It's been several years since I've been to Brew Ha Ha, and I was pleasantly surprised how much the event has grown. Instead of just being on the street, there were vendors in a lot across from the Phoenix Theatre that wasn't there the last time I came. I also liked the VIP access to the event an hour earlier than general admission. I went for this and was able to get quite a bit of sampling in beforehand without having to wait in lines. Truthfully, the lines weren't that long even after everyone started to arrive, so don't think you have to buy the tickets or you'll be standing in lines most of the time.

This was a nice summer beer fest ($35) There was a good amount of breweries, lines were short. I would have liked to of had a list of brewers/beers. there were some food options- loved the Ruth Chris Kobe Beef slider (2-$5). There was a decent amount of shade, wish we would have brought lawn chairs. Regular hours were 3p-7p- i would not pay VIP on this one unless they added more extras. Oh and they had live bands playing too! We didn't worry about parking used UBER/LYFT, went over to Mass ave for dinner after.

Good food, good music and of course, GOOD BEER!Not like most micro-brew festivals, The Phoenix puts a cap on the amount of people who can attend, and that is a GOOD thing. That way, you can spend more time drinking beer, and hanging out talking with quality people than you do waiting in line for beer. Purchasing a ticket couldn't be more simple, call ahead! (It's also cheaper than buying at the gate) The Brew Ha Ha is planned fairly well in advanced, and if you are in the know, you know what number call. (I'll tell you, because I am helpful, 317-635-7529)See you at The Phoenix!
