Brenda's Cakes and Catering

Since November I've had 3 cakes made by Brenda and I absolutely love every cake she's made! They're beautiful, they taste delicious and stay soft for awhile; unlike others I've have before.I've sent Brenda a picture of a cake I wanted and she's made it EXACTLY how it was in the photo. I've given her an idea of how I wanted a cake and she created it how I pictured, she's just naturally gifted.Brenda's also very punctual, she let's you know how everything works off bat. How payment is taken, what forms of payment she takes (credit and/ or card), when you need to be at the shop to pick up the cake and so on.In the shop she has seasonal cakes, wedding cakes, birthday cakes, her pro-folio of different cakes she's done (and can do) from past vendors and events. The accessories you can add to the cakes etc.

I ordered a cake for a colleague's going away party as it was her favorite. I placed an order from their website, sent in a description and pictures of what we wanted on the cake and it turned out pretty as well as delicious! The communication was quick and friendly within a couple of days of responses. We did a half sheet, half white and half chocolate, it was very tasty and had the perfect amount of sweet. Pickup was quick, although it being right on Rockville Rd with heavy traffic it was a bit tricky but made it out okay from the parking lot as it is a tiny lot. I would definitely order again for my own events!

I had my quinceañera cake made my Brenda's. I loved it! We scheduled a cake testing before ordering it. My cake was beautiful! I didn't have to stress about picking it up! they delivered to the venue. It had a waterfall and was pretty big! They had a couple different cakes with different flavors. I highly recommend to anyone

Brenda's Cakes is a small locally owned bakery on Rockville Road next door to Jay Orner's Billiards Store. I chose Brenda's for my wedding cake a few years again after countless people kept mentioning her name when weddings came up. Her cakes are delicious and several people at our wedding asked for the bakery name. Many noted her cakes are comparable to Classic Cakes in Carmel. Since then several friends have used Brenda's and all were incredibly pleased. Her prices are reasonable, the cakes are beautiful, she delivers and most important is prompt. She also offers cakes and cupcakes for any occasion. Beginning this week, they are making Edible Fruit Arrangements. I can't wait to try these.As with any bakery, I recommend taking photos of designs you love, which I did, and she duplicated the design perfectly. We used Brenda for our wedding cake and it couldn't have been more awesome. My husband and I love super hero's but wanted something elegant too. I gave her what I dreamt of and she made it happen. We had the cake and cupcakes as well and everything tasted so good! We got so many compliments on the cake and everyone asked who our baker was. Highly recommend!!!

I got my son's first birthday cake done here and I was very impressed. I walked in about 3 weeks prior to needing the cake and briefly gave the woman at the counter a description of what I wanted. She wrote some stuff down but no sketches or anything. I walked out feeling a little hesitant as to whether or not she understood exactly what I wanted in the cake. When I came back to pick up the cake the dayof the party it could not have been more perfect. From the shade of blue to the crown placed on top(it was a prince party) everything was perfect.I was so pleasantly surprised at how good the cake tasted. It was incredibly moist and flavorful. That is hard to find these days, it seems to me the better the cake usually looks the worse it tastes. I will definitely come back to Brenda's. The reason I gave it four stars is that it was a bit on the pricey side. I paid $70 for a six inch cake.

Did a great job on the cake I ordered. It was definitely a strange order (my husband loves pizza), but they did an awesome job and were very easy to do business with. Highly recommend for specialty cakes/custom orders.

I've gone to Brenda's Cakes for 3 orders. Two have been for my daughter's past two birthdays. The most recent, for my girlfriend's and her best friend's birthday.The cakes have always been delicious and absolutely beautiful. The latest occasion was a short-notice-planning kinda deal, and they were able to construct a wonderful 2-tier decorated cake that was loved by all.The prices very reasonable for such quality. The 2-tier fondant decorated cake - which is much heavier than one might imagine - survived the driving around to its destination without moving a bit.The people there always seem super busy - which is good for them! - and are helpful and nice as hell. They always ask the right amount and types of questions to make sure you get what you expect/hope for, which has also helped me consider ideas and options I'd not thought of!Overall, Brenda's Cakes is aces. Highly recommended, and I will continue to support this great local business!

I ordered a cake for my daughter's second birthday , it was perfect! The design, flavor, texture, everything. This was my first time using brenda's cakes but i will be recommending to everyone. They were accommodating and the cake looked identical to the picture . Everyone at the party mentioned how good it tasted as well. I will be using brenda's cake from here on out!

We order my daughter's wedding cake at Brenda's I gave them a 5 stars for following reasons:- Planning & ordering. Very accessible- we came in the store with no appt( which i'm not recommending) but Brenda herself was still able to sit down & accommodate to take our orders. -Flexibility to customize our order. We received the cake that we wanted & exceeded our expection. Not only on how it looks but how it taste.-Cake taste is SUPERB! You can tell the quality of ingridients and the excellent baking skill as it's presentation & taste. Total difference on store bought cake. No comparison. All worth the penny we spend. We are a very satisfied customer. Highly highly recommend for cake needs.
