails from. So I came here while at the car show Artomobilia. The service was wonderful zero issues. The ambiance was a clean well maintained business and the bathroom was even clean. This was impressive since there was a line most of the day to use it. The food. Okay my burger was perfectly done and very tasty. The onion tings were good but not amazing and some of the other side choices just didn't sound as good. I didn't get a milkshake this trip, but I will be back to try one. I can't sing the place based on my onion ring thoughts. Heck we all have a bad day. I think they were a little over done. So extra crispy. They were packed most of the day so I am sure the cooks had a rough day. I will be back.

Love the location right in the middle of Carmel next to the Monon! Could be a little tight inside when really busy, but a great patio to enjoy! While they may seem "small" compared to the other places/building around it, they packs a mean, delicious punch with their Burgers! Not many places around have Elk as an alternative option for beef, but anytime I come to Bubs, that's my preference!! SO GOOD!I'm not quite ready for a 1lb BIG UGLY Burger yet (if you can eat it all, you get your picture on the wall!) But, I'm getting there, as I got the next one down, the "Twice as Ugly"! Ha

Best burger I've had in the Indy Metro area and I eat a lot of them. The grade of meat, how it's SEASONED..... WOW . If you know of a better burger please DM me because I'll need to see for myself.

My elk burger tasted ok but nothing amazing. Myself and both of my children had some very nasty GI issues later that evening so.... maybe it was the burgers? No long lines but a long wait. Plenty of empty tables and no one busing them for the next people in line. They did appear short staffed. We arrived at 4:20pm and our order arrived at 5:20pm. Bathrooms were not clean and the soap dispensers were out of soap. Thank goodness for Wet Wipes in emergencies like this. I have only been to Bub's one other time about six years ago. Even then I remember it just being a burger joint but not a place I had to go back to.

I love this eclectic little stop along the Monon!After a day of running on the trail, I was ready for a hearty meal, and Bub's fit the bill. Be prepared for a wait on a busy Saturday night! (Though we had no issue entertaining ourselves in some of the area shops until our table was ready)Once seated, we settled on Elk burgers with all the toppings, and a side of fries and onion rings to share. The food came out quickly and was darn tasty - my burger was cooked perfectly, and despite how lean Elk is, it was quite flavorful and juicy. The onion rings tasted homemade and the fries were delicious as well. What really made the meal was the burger seasoning - which was so good we bought a jar to bring home. Service was excellent here. Julie was one of the best servers I have had in quite some time. Bub's is definitely worth a visit when you're in the area.

Bub's is the place to go if you are looking for a solid elk burger or chili in a bread bowl! Food is always cooked correctly and staff is friendly! There is seating indoors and outdoors and a small parking lot. Cute little place right on main street!

Would definitely be 5 star review except.... The bathroom. Came here on the Fourth of July and we're surprised by being seated immediately. Went early in the evening so that helps. Service was great and relatively attentive for a mostly high school staff. Food was GREAT, not what we were expecting at all. Burgers were cooked accordingly, everything was fresh and the fries (sweet potato and regular) were fantastic. The bathroom needs some serious TLC, but other than that one of my new favorite casual spots in carmel! There is parking but it's right on the monon so an easy walk if there's no space in the small lot.

Bub's Burgers is a smaller restaurant in the Carmel Art District. The decor inside is nice, flooded with pictures of people who have taken on the famous Big Ugly Burger, a 1lb burger. I however was just there to eat and not be on an episode of Man vs Food. The service was decent, not anything notable, but you are given uno cards as you wait. The water was notably bad. The menu is very limited, they do just burgers, hotdogs, and fries, similar to 5 Guys. The Quarter Pound Burger was a smash burger concept, and I will say was quite good. Very crispy, and flavorful, and the toppings were a great compliment. The fries weren't great. Pretty bland, and just not anything special. Overall I'd say my experience was okay, probably wouldn't ever go back. This place reminded me of Sasha Vujacic. If the name doesn't ring a bell I don't blame you. Sasha was a decent NBA player with the Lakers and won a ring by getting carried, and nothing about his was overly noteworthy. He was well-liked, but nothing he did ever stood out. I think he well embodies this restaurant.

Delicious burger that was cooked properly, crispy waffle fries and creamy milkshakes. Servers were all super friendly and helpful and food arrived quickly. Would recommend coming here!!

You can never go wrong with having dinner at Bub's! Elk is fantastic, as is the chili! Atmosphere is inviting and the place is clean. The service is really good and did I mention, the food is fricken awesome! If you haven't tried it, you are missing out.
