I was supposed to get a tour of their apartments this past weekend and I scheduled the tour nearly a week in advance, but I kept getting mixed info sent to me regarding my scheduled tour. One day they tell me I'm scheduled for Friday, the next day they tell me the following Monday. I clarified multiple times and they told me I was set for Saturday, but I show up on time and nobody was at the office. I called and emailed but nobody answered, so I waited and nobody showed up. I finally get an email response today and they tell me that I was supposed to be informed of them having to reschedule, but I never received that communication. This office is so unorganized and I would not want to get an apartment at a place that can't even handle properly scheduling an appointment.

The people who live there are great and never had a problem with my neighbors but god damn if the staff isn't the shittiest ppl you've ever met. Nothing gets done in a respectful time. It'll take a week a least before they even come check stuff out. Sucks if you have anything major happening. They'll charge you 1300 a month for rent in a heart beat but wont do shit for you other than that.

You know that incessant beeping noise that large construction equipment makes when it backs up? Or the sound of a dump truck's tailgate hitting the back of its truck bed when it's emptying dirt? Or how about the screeching of old equipment that probably should have been oiled months ago? Well, move in at Brockton and you'll learn to love all of these sounds. From the 7am beeping and grinding to the 2am dump truck emptying, your dreams will be riddled with beeps and bangs as long as you live here. Oh, not to mention the sounds of the state fair train whose tracks are conveniently located within walking distance...which means during state fair week expect to hear a train roll by and toot it's horn (which is a sound probably pretty close the sound of the gates of hell opening) as it passes your building. The reason I give this place three stars is because my apartment is nice, the location is awesome, the neighborhood is safe and calm, and the management is nice enough. So there's that.

Shout out to this AH-MAZING community! Just when we thought it couldn't get any better, we woke up this morning to completely cleaned off walkways after the decent amount of snow we got yesterday. That's what customer service is all about. They really do go above and beyond to ensure that they deliver maximum customer service every single day. Our facilities are always clean and fresh. The grounds are kept. The response time is almost immediate to any needs that come up. We'ce been working with Kellie since day one and she has been nothing but wonderful. I could go on forever. If you're looking for a place to rent in midtown/Broadripple area but would prefer to stay out of the college student ridden properties, you've found your next home. You won't regret it!

I have lived in Brockton for almost 5 years and am very satisfied with this community. The office staff is friendly and helpful, maintenance issues are handled in a timely manner, the location is great -- only 5 minutes from Broad Ripple and 15 minutes from downtown or Castleton Square. Because it's located within an established neighborhood of freestanding homes, the area is fairly safe and there is not a lot of traffic. It is a destination community, not a drive-by. Because I live in a building with an underground garage, my car is out of the weather and I can go directly into the building (it's the only building with this amenity) from my car. There also are free storage lockers in the garage. There is a community pool and workout room that are well-maintained, as are the laundry rooms in my building. Outside, there is a recycling bin and an incinerator so you can get rid of your trash/recyclables at any time. (The recycling bin fills up quickly so you have to learn the timing.) Just for fun, the staff provides special activities to keep residents involved, like pizza night, car washes, a holiday/Christmas party, etc. We also get coupon perks on the first of the month. Yeah, my apartment is somewhat dated with older cabinets and floors, but at 1200 square feet, it's big, comfortable and has great views. I plan on living here a long time and have recommended it to friends. Stop in the office any time of day and get a cookie baked on-site!-- Rita Rose

I just moved out of this apartment complex and I really and truly hated it. This was my first apartment after college, and my parents more or less picked it for me since it had a locked underground garage and was generally pretty secure and quiet. I enjoyed the location and the quiet residents (most of them are very old) and the garage situation. The management of this place, however, is atrocious. Let me explain: 1) MY AIR CONDITIONING BROKE IN JULY and they took 8 days to fix it. I called every day and explained that my unit was 88 degrees and getting hotter and that I would have to sleep at a friends house for a few days. Each time, they told me they were just "really busy" and would "get around to it." Eventually, they sent this creepy guy over who, instead of jumping to fix the unit, told me it was "awful close" to when he had to go home for the day, so he was just going to put it off until tomorrow. Then he walked around the apartment and started asking me about my sound equipment!2) Our elevators were broken for weeks on end throughout 2011. Even when they were "fixed," they still stopped on EVERY FLOOR, but the management said they would get an elevator repairman in there "soon"--5 days later. 3) Every appliance in my apartment was at least 20 years old. The entire kitchen looked like it had been transplanted from 1982, including a "harvest yellow" fridge. The oven worked about half of the time. 4) They brought in a new internet bill-paying system but it NEVER EVER WORKS. A few times it charged me twice, and when I called to complain, the management wouldn't refund the $2 "convenience fee" that THEIR SYSTEM charged me IN ERROR. They also suggested I just "leave it like it is" and consider it pre-payment for the next month. Like I could possibly afford to let go of $1400 dollars and just "let it go." This happened more than once, and it actually became MORE convenient to pay my rent, in 2012, by putting a paper check in an envelope. Crazy. 5) $200 SECURITY DEPOSIT. $1300 IN MOVE-OUT FEES. They charged me twice what the move-out charges sheet says because they determined certain things were "ex. dirty" or charged me for SHIT THAT WAS BROKEN WHEN I MOVED IN! They charged me to replace the DISGUSTING ASTRO TURF that was there (and gross!) when I moved in! They charged me $20 for REMOVING 3M HOOKS FROM THE CLOSET! They charged an extra $100 for "cleaning and deodorizing" my fridge. They did not do a pre-move inspection as they are required. Every goddamned door had a different key, plus they re-keyed the place several times, requiring tenants to go to the leasing office and get a new key instead of giving new keys to the tenants individually. I hate this place. The building was ugly and the management was uncaring at best and actively trying to screw me out of money at worst. DO NOT LIVE HERE.

No apartment complex is perfect but I've been pretty happy at Brockton in the first 4 months I've lived here. My experience with the staff hasn't been bad... They tend to handle maintenance requests within a day or two and I've never had an issue being over charged, etc. My apartment is standard. I have the outdated cabinets and updated appliances. The cabinets aren't too bad for being outdated. The paint job when I moved in was okay but I noticed specks and marks here and there. My neighbors and I don't talk too much. They typically are friendly. The guy next to me has a pretty loud speaker system, but he tends to turn it off right at 10 which is quite hour. So overall a nice place for the location and price. Not infested with bugs or bad people. Safe and quite neighborhood.

Have lived here since March 11th and I love it! Everything is perfect, I have a beautiful updated apartment with hardwood floors and I am right across from pool and fitness center. The neighborhood is very nice and I love being in the broadripple/glendale area. Love it!

I've been a resident for two and a half years. I was having a difficult time finding a place and Kellie, who was the leasing agent was very kind and helpful. The maintenance staff Griffin and Havier were courteous and expedient when I called what ever the needs. Randy has been helpful with issues with my car which of course is above and beyond. Everyone here is great top to bottom and I am looking forward to the Christmas Party.
