Braves Breakfast and Grill Restaurant

We were headed to another breakfast option in Wabash but decided to give Braves another try after a mediocre experience previously. After being seated in a nice booth we were both impressed by the new additions to the menu and the available options. I eat a very low carb diet though and their ala carte menu was crazy expensive. Within a few seconds we heard a customer order a Bloody Mary and were very impressed with their new alcohol selections for a dinner experience, and mentioned to each other we should give dinner a try next time. My wife ordered a platter with crispy bacon and hash browns and I ordered 3 eggs, some bacon, sausage, and gravy. The food was served in a reasonable time but immediately we noticed the bacon was very chewy and had obviously been cooked early in the day and held in a warning pan. We heard 2 other tables complain about the bacon and thus we decided to throw our 2 cents in. The waitress responded with "we can't tell the kitchen anything" and stated customers constantly complain about the bacon. With my ala carte order the bill ended up being $34 which we felt was ridiculous for a 2 person breakfast. Ultimately we will give it a chance for dinner but "The Fried Egg" will be our choice for breakfast for now on.

I was seated quick and immediately ask what I'd like to drink. The staff was friendly and eager to serve me. After placing my order, my food came quickly. I ordered from the breakfast part of the menu. I was happy to see breakfast being served all day. My food was very appealing to the eye, with everything being hot. I'll definitely be back to eat a Braves again.

We, 7 of us, eat there 1-2 times each month, enough times they notice if anyone is missing. Generally the menu items are very good, however their buffet is very disappointing. Today's offerings were, at best tepid. I understand you can't offer steak at an all-you-can eat buffet, but you can offer what ever you do offer, hot. The selections looked to be a bit old. The ham had been on it for a while and was as tough as shoe leather. The corn, what little that was left, was exposed to the air on top and dried out. The breaded meat was similarly unappetizing. The beef noodles were very good, just barely warm. The mashed potatoes had seen better days and were the consistency of library paste. Either do it right, or don't do it at all. The price for the buffet is too high to attract enough patrons to allow for the kind of turnover you need to keep everything fresh. On the bright side, the salad side was quite fresh and good. Do Better!

Went yesterday and had the buffet. The salad bar was excellent! The food on the other part of the buffet was almost cold. The chicken was rubbery, like it had been there awhile. We were there at 11:30 and the buffet starts at 11:00. The food should've been fresh and the chicken and fish were barely warm. I've been to the restaurant before and it always has good food . I definitely would not recommend the buffet.

Felt like there was no heat in the restaurant. I ordered a 2 piece grilled chicken which ended up being 2 thin slices of chicken breast. Waitress did not understand the menu & I got charged for a side of queso instead of the cheese, gravy, and mushrooms I ordered. Waitress asked my husband if he wanted queso or shredded cheese on his steak, he said shredded, but it came out with queso. $52 for 2 meals & 2 drinks. Would not return.

Waitress was attentive but smelled like cigarette smoke, food was plentiful but tasted as though cheap ingredients were used. My husband had a Monte Cristo which is supposed to have Swiss cheese on it and it had American cheese.

Had breakfast at this restaurant today and really enjoyed the meal. The server was wonderful and the food filling.

I got the Seniors grilled chicken and mashed potatoes with chicken gravy. The chicken was dry, tough and flavorless. The gravy was bright yellow and tasted nasty. The dinner roll was tough. I had water for my beverage. The menu price was 8.99. The bill said 9.35. When I asked about that, I was told if I paid with cash it would be 8.99, with a card 9.35. I told them they needed to state that in the menu. I paid with cash and will never go back.
