Broken Barrel Bar And Grill

My son took me here for lunch - first time trying it. Friendly service - I recognized the owner from their other restaurant, Cracked Pot. I asked her if the crispy chicken sandwich was hand breaded & she stated it comes in already breaded. However, when she delivered the Chicken Sammy, she asked the chef to bread the chicken breast by hand. It was good but breading was bland - needed some seasoning. She agreed & said they may start hand breading the Chicken Sammy. Love that she went out of her way to make my first meal here a success. The sweet potato fries that came with my sandwich were very good. My son ordered the Sweet & Spicy burger with regular fries. He said it was delicious. Would definitely return here.

Good ambiance. Nice bar area. Parking isn't bad and an easy walk. Got the pork rinds and pretzel balls as an appetizer and they aren't bad at all. Prime rib was tasty, asparagus side literally was 3 pieces that's it. Friend got the BBQ Pizza and it looked good. Bar was crowded and waitress said they only had one bartender workin. Drink was not good, tasted funny, like it had a chemical taste. I would give the place an additional star but from the time we ordered dinner till the time we received our food was 45 minutes. Very slow.

We have only tried the flatbread pizza so far. Other than price, not sure if there is a difference in size. They are a decent size for the price. You can add ingredients on to make them more personal. I feel the sausage could be a little more flavorful. It's not an Italian style but it's okay. It's much better than the chain pizzas in town. Still haven't sat down and eaten in the restaurant but the staff and decor are nice. I have always liked the bar area

Cute little place in Middletown. My husband and I split the Rueben balls with the homemade 1000 island dressing and the bbq burger. Both were very tasty. Definitely other things on the menu I wanted to try but they were out of several things. The server was very nice and attentive. Will be back to see what else is good.

This restaurant is open about a week ago. It is owned by the same people that own the Cracked Pot which has been open for several years and their food is delicious. I am anxious to try the food here. The staff is very cordial. The staff very friendly and they are the same staff that's at the Cracked Pot! The buildings is extremely clean and was an Italian restaurant for many years! The service is slow but that can be expected having been opened for less than a week!

Unfortunatley, we didn't have a great experience at Broken Barrel tonight. We were a party of 6. Appetizers came out pretty quickly; wings were not well done as requested but they were tasty, cheese balls were just ok. Our meals on the other hand took a very long time to come out. Even after our server said that she "saw the kitchen plating our food", we waited at least another 20 minutes. In all, we probably waiting at least 35-45 minutes. A side of broccoli came out cold and was replaced iwth a hot serving pretty quickly. A baked potato, which was split, was visibly rotten on half the potato making that half inedible, and the pizza was below average which is very unfortunate considering the have a wood fire pizza oven. Perhaps the kitchen staff doesn't know how to properly use the oven? The crust was not crisp, cheese barely melted, and the sauce was definitely not homemade. We probalby could have gotten a better pizza at a skating rink, amusement park, or any chain pizza restaurant. The burgers were very tasty and cooked as ordered, and the pork cutlet sandwich was very good. We complained about the below average pizza and the owner took it off the bill; however, the owner did not come out and speak with us. After we paid, we used the ladies room where we found a dirty cleaning rag left on the counter directly next to the sink. This was also reported to staff. Unfortunately, Broken Barrel won't last long with this type of service.

Stopped by for lunch today for a quick bite, they have just started opening for lunch (soft opening), this place is awesome, service, staff, and food excellent, a definite go to place for me, dinner is just as good, owners (Brian & Tracy) are great people, knowledgeable & friendly, try the Wisconsin burger, it's orgasmic!!!!!

The Broken Barrel Bar was lovely.The food was so good. The restaurant was a delight. The servers were very warm and friendly. We had a lovely time.

I ordered the chicken breast sandwich which was suppose to come on a bun with onions, pickles and sauce with a side of fries and this is what I received. Chicken was tough and not very flavorful. Fries tasted good. I understand that the location was having short staff issues in the kitchen so the owners were working the kitchen but you would think the owners of the business would have known how to make the menu they created. I might try this place again as I have heard great reviews from other people and on Facebook but tonight they fell flat.

Great food and service! The staff and servers are very welcoming. I loved the fries and onion petals; not greasy and they are crave worthy; we'll be back.[I live in Middletown, Ohio, and updated my profile, so not sure why this shows a different location.]
